If you haven't read his blog....oh gosh, read it.
If you haven't read his blog....oh gosh, read it.
Pretty sure it's still an into thread?
There is a shortage of those kinds of wizards in these parts.
I think it's worth pointing out that although Ady has certainly done the lion's share of work on Revisited so far, he's far from alone. Working with others is not a foreign concept here.
What Bingo said, including that last paragraph.

Damn. That's the third job I lost because I couldn't speak Bocce.
What, are you only fluent in 5,999,999 forms of communication? Poor guy. Here's a starter word: pallino
I do not know anything with 100% surety, for even my own senses may be tricking me. But, given that there is no way around that, I may as well live as if my senses are accurate. There's really no other option.
I might actually buy a comic!

Thirteen year old Ziggy was lacking in the intelligence department, I've noticed.
It's okay. It applies to thirteen year old everyone.

I suppose 60th;s of a second. will work.
I can start and stop my stop watch in 19 (60th;s of a second)
If you're referring to values below seconds on a stopwatch, check and see if they're resetting to 00 at 59 or 99. If 99, as is usual, that's milliseconds.

There’s not enough makeup in the world to make Fisher look human anymore.
I don’t understand why she would want to be in this film.
That is not someone who belongs on the big screen.Stick to watching porn if you only want to see people who fit your narrow definition of beauty featured on the big screen.
Are you thirteen years old?
Possibly my favorite post I've seen on this board.
Behold, the topical spam puppet

Here's an idea, as a special feature on the bluray, why not include a fan-made documentary about the film? Jamie Benning's "Star Wars Begins" filmumentary would be a perfect fit, I think
Jamie, aka Jambe, has been been known to post on this board. See threads for his three Star Wars documentaries:

But, given that that's a separate project, I doubt it would be included with this.

2. Luke had nothing. There is just no indication that Luke was after her in SW. If anything, one could say she was hitting on him and his reactions were rather cold and clumsy.
Uh...
She angrily turns, and as she starts out of the cockpit, passes Luke coming in.
LEIA: Your friend is quite a mercenary. I wonder if he really cares about anything...or anyone.
LUKE: I care!
Luke, shaking his head, sits in the copilot seat. He and Han stare out at the vast blackness of space.
LUKE: So...what do you think of her, Han?
HAN: I'm trying not to, kid!
LUKE: (under his breath) Good...
HAN: Still, she's got a lot of spirit. I don't know, what do you think? Do you think a princess and a guy like me...
LUKE: No!
Luke says it with finality and looks away. Han smiles at young Luke's jealousy.
Yeah, Luke pretty clearly had a thing for her.
That is pretty great, albeit missing the new kids. Source?

How we were going to get there, what the choices were going to be, who was going to be in it – all of those things I knew would have to be figured out, but it was all based on a foundation of this indescribable, guttural passion for something that could be. It’s a similar feeling that I have with Star Wars. I feel like I can identify a hunger for what I would want to see again and that is an incredibly exciting place to begin a project. The movies, the worlds could not be more different but that feeling that there’s something amazing here is the thing that they share.”
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat he didn't even mention a mystery box!
After mid-may (but before August) I should have time to help out with this. Maybe it's navel gazing, but some documentation of this community seems good to me.
Nice! Definitely looks better.
If you have the time/resources, I'd replace that long shot matte though. One of ROTJ's many terrible matte paintings.

Yeah, like we need any more mixes for Star Wars ;-)
I, for one, would like a 5.1 mono-upmix with "Close the blastdoors", the stereo Tantive alarm, and all of Tarkin's lines replaced with a Spanish dub. That seems reasonable.
Oh.
Darn.

Yikes, that's sad.
I mean, at present it's GOUT....
Won't ROTP be our highest quality Sebastian-Shaw-ghost source, if the -1 crew never get around to a 35mm ROTJ?

In terms of Adywan's edit being the SE we should have had, I don't think anyone can argue with this as it actually has LESS changes than the official SE and addresses many of the official SE's excesses. Ady's version is somewhere in between an enhanced and remastered Theatrical version and George's butchered SE. I fail to see how this is a bad thing.
Disagree. Although Ady removed some changes (Greedo shoots first, Jabba's at the Docking Bay), he introduced new shots (the Death Star reveal, the TIE reveal), added new effects (redid all lightsabers & blasters, upgraded the table to holographic, used an explosion from Stargate SG-1), and made further changes (edited Obi & Luke's conversation back to the script from the OOT version, edited Obi & Vader's duel) beyond that. It goes beyond what the SE did while correcting the places where the SE went wrong.
And it was good.
