It varies for me depending on mood and nostalgia…

Today… it is the GOUT for me - for the main reason if it being the one physical release I can still actually play (I’ve no working VHS machine anymore!) Plus, the GOUT will be played later tonight - it is ‘Star Wars Day’ after all. 👍

And I do miss the physicality of media… even if it is a only DVD or CD (I know; it is somewhat lacking in comparison to VHS tapes and laserdiscs - or tapes and vinyl… though sometimes you have to settle for the smaller wins, too.)

Plus for all the stick it gets - it does represent the fans’ victory in achieving an official release of the OOT (of sorts - despite George’s disingenuous claims, laziness, and it being his choice to release it in a substandard obsolete format riddled with QC issues back then in 2006…).

What about yourself, darklordoftech?

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

The 1990 Pan and Scan or it may have been a 1992 reissue. That is VHS.

If i was to pick a laserdisc its the Special Widescreen Edition for Empire Strikes Back.

And Definitive Collection for the whole trilogy.

For DVD its easily Return of the Jedi PAL Gout. The other two transfers look horrible. In Pal or NTSC. I prefer the PAL THX laserdiscs for those.

The pre-special edition VHS tapes I grew up on, looks like it was the 1995 box set
