STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

This, and also looks nothing like the death star hangar. also, why would stormtroopers just be standing in formation like that?

Here is a quick mockup I put together. If Ady wants to do something like this I think it would look a lot better, but it is his edit and choice though!

Hey Ady! Glad to hear you are on the mend!

Have you ever considered restoring the Han versus the Stormtroopers with the original 1977 version?

Part of the comedic charm of the original version is the Stormtroopers realizing “Hey… we out number him! Why are we running?

But then in the 1997 and onward edits, they just bait him into running towards a big room filled with more goons. In my opinion, it loses a bit of the humor that the original had.

Just curious!

(The screengrab does use the recomposited shot from SW:R)

I’m alive! And so is this project!

I’m editing a Christmas project update video- it was supposed to be out on 25th, but due to circumstances (I’m in charge of the family dinner menu), it will be out sometimes before New Year’s eve.

In the meantime, enjoy those stills. And I’ll explain why I was mostly offline as well.

Merry Christmas everyone, and may the Force be with you all!

The Chernobyl mini-series (2019) is a shockingly powerful and deeply disturbing real look at the actual truth of the disaster. Everything about it was both well-crafted and respectful to the real people who were involved. The sound design was stunning, as were the visuals and the sheer haunting awe of it all. A must see for fans of history, biopics, audiovisual terror, and for those select few that have a strong stomach. I highly recommend it, but with a caveat that you only watch it if you are certain that its right for you.

My co-worker’s wife is from Russia and lived there when the disaster happened. She said that out of all the Chernobyl-related things she has watched, the 2019 miniseries is by far the closest to the actual events that happened and the atmosphere of the country and people that lived there at the time.

'Rey Skywalker' (Upcoming live action motion picture) - general discussion thread
Time

I feel this is what I’d like to see. Not really sure where else they could take it either:

 • Rey rebuilds the Jedi, their “home-base” is the islands of Anch-To
 • Luke’s force ghost, (alongside Yoda, Anakin and Obi-Wan) offer knowledge and training to Rey and other students. VERY fan service-y, but it would appease the diehards that think Rey is not “good enough”
 • Finn is a Jedi
 • Poe has settled down from the war, maybe some type of injury, and assists Rey and Finn with their new Jedi Academy. Helping to pass down his military knowledge learned from Leia, Chewie and Lando.
 • There is no-longer a galaxy-spanning government. Each planet has its own government established by its people and maybe there is some form of Union or Treaty adhering to basic human rights, etc.
 • The Jedi are now actually the “guardians of peace” and travel to more dangerous planets to help topple tyrannical governments and gangs and restore freedom to the citizens.
 • The big bads of this movie (or trilogy) would be the crime lords and underworld scum. I really think this is where George was going with bringing Maul back, but to make it different, I think something other than a darksider or Sith would be needed.
 • EDIT: forgot to include… Older Grogu is involved somehow.

Wow that looks good. Can’t wait to see more!

thanks

That color grade looks great so far from what I’ve seen. Really brings it more in line with the rest of the PT. Phantom has always just looked off for some reason…

probably because it was shot on film, while the rest of the prequels where shot on digital so they have much more of a neutral grade, which is what I’m going for here.

Can’t wait to see the finished product. Any other fun VFX plans you’re thinking of?

If they wanted to do something truly original, they wouldn’t have any Sith at all. Or maybe a Sith that we’re not familiar with, and no Jedi.

That’s why I’m most excited for Mangold’s Dawn of the Jedi film, in the case of doing something original. Technically, it won’t have Jedi in the traditional way, but a small group of people discovering the force and how to wield it seems interesting.
