So when does Disney's Marvel actually get star wars, when Does DH contract run out.
I mean they go through all this effort of rebooting the comic with the old trilogy characters and in a couple years what Marvel will be doing the adaptation for episode 7?
I know its all speculation but what does Disney gain by keeping Dark horse Star Wars if they already own Marvel.
So 1996 when they altered and did not restore the films. One year after episode 7 comes out that will have been 20 years without a restoration of the real oot. I mean 2013 is the 30th anniversary for Return of the Jedi, time is becoming precious.
Are any of these deleted scenes on the blu rays? I am of course not talking about the altered cuts to remove violence or the silly new audio dubs tv versions do.

Not sure As i have the Pan and Scan disc with the analog theatrical. You must have the letterboxed when they added the digital audio feature. I would not be surprised however if there was a pan and scan release in Japan with the digital audio.
As to why the mix is the way it is i cannot guess as i am no expert.
This is not like how they redid Fistful of Dollars is it? I hated the new 5.1 mix it was crap. The only time i ever got to hear the real mix was on some fan edit or something that recobbled the original Italian cut and mono mix of that cut in Italian as well as English.
THE US cut was never on DVD only VHS, i am not even sure it got a laserdisc release and if it did it was pan and scan like the vhs and cut like the US release was always.
I wish there was a restored USA blu ray of the Japan cut from 1984 with English subtitles and a commentary track like Criterion does, but i doubt it will happen i doubt that the sales of the Godzilla blu rays are enough for anyone to pick up the rights.
I also hope it means Indiana Jones V is nixed, but i can only hope.
Funny Thing seeing as how Orci says he is a fan of the novels star trek final frontier and best destiny that show more of a true version of a prequel of sorts.
They changed the story from the true origins to be marketable, they did the job paramount wanted. The trekkies let star trek enterprise get cancelled anyway in 2004, and let nemesis bomb.
Also how much similar the JJ version is to the Top Gun trek that Harve Bennett tried to get made, i mean the idea of doing younger versions of the original series cast was proposed before and rejected.
Trekkers and Trekkies drew a line in the sand and wanted Rick Berman gone, and into that vacuum steps Abrams.
I mean its like when Meyer, Bennett and Nimoy took Trek away from Roddenberry and the day will come when someone replaces JJ too.

I wonder if the non miami versions of building and jedi are even still on myspleen. Never mind if they are NTSC or whether or not they are DVD5 or DVD9. Plus begins and Building and Jedi are not updated with the real deleted scenes from the blu ray.
They are what was available at the time. A sort of time capsule as i believe Jambe remarked, he has no plan to revisit them as far as i know.
Sorry i cannot help with the DVD's as i have the old version of building empire in PAL format and at this point it probably is not copyable. Never did get a snail mail copy of begins i had a 400 mb avi that i have long since deleted.
Returning to Jedi i do have but it is not a true NTSC version, its the tricked disc version not a true pal to ntsc conversion.
My experience is the opposite BKev Batman Dark Knight Rises DLP was inferior to the film print it sucked.
Perhaps it was the projector bulb at fault but never paying for dlp in that particular theater again if they have it on film.
The blu ray image is miles ahead of the DLP projection i saw that is pathetic.
Looks and sounds like the generic trailer on the laserdisc and not like the rarer President's day weekend one that is on the DVD.
And i assume the youtube video is taken from the laserdisc as well because the quality is abysmal, if slightly better than the archived versions from the star wars site if anyone still has them.
No place in existence has any of the trailers special edition or original in blu ray quality high definition. And seeing as such official versions don't exist, people only have what Lucasfilms furnished them with or fan made recreations.
I know considering we did not even get the real versions of the films on blu ray expecting them to have the trailers is asking for a lot.
Thorr as a fan is obviously scanning a print and restoring a trailer in HD, my comments are no slight on that work only that Lucasfilms is so lazy.
Making the star wars prequels solely for monetary gain was a sellout thing to do, not making those other non star wars or indiana jones pictures and making only safe sound business ventures was also a sellout thing for a so called maverick anti Hollywood guy.
He is a great businessman, his value as an artist once he started making Hollywood style films with star wars and not making those types of films he would have made at Zoetrope that never happened is a matter of opinion.
Personally despite my hatred of the special editions and the prequels i am happy how things turned out minus the selling of Lucasfilm to Di$ney.
Had he directed Apocalypse Now and it had bombed he may have never directed again and star wars would not exist.
The advances in film technology, cgi, digital sound and editing either would not have happened. Unless someone else did it.

To me that is good news. Now how about a restored oot cinema release not on dlp but actual film, to be followed up by the episode 7 premiere.
The whole Whill subplot was dropped from revenge of the sith. They taught Qui gon how to join with the force and he teached yoda who then teached kenobi.
They never really developed it too much but i was under the impression they were spirit beings and not Midi-Clorians.
Probably a good idea it was dropped though just like young Han Solo and the Emperor being Anakin's father.
It always seemed a tad convenient that Vader turned out to be Luke's father in Empire.
I mean long before Leia was decided to be the sister of Luke at the last minute on the set of Jedi.
Never mind the status of a blu ray release of the oot, what is the current actual condition of the negative itself. And how long before it is gone forever and all they have is the 2004 master stuck at regular HD 1080P resolution.
I mean supposedly the sep masters were incorrectly done so you cannot make a new negative from them, and falling back on the IP's as a source is possible for blu ray release, but not to restore the film for a true restoration they must return to the original camera negative.
Has this show ever been aired in native HD, i mean like not upscaled like theHub does with shows?
The odds of it ever being released on blu ray are probably zero.

Han was like Clint Eastwood in the original.
No Need to Moralize the scene for kiddies, like Luca$ undid the blaster marks on some of the stormtroopers in the SE.
The thing is Leo Decaprio made the right choice the prequels would have done nothing for his career.
And unless he had some role in re-crafting the horrible dialogue or having a replacement for Portman so there would be some actual chemistry between the actors, then he was right to not do the second 2 prequels.
Hayden is about as good as really bad soap actors, good kid bad actor.
Wrong choice for Anakin. In fact i think Fred Roos was a much better casting director. Robin Gurland stinks imho.
Alex Ross is supposed to be a big Alex Raymond fan yet his art really does not evoke Raymond like Williamson's does.
I really miss Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson. To me they were star wars comics. While to others Chaykin was.
Too many cheap movies and tv shows are done in Canada. New Zealand is lord of the rings and hobbit used.

I hated that Episodes II used tracked in music from episode I rather than what was written for the film. That music is still unreleased.
While every single one of the old dubs is available on japan dvd except for kiki, including the old dub for castle of cagliostro. None have been carried over to the blu ray.
The Japan blu ray for cagliostro has no dub or subtitle. The Europe releases are all the new dub and probably the dubtitles.
I wish i could watch the blu rays with the older dubs but that is not going to happen.
The so called JAL mamo dub apparently was an in house dub by TOHO, the same people who did the godzilla dubs that are not currently available right?
Wherever they get tax incentives to make it cheaper probably. Hopefully not Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
Although maybe some filmed in England on sound stages, not sure if they are still there after all these years.
I mean the full intact stages they filmed the originals on.
