What are your best or favourite scenes/sequences in any Star Wars TV or streaming series? And why…

Whether an animated or live action series - from 2003 Clone Wars to Visions, or from The Mandalorian to Andor - or any other tv/streaming offerings set in the Galaxy Far Far Away.

You don’t have to pick just the one scene or sequence - if you have more that stood out to you… then post them up! 👍

For balance, there is also this thread:-

Andor, S01xE12: ‘Rix Road’

Or Andor. All of it.

Okay, I’ll narrow it down and pick a scene (of many)… Maarva’s speech sequence - the acting, pacing, tension, delivery, editing, the sheer weight of it (after so many story strands culminating here for the season finale)… For me, it is one of the most epic scenes in all of Star Wars.

The whole Maarva speech sequence: a 4 minute video at the official Star Wars youtube channel.

I’ve got 2 off the top of my head

The Acolyte
Episode 5 Night. This is an absolutely fantastic episode, in a mostly disappointing series. The action is fantastically directed, and the episode is incredibly well-paced and tense. Jecki’s death and the Qimir reveal, up to Yorde’s death is the standout in a fantastic episode.

Star Wars Rebel.
Season 4 Episode 10 Jedi Night. Kanan’s sacrifice and death was one of the highlights of a great series. Kanan was a great character and seeing his arc come to a conclusion and sacrifice himself was very poignant…

Visions: Season 2, Episode 1: Sith

Everything about the episode - from start to finish - all 14 minutes… captivating, mesmerising and fully engaging. I’m so glad I watch just 1 episode per day of Season 2 of Visions - giving some time to take in each episode - rather than binge them and then have certain episodes ‘get lost’ in the fog.

I was keenly anticipating this - Visions S1xE1 had a fantastic start with ‘The Duel’ - so I knew the first episode of Season 2 would likely be right up there… and this did not disappoint. The cinematography, direction, pacing, the story… all hitting the very highest notes for me. I think I’ve watched episode this 10-15 times now - and am completely absorbed by it each and every time.

Star Wars Visions - SITH - Behind the Scenes - a 4 minute youtube video from the official El Guiri Studios channel.

Season 3 of Visions starts on Wednesday 29th October, 2025. Hopefully the opener will be up there with this and The Duel. 👍

For me its Visions Ronin. The entire episode from start to finish. Its feels like if Kurosawa made Star Wars.

The idea a Sith can be a good guy or at least morally grey is very outside the box from the idea of George Lucas good guys and bad guys, and good guys use blue and green, bad guys use red.

The idea of good Sith and Evil Jedi is only hinted in EU in things like the OLD Republic MMO.

The only other example I can think of is the Kotor comic where the masters commit murder and frame a padawan. Zayne Carrick.

Ronin is cool but I don’t think he’s supposed to be a good guy, and the idea of Good Sith is lame. It’s very much in the box for people who believe in gray jedi, balance in the force means equal light side and dark side, etc. which is a large part of the fans.

The Acolyte is another prominent example recently.

tough to pick just one but the final rescue of kleya in Andor S2 was very well constructed; so much anticipation and uncertainty in those hallways. also the prison break in S1… andor is by far the best star wars show

Those are are a couple of great calls, mate. Full agree on those hallway scenes - so much tension and a state of precariousness.

Seems like Andor and Visions is doing well in the ‘Best/Favourite Scenes’ so far…

I’d also add the introduction of General Grievous in the 2003 Clone Wars series (by Genndy Tartakovsky):-

General Grievous: The Perfect Evil Introduction (2003 Clone Wars)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=177oMdZkU9A - an 8 minute video from the Scendence youtube channel.

For me… it was a masterclass of a presentation for the latest ‘big villain’ of the dark side ranks in the GFFA. And with it Grievous had instantly become one of the most intriguing and engaging antagonists in the whole of Star Wars. Leaving us fans wanting to know so much more - and anticipation of what would happen next. And then ROTS happened…

Still, in the 2003 Clone Wars… he was fantastic; a truly menacing and compelling character.

Any time Stellan Skaarsgard talks in ANDOR. And I really mean it.

Lotta great picks already, cannot really go wrong with any of 'em.

I’m putting up The Massacre on Khofar from The Acolyte. It is arguably the best fight choreography in all of Star Wars, AND makes amazing use of the sabers as light source. Qimir literally floats in like a demon and goes (deliciously) ham.

In recent memory it’s really hard to beat “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker. I did.” Obi-Wan had its problems, but any scene with Darth Vader and Obi-Wan was perfect. I’d kill for more of those scenes

I just came here to say basically the exact same thing! I’ve watched that scene alone dozens and dozens of times. Everything about it was perfect IMO.

You guys DO know that whole scene and that specific dialogue was completely ripped and reenacted from the Ahsoka/Vader fight in Rebels right? It was eye rolling to see it happen word for word AGAIN in Kenobi and they’re both “cannon”. Just 100% unoriginal or creative.

Everyone has mentioned my favorites so far, so I will add some of the “lesser known” ones.

Almost no one has mentioned The Mandalorian yet so here are a few I enjoy:

Mandalorian Season 1, Episode 3, “Chapter 3: The Sin” - Mando Realizes His Mistake & The Escape

The Rescue of the Child. Not only do we get to see Mando in all of his shiny, beskar laden glory, we get to see all of his tools and skills in action. It’s a great scene of emotional development for a character that we assumed was a hardened bounty hunter with very little underneath. This gives us a peak under the facade and shows us that Din has a heart.

And of course, the following scenes of the Bounty Hunters getting their call to action to intercept Mando is a great little montage, but it’s the next scene that really shines. When all hope is lost: Mando is surrounded and under fire, trying to think of a way out from this mess he made, to make it to his ship and escape with the kid. When suddenly, fire reigns from the skies as the Mandalorians descend on the city. Seeing this in live action was incredible. I honestly got chills just writing this up. But to see that the Mandalorian bond is so strong that they are willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of another in their clan - even a foundling - is so emotionally resonant. I love it. Especially the cute little scene of Pav Vizsla saluting as Mando escapes Nevarro. “I’ve got to get me one of those.”

Mandalorian Season 2, Episode 7, “Chapter 15: The Believer” - The Mess Hall

Din Djarin and Mayfield (Bill Burr) infiltrating the Imperial Base, Din having to remove his helmet, Mayfield verbally sparing with the Imperial Officer and eventually turning into actual sparring, Boba’s rescue. It’s all fantastic stuff. Genuinely tense scenes with some fantastic pay off.

Mandalorian Season 2, Episode 8 “Chapter 16: The Rescue” - The Rescue

This was an amazing episode already, but they top it off with the defining moment of the series - the return of Luke Skywalker. Say what you want about season 2 being a cameo fest, or how the deepfake on Luke wasn’t 100% there, or how this scene felt meaningless after it’s quick undoing in The Book of Boba Fett, but the first time we all experienced this, I think we can all agree that it was magical. I personally like the sequels (TFA and TLJ, anyways) and their interpretation of Luke, but to see the master Jedi in all of his glory was fantastic. And then of course, there is the deeply emotional moment of Din having to say goodbye to the child as he gives him up for a chance at a better life - I’ll admit it, I cried. I cried over a guy handing off a puppet to another guy wearing a CGI mask. Great scene even if they did walk back the emotional importance of the scene later.

And since no one has mentioned anything from the show yet, I’ll give one to The Book of Boba Fett.

Book of Boba Fett - Episodes 1 & 2 - Boba Joining the Tribe

One of my favorite aspects of the classic 2003 video game, Knights of the Old Republic, was the way they fleshed out the sand people and the history of Tatooine. To see similar details adapted into the show was a nice touch. Showing the sand people as more than just monsters who kidnap, pillage, and kill, but a group of nomads with culture and honor was a great addition. Showing Boba’s journey to acceptance amongst the sand people was a great little addition to his story, but showing his deeper emotional journey within his ceremony helped flesh out why they chose the story they did for his character. And while I don’t agree with that story choice necessarily, I understand it and this scene helped me make (some) peace with it. I think that the Haka might have been going a little too far, but I get why it is there and I don’t hate it.

I could come up with countless more for Andor, but we would basically be here all day, so I’ll do one more for another show I haven’t seen listed.

Honorable Mention: Ahsoka - Season 1, Episode 5, “Part Five: Shadow Warrior” - The World Between Worlds

I don’t necessarily like the prequels or the Clone Wars but I still have some emotional attachment to them because they are Star Wars and I love Star Wars, warts and all. To see Hayden Christensen again was a nice little treat, especially in his Clone Wars armor. The casting for young Ahsoka was great, seeing the Clones in physical armor was great, seeing the flashes of Vader was great, seeing Anakin wielding a lightsaber and twirling it around like he hasn’t missed a beat in over ten years was great. It is an immense amount of fun. Yes, it’s basically just fan service, but I am a fan and I was serviced.

I’ll admit, I am a bit more forgiving when it comes to the new era of Star Wars, but I enjoy more about the franchise under Disney than I hate. I could add a couple of more things, but these are the ones that I feel are worth mentioning.

It’s in the last episode of Kenobi during the final duel between Vader and Obi-Wan. Part VI, around 26 minutes into the episode.

Thank you. I’ve watched it now. Pretty good scene.

I still tear up when Mando gives Groku to Luke… (I ignore season 3 completely)

The prison break out scene in Andor gives me chills…(excellent musical cues)

Anakin training Ahsoka to be a child soldier was better than anything in the entire Clown Wars show and the best depiction of Anakin on screen…. (Too bad season 1 was a force awakens rip off and was mediocre as far as storyline)

Probably Han chasing the stormtroopers down the Death Star hallway. Hilarious. There’s actually quite a number of funny moments on the Death Star. One of the most quoted lines: “We’re all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?”

There are so many from Andor, but I will go with the opening scene in the Mandalorian: https://youtu.be/9HgRXwMozEY
Everything about it looked and felt just right, and that we were right back in that old Star Wars universe.

If I am being honest I did not know that. I never watched Rebels. Which season / episode in Rebels was that?

Found it on you tube. Can’t believe I slept on this for many years, but I’ve always had a harder time getting into the cartoon series.

Clearly they are very similar scenes. I feel the Kenobi one is better done and more powerful, but maybe because (for me) that’s the “original”.

In any case, thanks for this heads up!!! I learned something tonght!
