Family Guy = the shit. I happily signed the petition when it went off the air, and have since been happy that the DVDs, Cartoon Network syndication, and re-release with new episodes came about.

Giggety giggety goo.

Huh?

They cancelled Family Guy a couple years back and all was wrong with the world. A bunch of fans showed their loyalty by signing petitions and basically bitching over the internet. As a result, reruns were syndicated on Cartoon Network and DVDs were released for the first few seasons. After a slew of DVD sales and huge ratings on Cartoon Network, Fox signed them back on to create more episodes and all was right with the world again.

Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side (the TM edit) (Released)

Wow someone who's arguing, but doing so in a constructive manner. Good post.

Basically, people who love Star Wars have their own individual vision about it. A perfect example would be all of the Extended Universe books that have been made over the years.

That being said, a lot of people don't like the remakes of the OT, or the prequels. And some of these people that feel this way have made re-edits for the first two prequels to sort of put in the image the way they thought it should have been. I think it's a pretty cool of people who do that myself, because the endeavor they go through doesn't earn them anything other than a 'thanks' since they cannot recieve money for their troubles.

As far as your comparison, it all comes down to choice. If someone likes one of the re-edits that Magnolia Fan has done (which I do ), or the one Trooperman is working on, they can ask for it and have that choice. But if they like the unedited prequel the way it came out in theatres, they can go to a store and buy it. However the same can't be said about the Original Trilogy. There are only the 97 Special Editions and the 2004 DVD Editions, not the originals. Were the originals avaiable to the public readily, I doubt this board would be half as populated as it is now.

your prequels suck George...

Same for me, but I'm 24.

The best parts of the first 2 prequels = the general underlying story leading into the OT. But what made it onto the screen was hokey, dull, or badly acted.

Minus the sabre duels, that is. I don't care what anyone says, the sabre duels in the first 2 prequels were nice. And I still have my hopes up for Ep. III. I did for the first two prequels, and even after the disappointment of those, I'll still have my hopes set high for this one.

And that's a pretty shitty thing for GL to say. But it further proves how much he studies demographics.

Hell yeah. Charge 20 bucks for individual ones, and slap a sticker on the packaging that says "Betcha can't collect all 10,000!". That's some lucas....er I mean lucrative marketing right there.

Also do the same for the droid army. And have all of them say "Roger, roger".

I feel the same regarding the Emperor scene. I think that's ok being there.

I do have a problem with Hayden at the end of ROTJ though. It made it even worse that he didn't even know they were filming him when they inserted him in there. It's a weak attempt to tie in both trilogies at the end of the movie.

I think the Dark Side won a long time ago as far as GL is concerned.

There is still good in him. I can feel it.

Oh wait, that's the chili I ate earlier. Nevermind.
