I just never was really that much into it.

get into it then adam, its not good for you to sit at a computer all day, get some activity in your life or you'll have diabetes by 20.

I understand the sentiment, Shim, but I don't like your example. My brother's diabetic (and 20, for that matter), and his had nothing to do with inactivity. It's an issue that cuts close.

EDIT: It is still a serious issue, though, and you're right, Shim. I don't want to sound condescending. Diabetes is certainly not something to joke about.

and when did you install a cave, sybe? is there some sort of secret project i don't know about?

I never thought of that. That would certainly explain his aversion to sunlight.

As for the cave, it's always been there, but the SEP field generator is on the fritz.

Does anyone here like Rap music?

I may have to check them out.

I'm primarily a rocker, but I hate a lot of modern rock as well. Pretty much any new band on the radio (Nickelback, Linkin Park, Puddle of Mudd, etc.) makes me want to pull my hair out in clumps. I pretty much listen to older rock (except for White Zombie, but they don't count. They're more of a guilty pleasure than a "OMG THEYRE TEH BEST BAND EVRRR!!!!" type band. I know they aren't that good, but I like them anyway).

I'll have to check out K-O's. They (or he, whatever ) sound intriguing.

One reason I have a grudge against rap is the rap/rock remix, i.e. taking old, classic rock songs and rapping over them. So far I've heard remixes of Aerosmith's "Dream On" (by Eminem, no less, whom I hate), Slayer's "Raining Blood", and Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train". There's only so much I can take......

The only rap/rock remix that doesn't suck is Aerosmith/Run-DMC's "Walk This Way" remix.

Dude, some day, we should exchange iPods...we probably wouldn't even notics the difference, our tastes are so alike.

Thanks Ric. Adam is certainly more than a one-man job. You use the not-so-secret spy tricks, I'll use the general manager tricks, and YIYF will use his behind the scenes magic. Together, I'm sure we can turn our lamps, broadswords and grues into some sort of Adam repellant. And, if not, I'll just wait for the new forum software and ignore him.

Nanner, from what I hear in other posts, you and I have similar tastes in a lot of music. But I'd urge you not to turn away from hip-hop categorically. I don't like using the term "rap" because most people like to put a "c" in front. If you want smart lyrics, try this on for size.

From "The Love Song" by K-Os

Lyrical optometrists with 20/20 vision
Are serving rounds like my granny used to serve provisions
Chaotical amneotical fluid
The rap druid is fluent in the art of onomatopoeia
Metaphysical microscopic topic dropper
When I was a kid I wanted rollerskates and a bike chopper
But alas, pop, pop never thought to keep me in style
Thats why I'm schizophrenic now
So God bless the child that has his own
The harvest we reap is what we sow
Chrome microphone - shoot it
Towards a dome of computer digital clones that mimic philosopher stones
Sayin a style's their own when they bite like Mike Furounsville
The sounds ill
Relationship is a mirror
That you see yourself up in and the picture is clearer
Thats why I'm on the scene with a mike like Ernesto Guevara
Why I may exploit with lights like Geraldo Rivera, they just.

My kind of night, rain and Sinatra. It just doesn't rain here often enough. Never hard enough to really be of any consequence.

I love social games. Board games, card games, word games. Games where you sit down and play with one or more friends. I love playing them with friends, or strangers, or anybody. I love to win, and I don't mind losing (though I try to keep the losing to a minimum). I never go anywhere without a deck of cards.
