The video source isn’t great so I’ll definitely redo it when i get my hands on the hd clip.

I’m basically in tears of joy snooker, I love you and the work you do so much! 😄

If I remember correctly though, in this scene, doesn’t the falcon make a crash landing?

Anyway, we will watch your career with great interest. 😉

Great!

Maybe the star destroyer kamikaze from that shot could be reused with a Coruscant matte, if one wanted to keep the ending montage. Then, you would have one PT planet (Coruscant), one OT planet (Bespin), and one ST planet (Jakku).

“You know it’s like poetry, THEY RHYME. Every stanza kind of rhymes with the next one. Hopefully it’ll work.”

Hey guys,
I’ve been sitting back observing the discussions here for a while and it’s been a long time since I’ve contributed but after seeing a suggestion made by Snooker, I thought I should share an idea for this edit:

So I heard an idea being tossed around about making the planet ‘Kef Bir’ or whatever where the DSII wreckage is settled become the Forest Moon of Endor…

We could have the shot from the end celebration be used during the falcon’s arrival…

Here’s a very rough mock-up:

https://pasteboard.co/IYrr5w4.png

What do you guys think about this idea?

It makes little sense anyway for there to be an upsrising against a Star Destroyer on Endor, because who’s flying the ships attacking it?

Gonna replace the word ‘bounty’ with reward.

“It’s a resistance shuttle alright, probably here to stir up some trouble officer, could come with a good reward.”

“It’s them! The resistance agents!”

“Do I get that First Order reward?”

I’m happy for you to PM me the recordings now if this is the choice we’ve made!
You can decide how he should sound, I’m sure you’ll make the right choice.

Two of them, and a droid. The resistance has no business here officer, unless they’re worth a good price.

Option 3
Our casino guests aren’t gonna want these resistance folks here, unless they’re looking to get paid.

Thank you. I’m excited. This is going to be fun. I think the first line is too wordy. I like RL’s idea that he wants the First Order bounty, and they are waiting in jail til they get picked up. Doesn’t the guard mention something like “You’re under arrest for illegal parking”? So, his line will need to be changed too.

Hmmm…
How about:

I am an amateur voice actor, and can do a lot of different voices. I’d love to try this.

Awesome, this is just so awesome guys! I never for the life of me thought this idea would actually start taking shape so fast!
I would love to get a voice actor involved! Something I’ve never tried before but have always wanted!
Before we record lines, we need to agree on the lines.

I was thinking:

“Yes officer, carrying the insignia of the resistance. A possible security threat to our guests and their clients in the first order.”

And later:

“It’s them! The resistance agents!”

MasterSolo, I’ll PM you once we’ve decided!

Another option to consider besides a voice actor: Battlefront has a collection of alien voice lines for that species, so you could redub him with alien dialogue and then add appropriate subtitles.

Maybe he could say something like, “I’m confident that is a Resistance ship! I think I saw them head towards the casino!” And maybe as they’re being carried off, we could hear him say offscreen, “Do I get that First Order bounty?”

I guess implying that the First Order has put a bounty on Resistance members. This might actually help explain why Finn and Rose wouldn’t want to park like normal people, hoping their ship wouldn’t be recognized from the beach.

I like that idea!
Only problem is that the police put them in jail and leave them there, without ever alerting the first order.
I’ll upload a clip soon with alien subtitles!

I do like the idea of Luke’s matrix shot being sped up so that’s another vote from me!

I will never stop being impressed by the quality of ideas and work that is put into these edits.
I am a HUGE fan of this edit as well as Hal’s and am looking forward to seeing Sir Ridley’s take on the film.

You guys have inspired me to make my own and in doing so, I desperately need the level of brilliance on threads like this to be shared: https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Fixing-The-Last-Jedis-COMEDY-OF-ERRORS/id/72568

I’m looking for new ideas and am seeking a talented voice actor!

Are you going to remove the “Oh no” in the opening Resistance evacuation scene? That line adds nothing and is an example of on-the-nose dialogue.

Yes, that among many, many other things has been deleted. But this thread isn’t the place for these questions, as I said in the description, I am currently working on brainstorming a single edit which is to re-dub the alien who alerts the police. This is the change I am up to at the moment. Making the arrest occur for a different reason will improve the peceived outcome of the film.

It won’t be long before I move on to a thread for a complete re-edit discussion, in the meantime, I am hoping that all of you intelligent people can help me with solving this single problem.

Sorry if I rambled! 😉 I just wanted to keep the conversation on track!

 • kylo stops mid strike.
 • leia calls out “Ben”
 • We see her holding Hans’s medal from the trailer.
 • Leia lies down while she holds the medal.
 • leia’s hand drops dead
 • Kylo looks back in shock.
 • Kylo drops his lightsaber, Rey catches it mid air and stabs him with it.
 • Rey feels her death through the force, calls out leia’s name.
 • Rey removes the saber from Kylo’s stomach, cries in disbelief
 • Rey and kylo have a moment of sadness. Cut R2 for better flow.
 • Rey “I did want to take your hand, Ben’s hand”.
 • Rey reaches out to heal kylo’s wound.
 • Healing sequence
 • Kylo gives her a look of compassion and gratitude.
 • Rey runs off to the Tie-fighter.

If you’re full of creative ideas OR a talented voice actor… This is the place to be!

A recurring theme in Disney’s Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi is failure.
Yoda’s force ghost directly gives Luke this message in the film.

The resistance, despite only just managing to pull through at the very end, ultimatly fails in keeping evryone alive and safe. Ending the film with only a handful of them left.

The sequence of events in this film has been described by the great Mr Harry Plinkett as: ‘a comedy of errors’ a form of narrative stemming from the early Shakespeare play: The Comedy of Errors.

This type of structure is when a single mistake made by a charcter creates a tumbling snowball effect. Meaning that it is followed by a series of endless new disasters and tragedies each with worse and worse implictaions.

The ultimate failure of the resistance and the countless losses of life on their behalf can be traced back to a single, poor decision made: Finn and Rose getting a parking ticket.

That’s right folks! In this installment of the Skywalker Saga the heroes lose and everyone dies because someone parked their spaceship in the wrong spot!

This bizarrely written and strangly executed turn of events can be re-shaped however. It is my intention that in my personal fanedit of TLJ (for which I will create a seperate topic) I will attempt to alter this single action in a way that makes the turn of events seem somewhat less ridiculous and more like a Star Wars movie.

This can be achieved by redubbing the alien that gets Finn and Rose arrested.
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Slowen_Lo

I was hoping to have someone re-record his lines so that it seems as if they get arrested for a more serious and less stupid reason than a parking ticket.

I now turn to you guys and encourage any suggestions!

The question I ask is:
What should the alien tell the police Finn and Rose have done wrong that gets them arrested?

Also a suggestion: Maybe add Palpatine’s laugh somewhere in Rey’s force vision in Episode VII. It might be too on the nose but it could be cool if you heard it when we see Rey’s parents leaving her on Jakku.

I was thinking of something similar for my TFA edit, it’s also a little too on the nose but it could work if done right.

I thought that I could add Palpatine’s line:
“Once more the Sith will rule the galaxy!” from RotS into Rey’s vision.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3sxDlDxzac

Since at that point in the timeline Palpatine was preparing his return and the Sith ruling the galaxy once again.

Just a thought.

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **

Interesting you should ask that.
First of all Temuera Morrison, who plays the clones in the prequels, is not Australian. He is New Zealand born and plays them with a New Zealander accent.
On the other hand, Dee Bradley Baker, who plays the clones in the clone wars, is American but plays the clones with a fake impression of a somewhat incorrect Australian accent. This is probably what confuses many people but it never bothered me too much since I love the clone wars and the clones in it!
Although I probably would’ve liked a little more consistency between the two. I also don’t really like the idea of an American impersonating Aussies so bizarrely.

Matt.F:

“If you watch ESB and ROTJ back-to-back its actually quite jarring to hear the US accent from an Imperial officer right at the start of the film - in ESB the British accent was the voice of the Empire’s officer class and it gave the Empire a certain haughty aristocracy that worked very well.”

As an Australian, I barely notice the contrast between the American and British accents, they just all sound equally foreign to me compared to the Aussie accents I hear everyday so I have personally never considered this a continuity error! 😊

Yes, he’s planning an all-new design, not the Zeta from Rogue or the Sentinal from ANHSE. My vote would be for the Sentinal as it already has a cockpit that could more easily match the on-set Lambda one.

Actually, now that you mention it, I would be very happy with a Zeta or a Sentinal, I don’t think I have a preference!

Hey Adywan, I’m new to the website but have been a huge fan of Star Wars Revisited for a while now.
I was just wondering if your new shuttle design to replace the Tydirium (which is a great idea!) will be your own unique design or one directly taken from some other kind of Star Wars content?
