Still hoping that someday someone will budge and release a Stoltz cut. Or at least a scene or clips with audio.

Stoltz clips have been released, they're on the BD extras.

Interesting article on why more of it hasn't been released:

Youtube has clips, just search 'stoltz back to the future'.

x265 is nowhere near finished, it outputs worse picture quality than x264 at the same bitrate.

Not to mention x265 isn't AVCHD/BD compatible like x264 is.

Will x265 (HEVC) ever be compatible with AVCHD/BD? I'm not sure if that's a good reason not to use it. Doh!

My point was if they want to make an AVCHD/BD compatible version also they're going to have to make an x264 version along with the x265.

There are three options in the first post, MySpleen, JDownloader or google for some checksums.

I am guessing most people want to use torrent, because they are familiar with it and have a bittorrent client anyway. But you can't get a response from MySpleen. Moving on...

WTF is JDownloader anyway? Never used it before and never likely to use it again. Don't want it. Moving on...

Googling those checksums isn't that helpful, what is really needed is the torrent checksum 756A3641E063D773ADFF18BFC73E0901FA14C24F which I posted a few pages back. Googling that DEFINITELY finds a live torrent.

Thanks for the helpful response! I am in the process of trying to figure out JDownloader but given that MySpleen seems to be the preferred and most reliably updated method I was hoping to start there.

And I hate to flaunt my ignorance but I guess I've never heard of checksums. I'll give that a shot too.

Thanks again!

JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit: turning a mediocre trilogy into one really good film (Released)

I am happy to share this all-new side quest film, called Durin's Folk and the Hill of Sorcery! It will serve as a companion piece to my main fanedit, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. This film focuses on Gandalf's investigation into Dol Guldur, along with showing more of Thorin's back story. While I felt that these subplots were too distracting in the theatrical releases of The Hobbit, now they actually work quite well on their own. Just like my main fanedit, this is only the first version of Durin's Folk...I imagine there will be more relevant footage to add once the BOFA EE is released in November!

Damnit!!  It has Thrain in it!  Deal breaker for me.

The Sky does not have the same amount of Dnr the Bluray has although it has compression artifacts and slight filtering due to there poor encoders. Take a screenshot of both when the sparks are coming off the wheel of the Delorean and you will see alot are missing on the Bluray due to automated clean up. The Hdnet version is more filtered than the Sky from what I remember.

So, can you tell us where we can find the Sky versions or not?
