There was a dust up in the "my attempt at color correcting the gout thread" i'm hoping this isnt going to put an end to this project here. You_Too had been working on squeezing every last drop of colour out of the GOUT, I'm hoping all that accrued anaylsis isnt going to go down the toliet.I sincerely hope they continue and share their work. I just got the v3 dark jedi's last week and they're fantastic. Whatever the disagreement was about it surely won't overshadow the importance of the restoration work being done by everyone here?

I plan to rerelease all of my SW edits in HD with new changes and added deleted scenes from the Blu-Rays. I also intend to include my first try at TPM in that run.
Are you still planning on doing this? I would definitely like to see them.

I haven't seen either one of these transfers recently...anywhere.
;)
I was fortunate enough to succesfully download Reivax two weeks ago from Myspleen.
-
I have the Reivax version which is great but what I really want is the Flunk because of what should be English subtitles. It looks like it will be near impossible to get off myspleen unless some other people seed it.
Please PM me if you have any info on how to obtain this.

I'm going to upload this to MultiUpload, so all can download. Someone can make a torrent, but I'm not going to.
Did you ever upload these? If so, where?

I still have all wookie groomers releases on dual layer blu ray, i can burn copys for anyone looking to get them,we can always work out a trade.pm if your interested.
Where can I get these? All the links on Tehparadox are down now and this dr pepper guy proved to be a total flake.

I absolutely loved this edit and I think it might be my all-time favorite.
I haven't seen anyone point out any flaws in R2's subtitles but I'm pretty sure when R2 is on Dagobah when he says "area" it's spelled incorrectly.

That's Zaxxon.

Badscooter's 'Spiderman 3: Redemption' is awesome and many agree with me. What do you not like about it? It's going to be hard to top that one IMO.

(I) think possibly a combination of that (Spence's Final Cut) and Dan's father son edit, would be the way to see this project forward...
I haven't been following this thread but I'd love to see this attempted. ^

Just found out about this edit, looked at fanedit.info and it seems to be MIA, plus all the rapidshare links are dead. Can one still get a copy of this?
Make a request in the Fanedit.org forum and there's a good chance it will be uploaded to fanedit.info. (by TV's Frink I think)

Ep I - Return of the Sith by Seciors
This is by far the greatest Star Wars fanedit I've ever seen and I've seen almost all of them. (This includes all OT or PT edits) The reason I say that is because it's done the seemingly impossible thing in making TPM ENJOYABLE for the first time. 'Shadow of the Sith' is good but it doesn't make me want to come back to it again like Seciors' edit.
I know Jamie would like to tackle Back to the Future at some point.
I would loooooooove to see that. Please Jamie do that one soon!
Back to the Future
Seeing how this is my all time favorite movie I'd love to see a filmumentary on it.

Have you seen Seciors' TPM edit 'Return of the Sith'? I'd love to see you make a superior edit than that. It's by far the best TPM edit I've seen and the only time I've ever really enjoyed watching The Phantom Menace.
The versions I just downloaded from Tehparadox look good to me. I'd be interested to see what you think of them. Here's the link:

I used the free program 'Recuva' the other day for the first time and it recovered a bunch of files I didn't want to delete. I don't see why it wouldn't work for you. It's really easy to use too, btw. Here's a link to the download page:

Ok, I'll give this a stab.
For Episode 1 I'm a big supporter of Return of the Sith by a fan editor called Seciors. He's made the radical change of removing the Darth Sidious character from the film entirely. I feel this improves the overall experience in three ways. 1. It makes the Trade Federation appear far more assertive and decisive now that they aren't following someone else’s orders. 2. It makes Darth Maul's introduction and presence in the film far more mysterious. 3. The surprise that Palpatine is Sidious is retained.
Seciors has also removed all of the underwater sequence from the film. The Jedi now just head straight for the Palace and rescue the Queen. The first fifteen minutes of Return of the Sith is blistering entertainment - and this is coming from a pretty harsh prequel critic.
It's also worth noting that Seciors has also removed the terms "trade" and "tax" from the edit.
For Episode 2 I like L8wtr's Republic Divided. L8wtr is a good, thoughtful editor and he has rescued the Anakin Skywalker character as well as restored the Obi-Wan/Anakin relationship in this edit.
For Episode 3 I watch Kerr's Dark Force Rising. Lots of great cuts there to streamline the Revenge of the Sith experience.
I consider myself "in the know" when it comes to SW fanedits but I've never heard of Seciors or his/her Episode I edit. It would be much appreciated if you could give me a bit of info about it including where I might find it.
Edit: Just found it on FE.org : )
How would you compare it to L8's Shadow of the Sith?
PLEASE ELABORATE
PLEASE ELABORATE ON WHAT YOU WANT ELABORATED ON.
LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking. : )

No, it's just that for SW I'm just tweaking the current edit, while with ESB I'll be starting from scratch, colour correction and all.
Out of sheer curiosity, why are you starting from scratch with ESB and not just tweaking it like SW?

Isn't that predetermined by the data you're burning? I was never given an option to choose the layer change point (using IMGburn), and I didn't notice it changing over distractingly in the middle of a scene or anything. These seem to play perfectly as they are man, I'd say you're good to go once they're DL'ed as they stand without any additional tinkering or bullshit.
Ok, that's why I asked. I didn't want to be in the middle of a scene and find a noticeable pause when the layer change occurs.
If people aren't having a problem with this then I guess neither will I.
edit: Thanks :)
