Man, hard too keep up on the discussion, but I’m with Dominic on this on. It would be a damn shame to lose that musical score when Kylo is flying through the Nebula. I think it’s need to be established that Exogel is completely hidden planet early on and the Wayfinder needs to show the audience how Kylo found it.
Meanwhile, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren has traveled to Mustafar, chasing whispers of a rumored Imperial fleet that would allow him to destroy any threat to his power…
Hmmm…not sure about this. Wouldn’t it be better to mention a hidden clue to an unknown Sith Planet aka Exogel instead of an Imperial Fleet. As Kylo did not know about the hidden fleet until he gets to the planet. The Wayfinders gives direction to a
hidden a Sith planet that is not on any known maps.
Anyone thought of removing the Kylo and Rey kiss? Is it possible? It just doesn’t seem right. More like Disney’s insistence on catering to both sides of the fanbase. Kylo is not a redeemable character. His arc was always going to end in death. And Rey was at his throat for most of the movie. So why kiss now? It just does not work.
I’m also rather confused about Poe and Finn’s rivalry. The seemed to have great chemistry in the the last two movies. A great friendship in the making. And now they are bickering at each other over petty things? I don’t buy it. Someone please convince me otherwise.

This edit helps cement the idea that these people are a family now, instead of Rey being completely alone on a desert planet at the end. Her friends are there waiting for her : )
It also helps explain why BB-8 is there, he’s just a curious little friend : )
I like how you can still hear Poe, Finn and Chewie still arguing as Rey leaves the Falcon. This is great…well done.

I just watched the whole video…I’m now super pissed Lucasfilm hired a “hack” writer like Chris Terrio for this movie who clearly doesn’t understand how write a character arc. God, why do such amateurs keep getting hired in Hollywood…so frustrating!
The Rise of Skywalker could be referencing Luke Skywalker rising as a Force Ghost. So even if “Rey Skywalker” is cut from the end of the movie the title of the movie still holds water. I guess its open to interpretation.
That came to mind too but I have premonition Disney may use it on one of their future SW movies.
I’m leaning towards Balance of the Force (BotF) because of the dyad between Rey and Kylo.
What about Rise of the Jedi? Kinda makes sense with jonh force Ghosts appearing to help Rey take down Palpatine. But could be too close Return of the Jedi and both using the same acronym (RotJ) may not work.
Yeah, I guess a title change would be in order in that event. I’ll have to think about that. I like the clip a great deal with the Falcon; I could still use that even if I didn’t change the line.
I think what’s missing to sell that line is a specific mention elsewhere of the name “Rey Palptine.”

The “Just Rey” has no context if the Rey is a nobody and there is no Rey Palpatine. For Rey Nobody edits it would be best to cut out the line “Rey who?” from the old lady.
My suspicion is there is an extended edition of TROS will be released in the near future. It will be like BvS which released an extra 30mins of footage that filled in a lot of plot holes which was also written by the “hack” Chris Terrio.

This is fantastic. The DotF theme fits so seamlessly with this fight scene I’m surprised it wasnt used in the cinematic release.

Hmmm…to me it looks like Leia’s a force ghost not a force projection. Could be confusing for the audience. I think the solid version of Leia is better. Unless there is another way to clue the audience in that this a force projection.
I love this idea. To have Leia force project to the DSII to see her son and sacrific her self to do this gives her such an incredible send off instead her passing for no reason. With the talent here it would definitely be acheivable.

I would like to watch this, but I’m a bit confused. Are the Wayfinders still in the edit? If not, than What is Reys motivation in going to DSII if the fleet is discovered before than?

I really do not like that grunt noise Rey makes as she finishes meditating, so for me I think this was a nice change. I hope someone here decides to replicate it in their edit.
This is a really smooth edit and really enjoyable to watch.
Also, I was just wondering were you still thinking about adding Duel of the Fates theme to the Kylo vs Rey battle on the DSII in your edit?
Samuel Kim has released a new version of the DotF theme today that’s pretty epic and may fit the fight scene.
I think Daisey Ridley did a great job with the character of Rey. She also appears to be a down to earth person in real life. In my opinion I think the main issue in the sequel trilogy was Rey’s character was missing real adversity. If she had her ass kicked by Kylo Ren at the end of Ep 7 I think that would have made huge difference in how the the character was perceived. She needed to be the underdog and relatable but it just felt like everything was handed to her. I understand she had conflict with her struggling to find a role model with her parents leaving her but she never really faced real adversity. But that just my thoughts each to their own.

boo hoo the lady in the fiction movie lifted a rock
a few more rocks than “a rock”…watch the scene again she lifts close to 50 rocks and she just found her force powers in less then 48hrs. I would have the same complaint if it was lady or a man.
