Info: Back to the Future - without DNR & EE

The Sky does not have the same amount of Dnr the Bluray has although it has compression artifacts and slight filtering due to there poor encoders. Take a screenshot of both when the sparks are coming off the wheel of the Delorean and you will see alot are missing on the Bluray due to automated clean up. The Hdnet version is more filtered than the Sky from what I remember.

So, can you tell us where we can find the Sky versions or not?

Anybody know if his cheaper double version would be region free? It costs almost half the cost of the two separately.

Yeah. I was going to say you could just take it off the blu-ray and make it fit the laserdisc footage. You could just downscale it, blur it, and noise it up a little bit.

IIRC, that's what the other preservation did. Sorry, can't remember who was behind that one, but I just downloaded it like a month ago, so it can't be too far down the forum...

Here it is and it's on the spleen:

Star Wars: SDTV & HDTV digital broadcast * database *

Found interesting news lately...

  • It seems there is a 1997SE recording of an Australian broadcast; hope to find more info on this
  • There were WOWOW broadcasts of all the episodes, in 5.1; even if in "mere" MPEG2, these files (if found) could potentially maybe better than any other ones available until now - according to other WOWOW caps like ROTLA trilogy, Aliens etc.

and....  WOWOW cap Back to the Future Part I
