Sexism in Action Movies?
Time

No, because we want our actresses and actors to be attractive people. Any guy who's played an action hero has more than his share of swooning fans.

Besides, there's just no cap on attractive. I don't find Kirsten Dunst attractive. But if she was portrayed as an action hero and her sexuality was as downplayed as much as possible, I believe there would still loads of dudes going ZOMG HOTTT!!!11!

But yeah, the instant half-shirt in AOTC was hard to believe.

Classic LOL Moments in OT.com History

Maybe he has a leap year birthday and he turns fifteen in 2012.

If anyone could find the adywan thread meltdowns, that'd be awesome. The search engine, imperfect though it is, can help you find the meltdown by plugging in any phrase you might be able to remember from that thread. I've found a couple of fun old threads that way.

Actually ferris, this happened to me years ago in a nightclub. I went there with two friends, one of whom was the DD - me and the other friend were already pretty soused when we got there. Not long after we arrived, the other friend decided to make a complete circuit around the inside of the club, causing a minor commotion as he went along. So naturally we were escorted outside. When the officer had me follow the light, he stopped and reminded me to follow with my eyes. I replied, "But it's hard!" My luck being incredibly good that night, our sober friend knew that cop and convinced him not to do anything to us. We had to leave the club, of course.

Lesson learned. I haven't been drunk in about four years. I can't even remember the last time I had a drink.

The Prequel Radical Redux Ideas Thread
Time

Suppose the OT and PT were mixed together and presented in one hour episodes? As I have watched a lot of LOST recently, the storytelling device (for those unfamiliar) used on that show is to present current events and flashbacks in an alternating sequence. What if each one hour episode was set primarily in the OT with certain plot points triggering the relevant flashback from the PT?

The Greatest Song Ever - Phase One ***FREE PUPPIES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS, SEVERE BEATINGS TO NON-PARTICIPANTS!!***
Time

bkev's first post in the thread gave me pause - acts like the Grateful Dead didn't chart well in the singles chart for the most part but they were nevertheless a very popular band. In that vein, in bkev's second post Aerosmith's "Dream On" appears on his nominations list. That song peaked at #59, but it seems to me that everyone and their dog knows the song, so I'll allow it unless we have any objections.

As will be reflected in the original post, the #2 rule is not absolute, thanks to bkev.
