Graphics Editor Tool ????
Time
I love Photoshop, but at the same time, there are other programs out there that are just as good. Being the magnificently cheap bastard I am, and because I only do graphics recreationally, I have turned to the GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program). It's perhaps slightly less powerful than Photoshop, but for the average user, you wouldn't notice much of a difference, except in price. the GIMP is open source, meaning you pay absolutely nothing for it. It's the way I do things now.

The Cowclops Transfers (a.k.a. the PCM audio DVD's, Row47 set) Info and Feedback Thread (Released)

I just finished burning the original TR47 set, and I thoroughly love having them. It's great to now have the original and the 2004 versions so I can watch them both. Thanks for the great set Cowclops and TR47, and I can't wait for the new one!

On a side note, I'm tempted to burn the WookieGroomer set and put all three in one case -- OOT, 2004OT and Splitscreen! It'd be awesome!

Info Wanted: Preparing for SW marathon, wondering about O-OT - which preservation set is best?

And if you're willing to go with Fan Films, Revelations fits incredibly well in between Eps III and IV. It's really good, too!

Edit: I should answer the original question too!

It really depends on what you're looking for. I'd suggest the TR47 versions, because the sound is amazing, and the video is pretty good too. That set is barebones, but it should work on any DVD player. Read the stickies for information about the different versions.

As for availability, a number of the sets are available for download with a BitTorrent client through www.myspleen.net. Alternatively, you can often talk to the creators (or Rikter), and they can help you get a set, either for free or for a small fee (the cost of the blank DVDs and postage, etc.)

Hey!

I'm a bit of a lurker here, but I'm going to change that. I recently grabbed Rikter's torrents of the TR47 transfer, and I must say, it blew my mind! I love being able to watch the same Star Wars I grew up with. I like the 2004 releases, but it's great to have a copy to look back at. Thanks for all your hard work and, after reading through this whole thread, I can't wait for Cowclops' next release!

Thanks all!
