The Phantom Menace - Spence Edit
Time

I don't mean to bother you again with this type of questioning but, why would you only make TPM high-def and not the other two HD also?  You said it would be tough on your system but wouldn't TPM be tough on it too?  I'm sure many of us would appreciate/love your whole prequel trilogy in HD, I know I would.  : )

Edit:  My biggest reason for wanting this is because I quit watching the prequels except for the great edits on fanedit.org.  L8wrtr's, JasonN's, yours, and many others are great and make them more than watchable.  I want to see the prequels in HD but not Lucas's.  It appears that L8wrtr and JasonN backed out of there plans so that's why I was hoping you might do all three.

Curious question; what are the proper dimensions to print out the BD covers? When I load them to photoshop they come out gigantic. I tried taking them to Kinko's and Officemax and the same thing. They told me I had to pay an extra $7 to cover poster printing! LOL! Would really appreciate the help.

Harmy, I do have to thank you for putting all the time and effort on these releases! I've been getting a kick out of watching the OT in HD!

10.65 Width

5.867 Height

that will ensure it is side to side with no gap.

One last thing, this is in inches?

There's a great prog that was recommended to me called "undercoverxp".  I was having trouble too making covers then I used this and selected bluray and they came out perfectly.  Here's the link:   http://undercoverxp.tk/

Oh, by the way, despite the name it works in Windows 7 too.

I'll give this a try if I can't get it right with Photoshop. Would I have to use Legal paper or would regular size do with UndercoverXP?

I used regular size paper.   I definitely would try undercoverxp if I were you.  From what I've read on other forums people swear by it.  It worked like a charm for me too.

edit:   You won't have to worry about those measurements above with undercoverxp you just select bluray and it does all the work for you.

Oh humblest of apologies stretch009. I honestly did not see your post. I probably thought you were 46fleetline since you too had no avatar. Just shot you a PM. Didn't mean to be harsh at all. I just wanted to send the PMs right away after I got home and I didn't notice that there were four requests.

Very sorry.

That's alright, no problem.  I have to say I really jumped to conclusions there.  It did cross my mind after a while that you might have not seen my post and indeed that was the case.  All is forgiven. : )

Yeah but those aren't the authentic ones.  If you can wait a bit you can get them shipped from sleevetown.com and there a couple bucks cheaper even after shipping and handling.

Never knew that... I just saw them in Best Buy and bought them since I wanted a nice case for this. What do you mean by "aren't authentic"? They have the Blu-Ray disc logo on top...

Here's a quote from Amazon:

"..........  the industry standard Viva Elite (Warner, 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate) or Vortex (Sony, Disney) cases that are the norm. "

Best Buy sells the Dynex brand which isn't sold on any of the specialty sites I've seen.  It's probably one of the knockoffs they talk about.

Sleevetown.com sells the Vortex type mentioned above.  Discmakers.com sells Viva Elite and the people on the Blu-ray.com site swear by the diskmakers.com site.  Sleevetown.com is a very popular site too from what I've gathered.

Edit:  On the other hand I've never seen the Dynex kind so I can't really compare them to the "real thing".  The reviews are pretty favorable on Bestbuy.com .........

Do they sell the blu-ray cases in stores?

Yep! You can get them at Best Buy... a 10-pack for about 12.99.

"And then when I saw some other scenes that DJ sent me to use in my Despecialized Edition HD, there seriously were times when I was thinking: Why do I even bother, this already looks like HD."

...Now THAT is exciting! Especially considering how good V3 already is in relation to other GOUT upscales

You should check out the clip d_j posted a few pages back to see how good the Blu-ray looks compared to v3. It truly is night and day!!!

what page would that be?  this thread is long.  or do you have the link?

I'm pretty sure this is what BMadden is going on about:
