Star Wars extended Cut
Time

google translation:
Hello

I am an avid fan and have been to many star wars trilogy faneditions to the old saw.

the best there is, I think of davdar adywan jambe and that has the original trilogy give what george missed or messed up.

adywan who made the effort "a new hope: revisited" to solve visual and logical errors.

further details can be found here:

Jambe Davdar has re-built many scenes from behind the scenes clips and deleted scenes from the original trilogy

very informative throughout.

The videos can be viewed here:

http://vimeo.com/user5888890/videos

I am impressed by their work and wanted to even try such a thing.

I thought to myself that you could fit all the deleted scenes in the film and make an extended version

I've had enough visual material, not only for the bluray ...

but as I have absolutely no idea of ??the editing of a film, I hope to find someone here who can help me here to finish this project.

It must: color corrections

visual errors (distracting elements)

blue screen

convert into ntsc/pal

sound processing (special effects agree, sounds, etc. ..)

Insert caption

and what I remember ....

be made.

I've been since last year and did so employing countless doco's and making of's about Star Wars, in search of visual material viewed.

to put it to bring to the point, I'm up now for:

ep IV approximately 18 min

V ep about 15 min

ep VI about 22 min

visual material.

these scenes are but raw, cut right or not (set up in quality) to participate twice.

if everything is handled the films could be 12 to 18 minutes longer than the special editions are.

There are also from the original trilogy (not special edition) or scenes that appear in the special edition or not shortened.

who wants to know what they are, who should by wookie groomer anh esb, rotj splitscreen besorgen.da both versions run simultaneously.

So, would anyone have unknowing (and I know there are people here with foreboding ... :-)) and would like to support me in this project, I would be very grateful.

may be that makes us.

BBy has been kind of clamboring to stay competitive recently. I used to do a lot of DVD shopping there, but stopped 6 or 7 years back. Then 5 years passed and I'm not sure if I set foot in a BBy during that time. But recently, they keep having "wallet draining" sales that make me roll my eyes, walk in, and surrender my cash for things I don't really need, but can't ignore at the price!

I bought Arkham City there for $10 a couple months ago... when it was $45 at Amazon. And it doesn't hurt that they have decent sales on 3DBD.

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread
Time

I was buying some plastic kids' cups at Target the other day. The Avengers ones were on the end-cap and I followed them into the aisle. They had lots of girl ones (barbie and whogivesacrapaboutgirlstuff ones) and I snagged a bunch of boy ones. Transformers, Captain America, aforementioned Avengers... and they had 6 or 7 Star Wars ones. The first one I saw had R2 and 3PO in sharp, full-colour detail on the front, and low contrast, blue-scale Han and Leia on one side and B-Wings blowing-stuff-up on the other. I thought it was an odd layout, but in the cart it went! Then I saw RotJ Luke cutting a mean figure in his robe with his green sabre cracklin' and that instantly went in the cart.

I got a Lego Vader + Troopers cup, and a "many poses of Vader" cup. There was a Maul cup, a Quigon cup, and PT/OT Yoda cup which I did not get. There was kind of a cool one that had both Clone and Stormtroopers, but I left it on the shelf.

ALL OF THE SUDDEN!

I noticed PT Obi-Wan and PT Anakin on a cup, and then recognized it as the other side of the RotJ Luke cup I already had in the cart. It was such an instant buy, that I didn't even check to see what shenanigans were occuring on the other side of the cup!

So... for those of you keeping score:
1/7 cups had Luke on it*
1/7 cups was purely OT*
1/7 cups had Vader and no direct PT references (though I know some of it RotS stuff)*
1/7 cups had only OT Lego stuff on it.
2/7 cups were PT only
2/7 cups were mix of PT/OT

And people keep telling me I can just ingore the PT if I don't like it. *eyeroll*

Who's up for just starting a freaking Kickstarter campaign to fund the super "expensive" OT restoration? People and news agencies talk about internet funding all the time now, and since ol' George doesn't want to pay for the restorations we could offer the money ourselves-do it ourselves and George wouldn't ever have to worry about it.

I didn't hear Doom3 was getting a re-release.

I bought that for Xbox (I think it plays on 360 as well) and put a couple of hours into it. I played all of the old Dooms, but probably mostly because they were the only game in town at time. Doom3 seemed like it wasn't doing anything for me at the time. One of my first 360 titles was Quake4, and I was really looking forward to it. I got half way throgh and then sold it.

RE: No checkpoints
Is that a Co-op thing, or just a Legendary thing?

Tex is getting close. Just cleared $350k and has about $95k left to go over the next 11 days. Hopefully it enjoys the big upswell at the end like a lot of other KS projects.

And, in other news, E3 starts today. Please post any shocking news here:

I'm not sure what the relationship between this, the "tablet" controller, and what I'm assuming will be an updated motion contoller remote.

Star Wars Mythos: Mid-Eighties to Mid-Nineties
Time

Fair enough.

Consider this: Your episode 1 can still have a rich backstory without it having come from previous episodes.

As is, I'd have to say that your trilogy isn't coming across as a single narrative. Think of your trilogy as three super acts in a single story. In the original trilogy, the super acts are about Luke, Vader, and the Rebellion overthrowing the Empire. New characters come and old characters go, but the central narrative is the same.

Maybe I'm still not getting you... but your trilogy seems to be "a series of events that all take place prior to ANH" more than a specific narrative.
