The Rise of Skywalker: Ascendant (Released)

In looking over my ROTJ Custom SE which was sourced from the 19SE and Labyrinth of Evil which was sourced from the HDTV transfer, it does seem pretty consistently blue.

When I imagine the scene in ROTJ, it does seem purplish, so perhaps that was indeed a 1997/2004 peculiarity. As things stand, though, it really doesn’t seem merited to change the color even if I did feel like being a stickler for it.

The Mandalorian - a general discussion thread - * SPOILERS *

That was a thoroughly enjoyable hour of television. It’s so cool to see this old stuff from a mid-budget mid-70’s sci-fi movie explored and expanded.

I think it walked the tightrope of tying into the familiar without it feeling arbitrary and overly coincidental.

That sound design for the dragon was impressive, expanding on what we got in the original and ‘97SE mixes. Didn’t sound identical to a dewback but kept the core. (I went with the ‘04 DVD version of Kenobi’s kyrat call due to the sound effect implying it’s just a dewback and the ‘11 BR version being about the worst sound effect I’ve ever heard for anything.)

Who was it that made an alternate opening shot for The Force Awakens where the “stars” turn out to be dust from Rey scavenging on the Star Destroyer? I have an edit idea that could really benefit from it, but I can’t find it anywhere.
I seem to remember it being on vimeo and having a really vague title like “fakeout” that made it hard to find by searching.

It happens so fast that I bet you could just cut from the opening crawl to the first motion frame of Rey pulling the thing away.
Dunno if he was the first, but I recall NeverArGreat doing that idea.

Just think of people seeing it opening night in IMAX 3D. Give people heart attacks, it would.
