^Fuck you :( A boycott is a VERY DELIBERATE attempt to HARMMM another HUMAN BEING or group of HUMAN BEINGS. That is ALWAYS a BINARY and NEVER a NEUTRAL activity. If one sets out to VERY DELIBERATELY HARM ANOTHER, it either serves the ultimate good or it is an act of GREAT EVIL. That is why anyone who contemplates VERY DELIBERATELY HARMMMMING another HUMAN BEING to ANY DEGREE should consider long and carefully whether they are truly on the side of the angels. XXXOOO :)

Violent assaults by homosexually oriented characters ocur at a vastly greater rate as assaults by straights against gays and bis'. With rates that radically out of wac I don't believe ANY homosexual has any business carrying on as if THEY are the great victims. The Wyoming (Utah?) robbery thing was a great tragedy but they FINALLY found something they could pretend was straight on gay. It didn't matter that it looks like a couple of mean drunks got bombed out of their skulls and got a little carried away trying to scare him into not going to the cops. THIS is the great singular case of gay bashing? I don't care about what consenting adults do in private homes or private clubs. I have a problem with Heteros promoting or exhibiting freaky hetero stuff while in public in front of other peoples children. I am also horrified by the targeting of other people's children and confused teens (regressed children.) Anyone who dares to have a problem with these things are instantly demonized and dehumanized and targeted as politically incorrect enemies. That is dispicable beyond words. HOMOSEXUALS believe wholeheartedly in TURNING and many target children and confused and vulnerable teens. There are MANY credible studies, TWINS being among the most notable, that proves that this proclivity is essentially determined by ENVIRONMENT. There is NOTHING credible to indicate it is due to what would be the shortest lived genetic mutation in human history.

The grainy fighter attack is alot of fun. I like the "softer" gauzier look. It reminds me of wathching well-worn prints in mono of SW in second run theaters as a kid. I loved it :)

Ooh, I've got one. Haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere: GL saw the marked shift between TOS and TNG and thought it might make a good shift in his own scifi series. TOS is far out in the rough and rude hinterlands. Everything is sort of ad hoc and improvised, the characters and the ship seem utterly on their own most of the time. TNG seems as though it takes place closer to the core Federation territory, everything is neat and tidy and has access to a huge establishment.

I wouldn't be worried about a group with such unusual priorities. They put some good glorified TV episodes in their top three list of great Trek films. Though I know I'm not one to talk, I rate the films for pure personal entertainment value. #1 TVH: I got some hearty laughs and some good chuckles in what I thought was a terrific send-off for the TOS crew. #2 ST09 A great rip-roaring reintroduction to an alternate TOS universe. #3 TWOK Managed to achieve the level of a true cinematic space opera.

KICKASS 2 I enjoyed it. The way they brought it almost to the point of plausibility while maintaining an internal and external sense of moral ambiguity was fun. Good satire of high school life. Now I'll have to see the first.

Great work. I suppose that "Sweep" was the most important factor on Tat. Everything had a sort of raw and real feel to it. It was obviously very successful. I loved it. Another master leaves us. RIP

IIRC, it seemed to me that Kirk was to be the central character with Spock and Bones as the secondaries in GR's original vision for TOS. I couldn't blame WS, LN, and DK for wanting to maintain their perogatives and screentime undiluted if they signed up with that understanding. I can understand why the supporting actors would want more, but the deal is the deal. Of course the industry likes to create conflicts for the sake of conflicts ;/ ST09 did a great job of making Kirk central with Spock and Bones secondary while reintroducing the other characters briefly and in very positive ways.

^^^ I like the cut with the reduced bickering alot. It could work well that way. The alternative I know of is to minimize runtime but might work to eliminate conflict. If the sky out the windows could be altered to make it more sun-setty, the elevator-meet-and-greet could be cut right after Typho mentions greater danger than realized with some ominous music taking us to Fett and the changling. The part about "You're using her as bait!?" could be cut. Obi could then be reckless like Ani when he jumps out the window.

ALIEN3 stepped on it's own storyline a bit. It's about self sacrifice (thus the religious overtones) but it diminished the force of the sacrifice by taking away Ripley's great reason to want to live as the story began (Newt.)

Before the EU and PT, I thought that GL was suggesting that the Mon Cal had some special status in the beforetime. Like they might have been one of the few or the only power that was, by convention, tolerated as having a large hyperspace capable starfleet.

The legalization crowd never honestly considers the downside of making these toxins extremely cheap and easily available. Our society is totally reliant on the automobile and we don't have any good way to measure the effects, overdoses, corruption of children and troubled teens, destruction of their motivation and ability to relate in society, rape and abuse.... The people who believe we will have a better society if Shucky Johnson is free to build his Homosexuel Brothel and Cheap Drugs Emporiums across the street from every school in the nation are devestatingly insane. That said, I know the status quo is also destructive and stupid. My "best possible" solution would be to establish narcotics clinics within about a 20 minutes drive of most of the population. Genuinely addicted adults could go there and get the drug of their choice at a small cost under tightly controlled conditions. They would have to sit in sex segregated rooms and watch videos about kicking the habit. The staff would know how to aid in OD and reactions. People would have to pass sobriety tests or have someone pick them up. It would totally undercut the black market, totally deglamorize drug use, and discourage all but the seriously addicted. I would then provide draconian punishments for anyone who encourages kids to mess with that poison.

A concept that modern Hollywood has great difficulty grasping: A little too little is at least 50 times better than a little too much. A little too little leaves the audience felling "Ooh, I wish it could go on." Too much is "Wuh, I'm glad that's over."

That's a very clever way to relaunch with an ovewhelming dilemma. I like that you are developing the 5 Ws in some detail. It might not be necessary to reveal as much about every point in the final screenplay, but that sure helps in developing a story that can be followed by the audience without a major "huh?".

Sweeping natural looking backdrops. It seems like most of the great classics of the anamorphic era have them. New dialogue that is snappy and fun like ANH and ESB. One word: POIGNANCY. Find places where the meaningfulness and emotional force for the characters could be maximize. How to do this? I don't know. I...don't...know <INSERT GHOSTBUSTERS GIF>

I like starting with ANH and ending with ROTJ. With Machette, we're plunged into the middle of great conflicts twice before the end. There is still mirroring with a 12 12 33 sort of structure. I like the off-the-wall unexpectedness.

Offhand, I'd just remember GL's original conception of the character as a darker and more badass Man With No Name.
