I just hope all the new films, spin offs included are not hastily thrown together rush jobs.
All the other films took 3 years each to produce.
Maybe its possible since Disney has enough money and a huge studio that Lucas did not have.
I almost don't buy that though since Lucas was and is worth billions.

They won't even say who the characters are. Or if its a film based on one of the new characters from The Force Awakens.
Paramount has no desire to revisit the films. Only Star Trek II ever got a restoration and will likely remain the only film given the treatment.
The money it costs is not worth the limited number of sales that would be generated as most were happy with the already released sets.
Wish i was wrong about Trek getting a decent release on blu ray as far as the films go.
Would love to see Deep Space Nine and Voyager again, in true HD.
Not going to happen i know TNG was a big expense.
As much as i would like a retro classic Bond, with a harder edge it won't happen. I don't think the screenwriters can balance the charm and wit along with the violence.
Would be interesting to see Craig try to pull it off though.

No the Christie Golden Sword of the Jedi trilogy was never written or what ever was finished was never published. When Disney bought Star Wars a lot of novels post Return of the Jedi were cancelled.
The newest EU continuity was to fill in the era between fate of the jedi and the legacy comics.

The stuff i want to read is a making of book, a comics adaptation and a novelization. No word on any of these happening.
I like that my days of having to collect it are over. I put plenty of money into bad comics and bad novels just to enjoy some new stories.
Looking back most of it has not aged well, i was a different person in high school and very forgiving of bad tie in fiction.
While the Zahn trilogy is not great fiction or great science fiction, its very readable official fanfiction. I would say 90% of the rest could be sent to the wood chipper.
Does anyone else feel that the next Star Trek will be the last with the current cast.
I get a sense some of the actors may want to move on.
How Boba Fett bests Han Solo in Scoundrels. Only to make Fett seem cool.
I liked the book well enough until he was in it.
Those Han Solo books by Daley were fine without Fett or the Empire.
I liked the variant Alex Ross cover for Princess Leia #1 but its Return of the Jedi Luke and Vader. Has nothing to do with Leia and wrong movie,lol.
Only thing i did not like is i wish Ross got Hamill's likeness circa 1983 better.
On the other hand the super exclusive and ridiculous priced variants really piss me off. I am not paying close to 50 dollars for a comic book just for its cover art not even for Alex Ross. That is close to what i paid for Marvel Star Wars first issue first print from 77.
As much as people wish for a rebooted EU this is not that. Star Wars is all one Canon now.
It will be a huge task to manage it all so it works all together. All Star Wars and its forms of media.
The legends stuff is in the past and they are not going to write or publish any more of those set after Return of the Jedi.

If Disney had done the smart thing and made the nuEU non-canon like the Star Trek EU, I wouldn't be having any problem with these writing decisions as they'd all be self-contained and have little to no impact on other stories written in the future. As it, though, I'm seeing the nuEU shaping up to be another clusterfuck of poor ideas just like the old EU was.
I agree with you. The new first person Luke Skywalker novel is terrible. I don't have the luxury of saying its EU it won't matter later.

For comprehension i suppose i could bold and underline that i want new stuff, bold and original thought provoking science fiction.

I would like more intelligent Science Fiction films be produced. But they don't make many because you cannot sell action figures with them or make them a videogame spinoff.

It is ridiculous that Marvel is reprinting AL Williamson's Empire Strikes Back comic under the remastered label with redone colors.
Even the cover is awful, it has the 2004 Emperor. Not the original 1980 Emperor. The cover art is very badly done in general and is certainly not the original done by AL.
Is the emperor shown or not shown in the comics?
The only way for it to mirror the original movie is for him to be hidden and remote. Not the Big bad Sith Lord Sidious. Calling everyone over hologram.

Hoping Mark Hamill really is not in it for only 2 minutes or whatever. Or i will only see it once.
I could complain about EA-Bioware not releasing any DLC for dragon age inquisition or fully patching the game but its EA, buyer beware.
After Dragon age II and Mass Effect 3 you have to expect this stuff, besides the fact that all their games still have glitches and framerate problems at least on the xbox 360.
As for companies moving all the content into DLC and online co-op that is where the money is.
The reprise of the throne room end title was good i suppose, but the shot having to echo star wars or rhyme was unnecessary.
Owen and Beru looking young and optimistic was interesting though.
They don't look like old world weary grandparents.
Hopefully the new movies won't have any prequelisms, its a possibility considering them being in rebels and the comics.
Vader just being a henchman and not the whole Saga's focus is a bit more in tune with the original film. Unfortunately it also pretends those other movies all five of them never happened.
Vader becoming popular and turning out to be Luke father in Empire strikes back shifted the whole orbit of the original series.
The whole wouldn't it be interesting if Luke was not the central character what if it was Vader's story. I used to think it was a prequel conception now i am not so sure it did not begin with Empire.
The Luca$ thing was what i would have used to say, along with Lazy Lucas was Lazy.
I am very much indifferent now that Di$ney owns star wars.
The one directed by Filoni and written by Kinberg was the most prequel like of all the episodes.
That or it was a bizarre mixture of prequel, oot and McQuarrie.
I know Filoni enjoys all these throwbacks to clone wars and the Lucas prequels but i don't appreciate them in what is supposedly an original trilogy style series.
I can't talk about the worst visual elements and story without spoiling the plot nor can i say what i liked without spoiling it.
I liked that it erased Force Unleashed.
Interesting that they held the last episode of the season and did not let it be on demand early. It had to air first because of spoilers.
