I had the same problem... no way to have a forced subtitle track using TSmuxeR... maybe MultiAVCHD would work, but never tried!
OK, as now this project is definitely "out of print" (^^,) it could be the time to upload it again somewhere... but, as it will take AT LEAST one week - due to my poor connection - is there anything I should change?
I mean, for the ones lucky (and patient) enough that grab this one before its OOP status, do you think I should correct/boost/dimish/add contrast, color grading, grain, saturation, anything else?

Further tests with the new pictures reveals no noticeable differences, hence there is no need for further comparison.
So, thought about PaNup'ed versions? I must add that, with deblock, some cleaning and a grain plate added, the result is more nicer... obviously! (^^,)

A question: could Battlefield Earth (2000) DTS Cinema discs be found somewhere?

they are only overlaid - no deblock, no clean, no grain... nothing!
You should look at the details with at least a 4x zoom to note better the difference between them.
By the way, why the NTSC height is 540 pixel instead 480?!?

It seems that Scream (Shout) Factory loves a lot [spoRv] projects... first "Supernova" (until then a forgotten movie), now "Escape From New York"... what's next? (^^,)

Maybe BD color grading is better, but considering the source of [spoRv] is an highly compressed 720p HDTV, the latter is not that bad, plus BD has maybe too much grain - or it's due to JPG compression? - and dirt...
What do you think, folks?
Thanks for the link to the review; it seems video quality is not the best - I watched the small chuncks on youtube, and dust & dropouts seems to be still there, like in the DVD and HDTV, so the master used should be the same...
But the DTS-MA 5.1 track could be interested, plus I'm really curious to watch the new featurette... we'll see when it's out.
Maybe the latter will be useful, in the case I'll work on the extra disc!

With this poor display, surely I will not be able to discern the difference between the two versions, but I'm sure whichever will be the one chosen, it will be a good one! And, the fact that will be called just V2.2 will avoid some confusion!
