Oh now that would be fantastic. And I'm pretty sure it's doable. Yes....How does that work? How does the Queen come with QGJ on Tattooine? Why does the Queen stop dressing as the Queen for awhile? What about when they go to visit Boss Nass at the big stone head?

And what happens at the start of AOTC?

I actually think you cut a little too much. The removal of the decoy queen at the throne room makes their turning the tables too quick, too hard to tell what's going on, and a little too easy (even for this movie)

But more importantly.............Kirk dies. The climax of the film essentially flips his and Spock's places from TWOK. Kirk dies from radiation. Earlier in the film we learn that Khan's blood can heal. If you saw the IMAX prologue that's how Khan heals that guy's daughter (then recruits him to do something). Bones discovers Khan's blood heals by injecting it into a dead Tribble and seeing it come back alive. So at the end of the film Spock is chasing down Khan in order to get his blood and save Kirk. They succeed.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. Cool cool cool.

Although....how can you kill Khan, then?

All I've seen (having also missed some of that, I think), is that Harrison is Khan, and Admiral Marcus is holding the rest of Khan's men (still in cryo) hostage while Khan does his bidding: Stirring up tension (and thus war) between the Federation & the Klingon Empire.

Out of respect for folks like 005 that don't want to know THE SURPRISE, let's talk about things here, about how much the movie is ruined, etc.

I can't decide if learning what I've learned about the surprise was good to learn.

The 2nd clip is fantastic, except for the overlay of the stars. It goes on for too long and has too much motion & continuity for a star-sweeping montage-style overlay.

It's been too long since I've seen in the film to really comment on the first one, but it seemed to work pretty well. Something felt slightly off about the cuts between scenes, like it was too sudden or not sudden enough, but I really am not sure what. It worked.

The entire book is about one character.

I still don't really understand why they thought that would make sense.

But hey, as far as SE changes go, the rope is not a truly horrible one.
