Why is Pirate Ron Jeremy carrying a chainsaw?

First- It's Captain Hook.

Second- He's not carrying a chainsaw.  It's replaced his hook which had replaced his hand.

And thirdly- RE:005 and the hidden fifth child...  No, you're seeing the leather from my holster and the curly hair of a cartoon kid on the backdrop.  Nice effect though.

Console is too easy.

I know.  I kinda hate how I can just put a disc in my console and play a game without spending hours on hours reconfiguring it and getting all new drivers for each of my components.  I only have so many hours to play each week- it's kind of boring that I'm not spending any of those hours fighting my computer.  I mean, I like that consoles make it easy... but they're just too easy.  You know what I mean?

@Xhonzi, you better be playing/planning on playing Fallout 3.

Chillax, holmes...  I'm saving it for my "bachelor weekend" like we already discussed.

You know, I can send you my address and you can send me your BioShock Collector's stuff you don't want any more.  :)

Wow, this thread is about a million times better since I ignored all of the non BioShock fans.

RE: Wolfenstein again.  Maybe I got this out the first time around, but here's another try: This should be the perfect game.  Super spy infiltrating Nazi castles and zeppelins and whatnot and using a supernatural amulet in the process?  FRINK YEAH!  But why wasn't it fun?  Somehow the whole was less than the sum of its parts.

Seconded to what SilverWook said. I heard bad things about the BTTF trilogy box, have they fixed it? I really want the big Alien Quadrilogy Blu-ray set, but from what I have seen it comes in a weird cardboard book like case. Anybody have it? Is it as bad as I am making it out to be?

The BTTF is already been fixed, the new packaging had already been out, I plan on buying this soon, and the Alien Set is not that bad LOL, it is like a book, but they slide in and out freely, plus it would be very hard to damage or scratch a Blu-ray disc surface, with that hard coat and all, I like the Alien Set myself, but I did read that the BTTF box was terrible.

I have what I believe to be the old BTTF packaging.  It's an odd/new way of storing the discs, which isn't exactly bad... but it's not something that I knew how to handle right away.  I've never actually broken a disc getting it in or out of any packaging, but I'm sure the stress of flexing discs isn't good for any of them.  Once I figured you had to slide the disc against some springy tabs first, then the disc would come out, it's not been a big deal.  But if some overentusiastic friend (neighbour, wife, kid, etc.) borrowed the set, I wouldn't be shocked if they broke a disc or the package just trying to get them out.

Dear C3PX and Ringo (since everyone else is still on ignore),

I just finished a 10 hour run through Wolfenstein (the recent one).  Relatively 'meh' though I'm not sure why.  It's very much like COD1-3 in the sense that you're shooting Nazis and have some freedom loving soldiers joining you in the fight, you use iron sights, etc...  But then there are all of the supernatural elements.  Which are pretty cool.

But for some reason, this doesn't gel into a must-have-experience for me.  I like all of the elements.  And it's decently fun to play.  But never completely compelling.

And now a word about the achievements- a full 50% are online only and I won't be pursuing those.  I never really heard about the MP for this game, so I can only assume it was neither hotly anticipated or better than everyone's low expectations.

The SP achievements are about half "you'll get them as long as you play the game" and half "you'd be insane to get all of these."  There were two that I didn't have after finishing the game that I thought were worth a few minutes to go back and get.

Perhaps that was part of my disinterest in the game.  I hope not, because that would make me quite the shallow gamer...  But I'm investigating the posibility.  Perhaps had I been more regularly rewarded (finding 100 pieces of Nazi gold (which I did) as well as finding all of them (which I didn't)).  I ended up with ~300 points off of it, ~100 of it all came together at the very end of the game.  It only took me 10 hours, so it's a better pph than, say, the 120+ hours I sunk into Oblivion for 1250 points.

~~~
In related news, I'm playing/enjoying my son's allowance purchased copy of Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions.  This probably ranks just below Web of Shadows for me, which ranked just below my memory of Spider-Man 2...  The additional of the Noir and 2099 playstyles are pretty fresh.  I'm a little disappointed in the "Ultimate" universe since it's so similar to "Amazing."  And Assassin's Creed "1602" set of levels would have been awesome.  But probably more expensive since it would have been a 3rd true departure in formula and playstyle like the 2099 and Noir levels.  I also like that each level is based on the world of one of the villains/bosses.  It really works for a Spider-Man game since playing a 20 hour game to defeat one supervillain seems like a wasted opportunity.
And the level based challenges are good for game-overachievers like myself, but so far have put few requirements on my underachieving/uninterested son.
And the Deadpool level is pretty funny.  Not the funniest rendition of Deadpool that I've seen/read.  But not bad.
Obama is now a Republican
We could do the same exact kind of exercise to show Clinton was a Republican or Bush was a Democrat (yes, really). Most of your examples may just as well point to ineffective leadership - not ideology. And some stuff, like pretending Romney's health care plan is a Republican idea, is just specious. It's like saying Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell and DOMA are Democratic ideas since Clinton signed them.
Certainly Obama has not lived up to the hype and undefined and abstract hopes of his admirers. Also, Bush was not that partisan, but he did pursue unpopular policies. As evidence consider his attempt at immigration reform and his signing of Ted Kennedy's No Child Left Behind.
 Well put, Mrebo.  A better response than the one I was too lazy to post myself.
I got into Google+. It's a stripped down Facebook, I'd like it a lot if I had more friends on there. I wish the Invite function would turn back on. It's hard to beta test a social network without a network of socialness.
Break it down for me, oh-oh.  In what ways does it differ from the facebooks?
I only joined facebook once I had the sense that it might be the last network I'd have to join.  After joining flixster, shelfari, and others.
