Played Star Wars Outlaws for a little more than half an hour on Sunday, enough to finish the prologue. Not much to say, so far the story hasn’t grabbed me that much but the gameplay seems okay, seems like lots of 3rd person stealth and some gunplay. The prologue takes place on Canto Bight which at least felt a little more “Star Warsy” and less like Monte Carlo with aliens and Oliver Twist orphans running around than it did in Last Jedi.

Also using a mod to make the main character a twi’lek which I think helps, even if it cuts back to the standard look during cutscenes. The artists really did the main actress dirty on this one.

Check out the 4️⃣ • Video Games & Gaming category of the An Index + ‘Info & Help’ Thread… for The Expanded Universe for a few of those ‘older’ DOS classics (and history of that era).

It doesn’t seem there is much on the horizon for Lucasfilm Games - despite the 2021 ‘comeback’ and ‘new and unprecedented phase of creativity’. Such a pity - and a lost opportunity.

So it looks like there’ll be new Force abilities, enhanced jetpacks, players able to talk with NPCs - akin to RPGs such as Skyrim. There’ll also be support for first-person shooting - allowing creators to craft ‘Call of Duty’ style games set in the GFFA. And more…

SW Galactic Racer: the screenshots look good and made me optimistic; the video much less so!

Fate of the Republic: not getting my hopes up. SW KOTOR was better than any of the prequel movies that came out in that era, but I’m not optimistic that this game will be much better than the sequel trilogy.

What is the Status of Fate of the Old Republic. It’s starting to feel Star Citizen and Squadron 42 without the billion dollar crowdfund.

Fate of the Republic: not getting my hopes up. SW KOTOR was better than any of the prequel movies that came out in that era, but I’m not optimistic that this game will be much better than the sequel trilogy.

I haven’t heard much on this at all of late - though have to admit I haven’t really been paying attention on it; not since the director and writer were announced back in June… for some reason I just have the feeling of it becoming vapourware / fizzling out into more development hell (though I obviously hope to be wrong on that).
