NEW POST TO REPLACE MY OLD ONE

So originally I had posted a Streamable link here with my take on the 9000 fleet, but I was unhappy with it and got some new ideas from axlanian.

I’ve tried to make it sound less like a roudy commentary track, I balanced them out a bit more as well, so that everyone isn’t just talking at the same time and to make it more clear what they’re saying. I moved the direct mentions of Poe to later on, and toned down the "For Skywalker"s. I also made someone’s line, “9000 crew” be the first thing you hear. 😃

This one is the same arrangement as the previous one, but with improved surround sound and radio filters that are now unique to each character, instead of being all the same:

After recieving lots of positive feedback from Hal and others about my “Chewie person” line from 3PO, I decided to tackle this for him.

I have an extensive knowledge of most of Anthony Daniels’ work as 3PO which makes it a lot easier to source lines from other media. (I watch a lot of the parody LEGO cartoons and other Star Wars things with my friend’s kids!)

As for Poppasketti, that clip looks great! Could we possibly see something built more off option A? I loved the flght path of that one and I think it would be better if the jump to hyperspace is as far out of atmosphere as possible.

Here’s a thought!
Could you try to do something about the Lars homestead in the foreground? It sort of throws the scale off as the Falcon flies really close to it overhead and looks too small. I would suggest to shrink it or erase it completely.

Maybe Poppasketti can use a model of Vader’s super star destroyer, since that was undeniably present at the second Death Star. 😏

It’s weird, when I woke up I saw the shuttle and Vader’s TIE shots on his Google drive, but the Vimeo link with all the joke shots was busted so I never got to see any of them. 😦

Just thought I should let Poppasketti know that the shot of Vader’s TIE next to Luke’s X-wing is my new desktop wallpaper. 😉

As for convincing Hal to use it as well, whilst the Empire did construct more of them just not in mass amounts, it can probably be assumed that the actual TIE belonging to Vader WAS present on the Death Star II, as it was never destroyed following Yavin and Vader could have just parked it in a hanger somewhere during one of his frequent visits to the station.

Additionally, Kylo has a lust for Vader artifacts and probably saw it sitting somewhere and said to himself, “How could I not take that baby out for a spin?!”

Finally, the entire point of that shot was to be a cheap nostagia grab to make us smile, (it certainly made my brother smile when he saw it!) Vader’s TIE chasing Luke’s X-wing is arguably one of the most iconic pieces of imagery in the original Star Wars. The shuttle inclusion whilst still looking great, don’t get me wrong, makes the entire shot make little sense in being framed in such a way. Choosing it is choosing a minor nitpick on practicality over an incredible visual spectacle. The Imperial shuttle wasn’t shown until ROTJ and even than, it made little impact visually.

But you know, that’s just my opinion. 😄

In this scene when the heroes storm the control room, the Death Star schematics can clearly be seen on the computer!

To get things back on track, here is a complete list of all the moments in the film when a reference is made to the Final Order having Death Star cannons:

(I think we can imply that the function of those cannons is just, big guns, not blowing up planets!)

1. Hux saying, “Shall we destroy the city?”

2. Palpatine telling Pryde to destroy a world they know. (So dumb!)

3. Scene of Kijimi’s destruction.

4. The aftermath scene with Poe, Rose and Merry.

5. Poe saying, “Every one we knock out is a world saved!”

As you can see, there is not many, so it should be pretty straightforward!
