It’s a sacrilege that they’d withold it though - it inspired Splash Mountain, did it not!?

Heck, I’d go further and say withholding it propogates a racist narrative.  The film takes place in a post-slavery South, focuses on the damage bigotry causes on an individual level, and ends with a message of acceptance and healing.  I don’t trust the motivations of anyone seeking to keep it from the public.

^ Excellent.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

I know that this is not the intent of this project, but I would like to respectfully suggest a version of Star Wars that includes the Episode IV: A New Hope subtitle along with the more consistent colors from the earlier versions of Despecialized versions reminiscent of the home video colors. Again, I completely understand the fact that this is not the goal of this specific project, but I think it is also important to preserve the version of Star Wars that a great number of fans (and many of us in this forum) grew up with along with the all-important theatrical versions. I would gladly do this myself if I had the ability to do it but I would no-doubt screw it up and fail miserably because of my technical ineptitude. I know that Harmy released the Star Wars 90s SE awhile back and has mentioned a willingness to include the Episode IV subtitle. Again, I’d be interested in hearing if you are willing to do this the next time you revisit the Star Wars Despecialized Edition.

+1 to a consistent-color version like V1.0. I’d much prefer it to the latest versions. I’d love it if Harmy would consider doing that along with his I.B. Tech version.

I hate to keep belaboring this question but where would you find such an HDTV version?

On a HD channel on tv? 😉 Recordings are all over the interwebs, google and you shall find.

To be fair, the release of 2011 BDs essentially erased the 2004 HD from the public interwebs. Pirates don’t generally care about anything but the latest, which is problematic for preservationists.

There far from erased from Rutracker and Usenet.

Star Wars ANH Bluray Semi-Despecialized & CC (JASWFP) V1 DONE (Released)

Just wanted to let everyone know that I’m doing a BD encode of this for my SW marathon before TFA, and intend to be a proper organ donor. I love the colors on this, but will say that for some reason the audio on it didn’t hit my surround sound system well (no clue why, but it just plays a bit tinny). As such, I’ve constructed a stereo track for this as well. The BD I release will have only the stereo track muxed, but I’ll include newguy’s original surround track separately in case you want to remux yourself. (I create my BDs in BDtoAVCHD with Placebo speed and grain preset, but it limits you to a single audio track).

NSP/JSC Trilogy - Althor's 5-AVG (with NSP Clean Up) + Schorman's GOUT Synched LD

“These will be Anamorphic 720x480 releases. I’ll release an x264 MP4 with 192 KBPS AAC first, wait for reviews, make any last minute tweaks, then release a AVCHD-9 with LPCM.”

I’m assuming the AVCHD-9 will be 720p. Are you cropping out the Japanese subs? Will there be optional or hard-subtitles for the Greedo/Jabba parts?

Would love to add this to my collection. The Director's Cut is an abomination.

@ boe

Audio Info is on page 1, first post.  I believe this project uses the best possible audio quality outside of the original laserdisc audio.  jimbotron235 has stated many times that if he is able to obtain the LD audio he will make it available.

These are already uploaded to usenet albeit a long time ago. A good usenet provider like usenetserver will download them with no problem at all though.

A long time ago . . . Yes.
segaflip posted them in August 2005 . . . before the retention wars.
I doubt usenetserver is that good.

If you think they were reposted more recently, then tell us when.
Give us a search string we can use at binsearch, nzbindex, etc.

 NZBKing.com

Search - cowclops

Full Trilogy Approx. 1818 days old. (2010 YOU posted it)   UNS has 2612 days retention.

No problem at all......
