Perfect! The best part of our breakdown is that IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE KHAN. In fact, unless its REALLY good, if it is Khan or any other existing character it would cheapen it.

But I've not seen it, I don't know.

Well, and that's where his motivations come into play. Was he really born "John Harrison"? I think he's some kind of rogue secret agent (thus his knowledge of the weapon-ship program), but his origins before that are a mystery. That one shot of the cryotubes in the trailers has really got me wondering.

And Klingons in a staticy dryer!

I was so confused when my Mom bought some window cling-ons once.

I think have some major plot points for STID figured out. Possible SPOILERS if I'm right:

Movie starts with the crew helping out a planet that isn't technologically developed (see IMAX 9 minute preview). Kirk no longer believes the Prime Directive is the best around (see "Countdown to Darkness" comics), so the ship is hidden underwater (instead of in space for some reason). The planet is being threatened by volcanos, Spock risks his life to turn the volcano off(?).

After the mission, Kirk is called back to Starfleet Command to get in trouble. On the way back, Harrison blows up some stuff in London. Kirk and Spock are at a meeting where Harrison attacks with a shuttle, killing several Admirals, including Pike (trailers don't feature him after dressing down Kirk for the PD thing).

Kirk wants revenge for Pike's death. He claims its for London and what it represents, but its personal. Admiral Marcus (Peter Weller) won't let him go, but he does anyway.

I'm pretty fuzzy on everything else. So maybe I don't know much of anything.

He, thanks to some clue, pursues Harrison to the Klingon homeworld of Qo'noS, violating treaties and traveling covertly. They find Harrison and fight, with Klingon involvement (probably as a third party and not on either side), but Harrison escapes.

Harrison then proceeds to hijack and steal a secret Starfleet prototype heavy-weapon ship. Maybe he did this earlier in the film, I dunno. Either way, knowing he has this involves Admiral Marcus's daughter, Carol, who does weapons research for Starfleet and worked on the project.

Harrison is coming to Earth, probably to destroy everything, and the Enterprise races home to stop him. Big explosions. Harrison's stolen ship crashes into San Fran, the Enterprise may or may not also crash (but probably not thanks to Scotty).

EDIT: Note: I never said why Harrison is pissed at Starfleet. I have no idea.

Star Wars: Reclamation - rumored upcoming animated series
Time
  1. Possibly fake
  2. Makes reference to Level 1313, from the cancelled game, which either makes it fanboy fakery or less likely to happen
  3. Was part of Lucas Animation, thus less likely to happen now
  4. If not fake, definite proof that Lucas & Co. were planning on Episode VII before the Disney buy and that they won't just be not-using the existing EU for the ST, but will be downright contradicting/overwriting it.

But again, that's if it's even real.

Those costumes have been discussed a few times before. They are real high altitude flight suits that first appeared in the Ray Harryhausen film "First Men in The Moon", a few years before they turned up on Who.

I'd love to know where their whereabouts today. Haven't spotted photos of the Bossk costume at any of the exhibitions.

It's things like this that make me think we need a 2nd Star Wars Wiki. Wookieepedia is great for in-universe, typically-EU stuff. But a 2nd wiki focused on behind the scenes, technical issues, etc....that's more what OT.com-ers would contribute to.

There’s not enough makeup in the world to make Fisher look human anymore.

I don’t understand why she would want to be in this film.

That is not someone who belongs on the big screen.

Stick to watching porn if you only want to see people who fit your narrow definition of beauty featured on the big screen.

Are you thirteen years old?

Possibly my favorite post I've seen on this board.

Here's an idea, as a special feature on the bluray, why not include a fan-made documentary about the film? Jamie Benning's "Star Wars Begins" filmumentary would be a perfect fit, I think

Jamie, aka Jambe, has been been known to post on this board. See threads for his three Star Wars documentaries:

But, given that that's a separate project, I doubt it would be included with this.
