STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
Adywan, you my man, are the bomb. That was just ...."WOW"! Thank you thank you thank you. There were a few shots I think that you could have taken more advantage of, and personally I do miss the Jabba scene getting taken out, but overall you've got one heck of edit here. I'm looking forward to DVD version.

THANK YOU!

Help: looking for... Rowman's extra SW disc covers art
Time
There are no deleted "scenes" on the ESTB or ROTJ Rowman bonus material discs. There are pics but no video if that's what you're looking for. No deleted scene video for either of those films have ever been released (except the Han/Leia kiss on Bespin which is on the bonus disc of the DVD set from a few years ago).

You can see many of the deleted scene images here:

Adywan, you're more than welcome to do as you please with your edit...but even if the change works with what happens with Ep3, what it does do is take away from the flawed character that Obi-Wan is. The fact that he lies about the saber and lies about Anakin's father, says a lot about his character. I think changing that changes what we've known about Obi-Wan for a long time now. But anyway, that's just my opinion.

I personally believe that old Ben was being his normal sly self. I think Anakin would have wanted his son to have it. But under the circumstances, Ben just twisted words. He should have said "he 'WOULD' have wanted you to have this." But instead he twisted the facts once again for the benefit of the galaxy.

This is the same hesitation I'm noticing while playing the clip. It happens as the transition happens with the speeder going over the hill and then the next shot of it zooming from the left to right. It also happens with the two ties fly towards camera with the star destroyer entering hyperspace, and I think one other place that alludes me at the moment.

Great stuff. I love how the cantina music is louder when you are close rot the band and the han vs greedo is perfect.

I have 1 critique but it's something i could live with, As the speeder first approaches Mos Eisley the camera seems to linger for a moment too long and the image seems quite static and motionless. Anyone else notice this?

that aside. loving the clip, I'll be sure to show this to my mates whom I've been keeping up to speed on the project. D/loading the bonus clip now.

wmv compression issue
Time
I've got a huffyuv avi that I capured from VHS. When I view it in Vegas Video it plays in sync fine. If I render it as a MPEG2 or MOV file it plays fine in both media player and quicktime respectively, but if I render the file as a WMV for some reason the video/audio get slightly out of sync by about half a second or so by the end.

If I load the WMV into Vegas it plays fine. If I play it in media player it's out of sync. Any ideas as what the issue may be?

Um...no. Not all 80's people lost interest. I saw the TV movies. I didn't lose interest as much as the films kind of just faded away.

Mike O, I just meant in the 80s people lost interest in Star Wars post-Jedi, and seemed to ignore the Tv movies. And the cartoons, toys and comic books.
Randy, uh, yes that's exactly what I meant. You got me. Kudos.

Jambe, I went to C3 and know from what you speak. The lines were even worse there. We waited in the cold and rain for hours before they would let us in. And when they finally did it took over an hour for us to even get in. That's unexcuseable. A stadium with as many entrances as they had should take no more than 5-10 minutes. You hire enough staff to get people in and spending money...not waiting in a cue outside freezing and getting wet. That's poor planning and poor service. It serves no other purpose but to piss people off.

Inside...more lines. We didn't have any content problems at C3 though. There was plenty enough to do, but for most of it you had to wait in some long lines. They should have made these exhibits and what not 24/7 so people could go off hours and what not considering the number of people at these events.

Oh and Anthony Daniels? yeah he's got one bloated ego. I like the guy as C-3PO but watching him on stage is sickening.

Well the Holiday Special isn't the same cantina. It's a different one from what I can tell. According to Star Wars Galaxies, the most likely spot would be in an alcove to the left (from the front entrance ...almost directly across from Wuher...but as to the accuracy of that I can't for sure say.

Although the tech schematic which I suppose is as about canon as it gets? says it's on the right side:

In the cantina we see a wide shot of the inside of the cantina but there is something missing from the shot... the band. Where the hell are they? I want to add the band in the background but all shots in ANh are closeup shots. If i remember correctly the Holiday Special has a sequence featuring the cantina band & Bea Arthur. I did have a copy of this but i just can't find it anywhere and it was the version that has the highest quality transfer too. Can anyone who has this please post the complete cantina sequence in its original mpeg2 format please or point me in the right direction where i can obtain a copy as fast as possible. I'm pretty sure it was called the KCCI version and is hell of a lot better quality to work with than all the other versions. Any help would be greatly appreciated for this.
