Alien: Covenant - IMAX edition [spoRv] (Released)
Time

To whom it may concern: the new version is out - Alien: Covenant IMAX [Fundamental Collection] - now all the IMAX/open matte shots are perfect, no more subtitles and/or logo remains, and eventual top/bottom “slices” differences in brightness and/or color, due to the use of two sources, are completely gone.

More, it’s the usual multi language edition (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish audio and subtitles) plus the Russian tracks, and the English commentary with related foreign subs.

Now you can find it in that demonic place. Have fun!

kk650's Regraded Titanic (1997) IMAX (blanket yellow tint removed from 3D blu-ray) (Released)

I personnally prefer the LD master that came out in letter box with the first DVD in which colors were even more natural I think.

May you get some screenshot comparison? I noted sometimes differences between LD and DVD color grading, but usually the DVD version was released several years after LD.

And yes, this grading is a lot better than 3D BD, which is overly teal.

Dre, are you using WOWOW as color reference? I think so, but I would like to have a confirmation.

DVD color grading is different from both WOWOW and BD, and, IIRC, LD has another different grading, too; can’t say the latter is the closest to theatrical one (there is a proper 35mm scan, after all), but, again, IIRC there is at least one LD version taken from release print (first Italian version); sadly, it’s p&s, so I wonder if there is a widescreen version as well (from release print).

Actually, you both are PRO crazy project makers (in your own league)! 😄

Thank you for your great works, from me and every single member here (and not only here).

And you have inspired me, and many others, to jump in the project making bandwagon, so thanks again! (also, to have made me crazier than ever, by the way…)

Dre, don’t want to say that DVD menu colors are right (are they?) or better than to other grading, but in the remote chance you would do a MENU-BOT, here you are a comparison (left GOUT, right DVD menu):

Don’t know if your software would be confused by the fact the frames have not the same aspect ratio (some are closer when cropped, though) and have different elements.
