This era is so exciting to me. I would kill to have movies and shows take place during this time period.

I have been taking my time because I’ve been waiting for things to arrive. (Fucksake I had to order on Ebay because amazon uk isn’t releasing the books and comics at the same time as america and there is no bookshop in the town I live in.).

I’m about 60% through test of courage. It’s a very nice side story that gives some very interesting info about the Old republic.

I just wish I could walk into a shop and buy the books on release day but test of courage wasn’t even released until February in the uk and ireland.

I just love the setting of the High Republic. I was always hoping for Old republic material but high republic has filled that gap for me.

Rey never knows the other Jedi. I think personal works way better after Luke just told a personal story about him and Leia.

She tries to reach out to them in the beginning of the movie, we then get a payoff at the end with all the jedi. I like it that way.

I’m probably speaking out my ass as I have no experience in this field but is it possible to interpolate the Hux footage so we could hypothetically slow the scene down a touch.

When Poe and Finn look behind them, slow the footage down a bit to give them a more sense of disbelief and then cut to Hux saying we dont have much time

Cool, that’s alot more clear, before the cuts it’s as if each scene was written and filmed day by day.

I got another question; is there any other lines in the movie you feel should be removed, muted to be exact, seeing as you muted one of Kylos lines and it gave the movie another moment to breathe.

Sorry if what I’m saying is redundant because I know these have even brought up before:

I always wanted the 'I’m the spy" moment fixed. I wanted it to feel more serious instead of the quippy BS we were given.

The dialogue on Kajimi between Poe and Co when they meet Zorii needs to be tightened to give the scene tension.

The huuuuuge continuity error where Rey gives her lightsaber to Leia and then in the next scene it’s back on her waist and then Leia proceeds to give it to her. Movies Remastered did a fantastic edit to fix this.

What Palpatine lines have been cut out of this next cut?

The close up of palpatine face sat in the throne would be the look I would go for.

There are alot of moments that were cut from the movie that help it out more.
Cutting the Biggs stuff, luke looking up at the sky, Han meeting Jabba and being given info we already learned from Greedo.

But overall, there is no such thing as a good first cut. Everything we love was shot, and there is no way Lucas would have discarded it. We may have ended up with a slower movie overall but we would still have had 99% of what we loved about the movie.

Here is an idea that wouldn’t be worth the time to construct lol

Open the movie with a younger Richard E. Grant hunkered down as he is in his hologram scene with Palaptine in TROS.

I would use someone who could do an impression of him,deage Richard e grant and give him the badges of a high level imperial officer (I’m trash with rankings lol)

Have Palpatine tell him to arrange everything for Exegol. The time has come.

All of this takes place on the bridge of a star destroyer. It would take place just before Vader and Luke meet the Emperor.

It’s too much work to carry out but I picture the star destroyer going through hyperspace.

It arrives above Exegol, and an officer asks Richard e grant “what now, sir?”.
Richard e grant would reply “we wait…”

And from there it cuts into the movie as we know it.

I think bbghost’s version would work best. I went through the video games and I couldn’t find satisfactory dialogue.

Not entirely. Finn still says that the Emperor wanted Rey brought to him on Exegol if Ochi caught her. We simply made it up to interpretation whether he would do the ritual or kill her at that point. Imo that ambiguity works much better because it makes Palpatine’s plan easier to follow along for the average person.

The flip flopping of Palpatines plan got so annoying watching it. I didnt realise this was something being implemented, this amends my major issue with palpatine in the movie.

So hyped for V2.

@jarjar - have you tried implementing the noises for the saber to see how it sounds?

Perfect. As you mentioned, once the hair is edited this sequence is done for sure, Nev covered all grounds with his regrade.

And the music during the lifting of the x wing is a direct call back to yoda. This is Luke’s yoda moment, its fitting.

A new piece of head canon. Palpatine told his loyalists on the death star to be ready on Exegol, as there was a chance Vader would betray him.

Anyone ever have music stick in their heads nonstop. And I dont mean just like an earworm but literally just over and over random music.

Since my routine (or lack thereof) has been the same for months now, I wonder is this happening because I’m not doing anything of value leading my mind causing it to happen.

Guys, this scene will become the philosophical meaning of the movie’s tittle… the RISE (of the sun) of Skywalker

Starting the scene in dark represents Rey’s loss of hope. Seeing the ship burn and seeing it reflect on her face, she has lost all hope.
When Luke lifts the X Wing and we see the sun rise and shine, it signifies the hope rising in her again.
