i like the original pilot with the deaf sister better than the retooled one.

the first pilot involved one of the creators of space above and beyond glen morgan who has since left the project.

the only thing i liked about the pilot that aired was starbuck from the new galactica, LOL

the story and plot were rather weak hopefully the show improves as time goes by.

i thought i would be hard to find a show worse written and more incoherent than the new flash gordon until this show, LOL.

Journeyman, heroes and bionic woman is the best nbc can muster.

as for the sci fi channel once razor airs and galactica season 4 is over their is not much to stick around for. the new flash gordon and season 4 of atlantis, hahaha, lol sci fi gets owned.

i hardly think pullman's god is the father of jesus christ and and spiritual author of the gospels as well as creator of the earth and heavens if a little girl can kill him. LOL yeah right so is this like pullmans admitting to being gay or something?

i find this change to the scene extremely silly especially now that lucas has the 1-6 order of watching the films we know who lukes father is even before episode IV. lame.

ruins the 2 best oot films star wars and the empire strikes back no surprise since lucas says they don't exist anymore despite the contrary evidence on a crappy gout bonus discs.

even funnier when this scene was shot the skywalker jedi who was killed by darth vader was the real story and vader was not the daddy, LOL. despite the lying lucas has done through the years and leia was not the sister.

red leaders scene is still intact in the storybook, the original bubble gum cards, the novelization, and marvel comic book. hell Lucas is a big time wrecker of continuity he puts the oot trilogy novels as cannon and rotj still has obi wan as owen lars brother. he never bothered to have the scenes in the books rewritten or the books entirely rewritten except as junior novelizations and those suck the big one the ones released in 2004.

i still hold the 00t cannon and the novels in high regard and claim the prequels as we have them now as non cannon since the original outlines were cannon and fit the oot trilogy and lucas saw fit to change them.

the red leader scene as well as a few others were shown at a convention in 1996 i think by sansweet and even then lucas had the scene altered by removing the dialogue red leader speaks. their was a cam copy up online somewhere and now happens to be taken down. the tatooine scenes have also been truncated as ocpmovie has mentioned in deleted magic based on david west reynolds review of the lost black and white rough cut and color dailies.

i find star wars so much better if i deny the prequels existence and deny all eu novels starting with sacrifice.

never knew that about pullman never read the books only thought the trailer for golden compass was really cool.

now i shall have to go and boycott the books and the movie if they are anti christian because i am not for that in any way.

Tolkien and c.s. lewis are 2 of my favorite authors precisely because they were god believing christians.

to me it is utter blasphemy hollywood is remaking enter the dragon.

the only one who should have been allowed to do a remake was his son brandon lee. since he is dead leave the material alone.

Game of death should have never been released with a different actor than bruce and crappy edit job and story changed from his concept. hollywood just cashed in on bruce's death. i don't even consider it a bruce lee movie at all, it is so bad as to be in the vein of a bruce li film.

they should recut to follow bruce lees intent or make sure it never was released.

the film documentary warriors journey gives a taste as to what the real game of death movie could have been.

the piss poor treatment and dvd releases in america are also suspect. none of his films got a decent release until the remastered edition of enter the dragon. a lot of the releases are inferior to the chinese releases of the films the subtitles are inaccurate and even the picture quality is less. some releases have even been cut or only have the english dub track and dubtitles.

yes the hong kong legends set is the best and i want to get it. quite expensive i might add.

the elstones of shannara and magic kingdom for sale by terry brooks by 2 different studios.


plus you got sword of truth and a song of ice and fire for mini series on hbo.

the first sword of truth novel is being helmed by spider man veteran sam raimi and is called wizards first rule.

I have heard that some studio bought the rights to robert jordans wheel of time series as well.

don't feel bad Lan i too believe that the movie based on christopher paolini's first novel Eragon was crap.

the film was so bad indeed one wish's it had never even reached the silver screen. even with the deluxe 2 disc dvd with deleted scenes and a faneditor could the movie be salvaged. the movie should have been more like lord of the rings and less than a film a bit too late to cach in on its success.

if the inheritance trilogy got the same treatment as the harry potter series it could have been good.

funny how publicly he came out and supported the movie one wonders how the young author could have and how much money they gave him.

the first movie was so terribly miscast and the effects were crap, and the music, and the script and the film flopped that eldest will probably not get made. you had nothing really mentioned in the film like the invented language that paolini did and the first since tolkien to do so.

i cannot wait for the third book in the inheritance trilogy since it will be probably the authors first truly polished novel and adult effort. the first book was kind of a high school kids fanfic and attempt at tolkien and mcaffrey, rippoff and the second was a sophomore effort.

thank god new line got the rights to the wonderful trilogy by phillip pullman of golden compass trilogy.

plus walden media with disney and weta are doing a great job on the narnia films.

i can only hope that terry brooks first film based on his book elfstones is good.

the hobbit had better be an mgm/newline/weta co production with peter jackson at least as exec producer if not director so the cast will be on board. nobody should play gandalf but ian mckellen.

the only things this series really had going for it were good writers Like Haden Blackman from dark horse who wrote a lot of the republic comics set in the clone wars era that were superior in almost every way to the prequels.

plus rob coleman and animators working on something like this is what they should have been doing in the first place. more of the prequels should have been shot live action and traditionally than cgi fakery.


the artists and animators who worked on the prequels did phenomenal work, it is not their fault that lucas is a terrible writer. the storyboard artists were clearly inspired by mcquarrie even though by episode II were working in an entirely digital medium.

some of the more inspired concepts did not make it into the films because of either budgetry constraints or they were simply too sci fi and unlike star wars.

the story for instance in the first kotor game was better than the prequels were. lucas cannot write but terribly yet he is surrounded by friends and employees who are clearly wonderful writers. they should have been writing the prequels.

the novelizations of the prequels while not perfect have a humanity to them that the films do not. Terry Brooks tryed his damndest to get the original trilogy flavor in episode 1 novel and while mostly failed did a better job than lucas, he was able to connect anakins story to lukes in a way lucas could not.

i have a feeling that had joseph campbell lived even he would have seen the prequels as nothing but video games. computers clealrly allowed lucas to get lazy something he could not get away with in 1973 when he first put pencil to paper.

if the prequels are more like lucas original concept for star wars than what he ended up with as he says then had he been able to make those movies back then (the oot) with todays technology they would have been flops.

i had the dual layer of jedi yet gave it away in a trade like a dumbass because i had the gout, LOL


either ocpmovie does a decent dual layer version of a new hope aka a 3.0 or i have to wait for pauls vintage edit.

cannot wait for his finished dual layer trilogy as sourced from the gout and HD versions of the 2004. plus the possibility of a v2 of empire.

well what can't lucas ruin, i mean he ruined THX 1138, he ruined Star Wars and now he going to ruin Indiana Jones. somebody please make him stop!

even sean connery could smell this movie as a turkey from a mile away, he had the good fortune to turn it down. i hope this film does not hurt fords legacy or his winding down career.

at least j.k. rowling has had an intimate involvement with the adaptation of her books into films. she even got to have input as to what director and actors would be in the movies.

i have heard she even gets say on final cut.

the tolkien estate had no control over the lord of the rings movies and i don't blame christopher tolkien for divorcing himself from those films which have almost nothing to do with the book it was based on.

As for Lucas while he remained in control of his baby and creation star wars he ruined it himself.

maybe having 100% control on a project and almost limitless funds is not a good thing.

well enterprise had an 8 year plan and was cancelled after 4.

Lucas is probably still mad at the networks for their handling and cancelling of young indy so he wants them to guarantee him control and no cancellation or the networks from dictating story changes.

star wars has been ruined by lucas and its reputation has been tarnished by the prequels and special editions and lucas overiding greed.

Back in the 80's or during the mid 90's star wars revival any network would have killed for a cartoon or live action show based on the original trilogies characters.

i don't blame networks for not buying a series set in the prequels era and crap cgi animation.

they should have done a live action series or cartoon series with luke, han, Leia. lucas shot himself in the foot by not doing the sequel movies anyway. he should have done episode 7 and forgot the prequels.

he also should have used traditional techniques and not fake cg.

those tfn gushers will love the cgi video game crap clone war show and live action. lucas has already ruined continuity with the prequels and 2004 special editions as well as force unleashed. he even ruined the eu by his jealousy of zahn and killing off a character he did not create, the writers wanted to kill off luke so he had them kill mara instead. kinda like he made them kill anakin solo because he did not want 2 anakins in star wars because of confusion.

not only has he killed the oot and what was good in the eu and the video games, but becuase of his ruining of star wars the value of the original trilogy collectibles is now lowered. if i sold my star wars marvel issue #1 before the prequels and special editions i could have gotten 60 bucks for it easy, now i be lucky to find someone willing to pay 20 dollars for it.

The networks have a right for first refusal since he sold them a pig in a poke with star wars holiday special and young indy. he even misleadingly used john williams music on the promo he made to sell young indy to the networks. he lied they thought they were getting an action adventure series not a bad lucas rewriting of history from a dude who gots d's in school.

i will boycott force unleashed and indiana jones IV until i get the oot in anamorphic remastered and a kotor III.

i got my crappy 2006 gout and lucas is not getting another dime from me. i also boycotted the eu novels and refuse to buy any after the fiasco of sacrifice.

the legacy comics and kotor comics are also crap in comparison to what dark horse has done in the past.

time for star wars to go away for a good long while the market is saturated and it is not good, kinda overly done like trek. all Lucas has to do is make a decent dvd or HD transfer of the oot and i will keep those films in my library and remember the good old days of fandom prior to the phantom menace or crappy 1997 and 2004 trilogies.

Lucas quit caring about star wars in 1983 after his divorce the only reason he made the prequels is for money because he knows he is a one trick poney. business man sells creative soul to the devil to get rich and then prostitutes and bastardizes original creation only for profit.

now all they have to do is make a documentary called "the wrecking of star wars from 1994 -to 2006"

it would encompass the horrible writing of the prequels, the horrible bastardization and butchering of the oot called the special editions, the three crappy movies called prequels and top it off with a 1993 state of the art laserdisc non anamorphic transfer of the oot in 2006.

star wars trilogy r.i.p 1977-1983.
