Star Wars GOUT in HD using super resolution algorithm (* unfinished project *)
Time

@DrDre: I noted you are using a different source now... it has a little bit more details on top, bottom and right sides, while in the left side it has a small black borders, and it seems to have more details, too...

May you use this small clip with your SR v3? Frame 11 or 12 will do! It's taken from the PAL DVD - I know NTSC DVD is better, but I have not it now...

I have all the original 6 Sky captures

That's great!!!

According to mediainfo data posted by Jetrell Fo, it seems quality is not that bad, to be an HDTV broadcast... may you add some comment on their overall video quality?

I happen to enjoy them like dvdmike does.  The frame rate needs to be fixed for NTSC but other than that ..... I have everything up to Insurrection from Sky UK.

Is there any adjustment for substituting missing frames in one direction with additional frames (if available) in the other direction? That would nicely help shot changes and other frames near a change.

Just reverse the video, apply the SuperResolution filter, reverse again, and merge the two results (normal, and reversed-reversed), or, if you are really patient, replace the eventual frames before/after the scene change, accordingly to which is the best - but you must be totally crazy to do this by hand! (^^,) ...but if you can find an automated way, though...

Info: Are HDTV versions better than Blu-ray?
Time

About '97 SE: AFAIK, there is GKAR, and at least another one is mine, the RAI version, sadly cropped (as it showed at around 2:1) and recorded with a DVD recorder connecte to a DTT decoder through a SCART connector... not very good quality - in comparison to today standards - but at the time it was a non-plus-ultra setup! ...at least I have a quite good audio track in Italian!
