***The "ADigitalMan Special Editions" DVD Info and Feedback Thread***
Time
I recently watched the ADM fan fedit of EP3...good stuff. I really enjoyed seeing the added scenes and the changes to the battle droids' voices. I wasn't too keen on the Liam Neeson additions though. It was just too confusing I thought. I'd love to have had the R2 slamming back, as well as the cheesy "yes", Anakin and Padme's scene and Palpatine's too weak to fight. All the other stuff...very nice. I just can't see why they had to make the battle droids so cheesy.

One thing I dont think I've heard anyone mention is how cheesy the line is when Obi-Wan says.."we're smarter than this"...I mean come on..He's a Jedi for crying out loud. With the force he should have know better. To me there he's just acting like a complete moron. I'd cut that out in a heartbeat.

The AT-ST
Time
Hi guys, this will be an unusual request but I'm curious if there's a documentary that anyone knows of that has an isolated effects track with sound only for an AT-ST. I am trying to grab the effects for something I'm putting together, so if there is such a segment from one of the Docs that you know of I'd really appreciate it.

Remember when everyone hated Return of the Jedi?
Time
First off, let me stress by saying that I've seen every film the year they were released. I was 8 years old in '77 and old enough to recall it was the most awesome experience I had ever had watching a movie at that point. It captivated me like no other movie had, enough to the point that I wanted to see it again which back in the day rarely anyone did, especially not to the extent SW fans did.

When I saw ROTJ, I enjoyed it but I really didn't care much for the Ewoks. I still don't. There are parts of the movie that are totally amazing and other parts that I still dread to this day, but I'm not the type of fan that's going to up ROTJ just because of the PT. In fact, I'm a fan of the prequels. A big huge fan. I enjoyed them despite some misgivings here and there.

And you know it's because I'm an adult that I see things I didn't see as a kid. And I see them in both trilogies and I'm glad I'm the type of fan that can enjoy them all. It's not the films that tarnished my experience, it's growing up that did.

***//BUILDING EMPIRE\\: PAL & NTSC DVD - NEW EDITION NOW ONLINE! ***
Time
DF, so you forked out for one of the new HD players eh? That must have cost you a pretty penny. Which did you get? HD-DVD or Blue Ray? You worried one might go the way of Betamax? I'd love to be there with you, but until Star Wars is out on HD I won't be getting one anytime soon. The Fifth Element though makes me salvinate a bit though since I've heard that will be one of the first movies put out on HD.

For newies: What to watch first?
Time
Okay, so I'm new here (but not new to Star Wars, fan films, etc) but I'm kind of up in the air as to what to watch next.

So far I've seen Building Empire, Deleted Magic, Return of the Ewok and the Holiday Special. What do you think should be next on my agenda? Or if you had to come up with a top 10 things you have to see from this particular thread, what would they be?

I'd just like to make sure I'm investing my time wisely.

I don't think anyone should have to pay $40 to buy a new DVD player to watch one film. That's a bit ridiculous I think, but at the same time it's also ridiculous to expect someone to convert a film from PAL to NTSC just for their sakes.

Me personally, I'd love to see an NTSC version of BE. Do I expect it? No, but would I like it...by all means. So if anyone's able and willing to convert and spend the time, your work will not go unappreciated I'm sure of that.

Anyway, extras or no extras I'd be totally happy with either version.

Please put me down as one who's very much interested in an NTSC version of Building Empire. I got to see it for the first time this weekend and it was brilliant! I enjoyed it a lot and would love to be able to play it on my NTSC only DVD player. I'm too cheap to pay $40 for a DVD player for one movie. But if there were no other option, I might seriously consider it. But thanks for considering doing this version, I know I won't be the only one who'd appreciate it.
