Dude, you know theres a story being told during this film right? Its right in the foreground, more or less right in front of all those tiny little lights in the background. If you squint real hard you can just make it out...
I might be mistaken but I'm pretty sure that ESBR is essentially ESB with updated visuals. Fixing these inconsistencies is kind of the point.
Couldn't've said it better myself. Part of the point of ESBR is fixing all this dumb stuff.

EDIT: Found a better picture. Looks like there are more displays than my mind remembered, but at the same time, look at all those lights that serve no purpose but to blink.
Pretty sure you just found a mirrored image. Note the apparent ngle of the two central sections; they're not flat to each other. Just from this Revisited comparison you can see at least one panel not in your pic.
Perhaps there's a way to communicate that Padme is dying? I'm not sure why she would be dying, but that might work.
On the other hand, the fact that her husband is a powerful Sith Lord, apprenticed to the ruler of the Galaxy, who is also a Sith Lord, might be a good reason to send her and the kids into hiding. Adopting Leia doesn't seem so crazy, then, even if Padme isn't dying.
I'll admit that I never got around to watching the different methods comparison thread, but this latest version looks great

This is on the shoulders of several people here. I've reached a new level of nerdiness - I created a Wookieepedia account...and I've already corrected an EU mistake.
This might be even more remarkable than the fact that you're even reading EU!

They're taking all the ORIGINAL film elements for the episodes and recomposing them from scratch.
I thought this wasn't possible for many effects, having been produced on video, and so they're redoing things in CG?

So this thread contains...twin observations?
Thanks, I'll be here all week.
Now there are....

To be fair, the facemask and asteroid gravity are logical problems, not understanding problems. With Luke, the visuals apparently didn't communicate to me what was happening; I've no problem with the logic of his getting sucked into that thing, just the way it's shown.
That being said, I also don't care if it gets changed.
Oh man, that looks so good.
I continue to look forward to this. Big time.
Never until today did I understand just where Luke goes - Out a side vent, not the bottom! This makes a lot more sense.
But yeah, that shot of him entering the vent for the first time is at a bad angle for communicating that motion.
Yes, Extended. I admit that I did not, myself, watch the dvd and bluray versions side by side, but from what I remember of comparisons, it's definitely not a constant tint application. Certain scenes were greener, the mountain pass with Boromir was noticeably blue, etc. It was quite deliberate, just as it had been throughout the trilogy. I expect it will be in The Hobbit just as much as it was in LOTR - The only difference is that there won't be a differently colored version of the first Hobbit film in existence.
The real question is: Why haven't they fired the other people who knew but did nothing? That's the fishy part.
I watched the Blu-ray version of FOTR and was not distracted by the colors. LOTR is a heavily graded movie, intentionally so, and they simply brought FOTR up to the same level of grading as its sequels. I expect the same from The Hobbit (1 & 2, natch).
I want an ending less happy than the "Celebrate the looooooooove" group photo

She was very beautiful. Kind, but sad.
Please note: "greatest fantasy movie"
After reading Wookieepedia, as I've long given up on actually reading most EU, I can confirm the presence of Anakin, Obi-Wan, Palpatine/Sidious & the Prequel Jedi Council, but they mostly get written out pretty quickly, with the exception of Sidious. The book also serves as a backstory to The New Jedi Order EU books, as well as a backstory to Thrawn. YMMV
Of all the things Ady's doing for ESB:R, The Carbonite is near if not at the top of the "Can he really pull this off?" list. That, and the Wampa.
