I believe in regards to that replacement voiceover, they were so unbelievably lazy that they got Mark Hamill to record the line, then deepened it slightly. Much like the reuse of the Emperor’s scream when Luke is falling. Seems more like both create massively confusing and convoluted continuity errors rather than improvements.

Octorox, mrbenjamino has volunteered to attempt an impression of Kylo Ren saying these lines. He says he can make it sound fairly convincing so I trust him in that sense.

Before he records them however, I would like to know if you think any improvements can be made to the above dialogue before he records them.

Are we sure there aren’t any better lines we can give the trooper? Don’t get me wrong, they’re funny, but perhaps that isn’t the direction we should be going in.

Thinking ahead, how might we do a group commentary track? Through Zoom? We could stream the movie through there and each maintain our own recordings of our own voices, to be edited together later.

We could either make it a real party or just have 3-5 commentators. As long as sync isn’t an issue a party would be okay, but I would be a little concerned about sync.

You can record group chats very nicely on Discord. It seems that whenever I try to chat live with Americans on Zoom, connection and audio quality is a real issue. It’s stylistically fucked.

That’s something that has been particularly problematic to me, you NEED that scene when the falcon is on fire since it’s the first time Finn, Rey and Poe have been depicted together and it establishes their relationships with each other for the rest of the film… But I can’t stand a single second of that stupid argument scene! That dialogue! Oh my god!

That’s basically seamless! Well done!

The only issue is that the acting and music makes it seem like this is some kind of big reveal, yet the added lines seem like pretty generic information…

Maybe an impression really is the best way to go? I don’t know.

We shouldn’t do Naboo instead of Corellia just in case Snooker ever finishes making Ajan Kloss into Naboo.

Also Corellia is cool, better than a video game graphics Gunganville…

It would be nice to have a planet from each grouping of films, who cares if not enough people have seen Solo, it’s not like it would ruin the entire film, it would just look like another city planet. It’s the best thing to add as both a Solo and an EU reference.

At least get whoever makes Naboo to create an alternative for Corellia.
