Back to the Future, Part II (1989)

To call this a haphazard mess would be an understatement. The time travel rules make even less sense this time around, almost every character who shows his/her face is obnoxious, and the whole idea of going back to the events in the first film was a stupid, stagnant idea. If it wasn't for Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, I'd hate this movie.

Could not disagree more.

BioShock!!! (1, 2 and Infinite and SPOILERS)
Time

I really liked 2.  Exploring Columbia for the first time is similar to exploring Rapture for the first time (though I preferred Rapture) which is something 2 can't/doesn't do.  Don't expect that a return to Rapture will be the same as exploring it again for the first time, and I think you would enjoy 2 just fine.  It is all new parts of Rapture, however, and it's 10 years later, so there are differences.  2 Definitely has highlights as well, that outshine portions of the Irrational games.

If it's a choice betwixt playing 1 again and playing 2, I would recommend playing 2.

In fact, (and I realize I might get run out of town on a sky-rail for saying this) I think the combat/gameplay was best in 2.

So there.

God doesn't want people to abstain from sex.  Just the kind of sex that screws up (pun probably not intended) their lives or the lives of any children that might enter into the fray.

Serious question now...if this is the case (and it does make sense to me, btw), what do so many religions have against birth control?

I know our differing opinions on abortion, so I'll keep that in mind with the following comments...

Religions who are against abortion are often against birth control means that are 'abortive'.  Not all birth control is.  I for one, and most of the Christians I know, have no problem with non-abortive birth control.

Other religions believe that intercourse is only meant for procreation.  Therefore birth control is unneeded.

I am led to believe that other people/religions think it's cheating to do it and not have the chance of getting pregnant.  It's possible these people see sex as something dirty or evil... and that it balances the scales if you don't enjoy it too much or too frequently as the use of birth control would allow.

Historically, birth control was only used by loose women.  Sort of similar to pierced ears or pants.  I think that the older generation might still see it that way (my mom never had her ears pierced, though she let my sisters get theirs pierced, and she has been known to wear pants).

That's all I got.

One night, I met this really fun and attractive blond, we hit it off and talked for hours. Eventually we went back to her place, stayed up half the night watching movies, started making out, and things escalated. I woke up beside her the next morning, the sun shining golden on her curly hair and reflecting off the smooth skin of her naked body. I felt overwhelmed with warmth, excitement, happiness, anticipation. As it should be. No guilt. I'd always felt guilt in the past, even when things didn't go anywhere near as far as they had gone the night before. That day I was able to admit to myself that I was agnostic.

Is anyone really developing for the Rift outside of John Carmack? - Cool if so but I haven't really heard much of anything.

Not only TF2 as 005 said, but there are lots of indie games in development for it right now.

From the rumors I've heard, there could be some surprises at GDC next week.  Oculus has been saying that they have some big-ish announcements.

Is anyone else here frozen with ridiculous anticipation for the Oculus Rift.  I didn't order one, but should be able to see one a week or so after they start shipping.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to order one then.

Which... brings me back to Bioshock.  If I already had a next gen console, it would be harder not to drop $60 on it.  But I don't, and I don't have a gaming PC that would do it justice.  But if

1. I get a Rfit

2. Inifinite supports Rift

3. I get a beefy PC to match my Rift...

Then I'll get Infinite for PC.  Splinter Cell 5 be darned.

shut up and give them your money!

Which them*?  Irrational or Oculus?  I just noticed the other day... I guess I am a Rift Kickstarter backer... so they have some of my money...

I wonder if I pre-order a Rift now that they will credit me back the $1 I kickstarted them?
