Star Wars prequel Box set
Time
Yeah, I agree with SpecialEditions. How many of those would fly off the shelves? Seriously tho, unless GL actually puts out the REAL original trilogy the way it *should* be released I doubt anything Star Wars will ever fly off shelves again. What a funny world. The most popular movies of all time are not available in a modern format. Ludicrous.

How do I get people to like me?
Time
This thread title is gold. Brought a smile to my face. So, I like you, SeanWookie, for thinking it up, lol.
And Canada is cool. I've never had anything against it. I'm American and have always found it funny that some Americans have this strange idea that Canada is not so good, or some crazy idea like that. Americans are the funny ones, eh?
We get so defensive and violent over stupid shit, instead of just chilling out. What could be our problem? My great-grandmother was Canadian, so maybe my blood has been contaminated by the Canadian way of thinking. Shit, I must be off my rocker.

SUPERMAN RETURNS REVIEW
Time
I did NOT like this movie. It'll be a shame if it's boxed with the others (even considering the throwaway quality of 3 & 4) when it comes out in a super set this fall. The movie had no wit and energy. The characters were like cardboard cut outs. And the story was BOR-RING. I think it's cool that Bryan Singer tries to help new, young talent get their feet wet, but maybe he should look into more whether they are actually talented, and can WRITE worth a fuck. And if he does think they can write, which I guess is obviously the case by this time and history with them, I am worried. At least the Spidey movies are decent. Modern blockbusters BLOW!

Is anyone gonna write a good story for a movie anymore that is acted well enough to make people care? Hollywood can suck it!

Why the PT fans love the PT so much, not as diehard as we think
Time
Well, I dont know about these young kids idolizing Anakin. However, when i was little, during the time of the OT, my favorite character was Darth Vader. Plus I was a girl, so I don't know what I was thinking exactly, but I think it may have to do with little kids wanting to be powerful. I've heard it described before too. From the age of around 3-5 I liked Darth Vader the best, then after that I moved on to Luke, Leia and Han being my faves. Little kids desire power because they don't have any, and are dependent on everyone else for everything practically in their lives.

And I recently rediscovered Superman. I watched 1 and 2 when they came on tv as a kid, and enjoyed them, but they never really got to me, I think. Now after watching especially 1, I feel like it's a treasure I never realized before. I consider it one of the great blockbusters, and there really are so few of those ever made.

PT Bashing? What brought it back?
Time

And the big whopper, why does these morons find The Original Star Wars from 1977 meh? That is a topic on TF.n, and ALOT of the PT gushers agree, and that really drives me nuts, cause that tells me there are watching it all for effects and action. And fans who do that will move on to the next CG flavor of the month movie.

They're idiots, and not fans of the original Star Wars trilogy.

Moving in from the Basher's Sanctuary (TF.n)
Time
It's absolutely crazy that original Star Wars fans are not considered good enough for tf.n, and are ostricized for trying to keep the real thing alive. Those new schoolers are what Star Wars is to them now. They just don't get it or acknowledge it in a major way. I'm much happier over here where people actually know what Star Wars is, AND appreciate it! That site is a laughing stock and a mess. I didn't get banned. I just left, except for visiting my city club board there, since I am a part of it. I just have no desire to get into anything with them, since they're obviously unflinchingly deluded and plan to stay that way. All other relations with tf.n I have utterly cut off. What a joke that place is. It's like how there's Bambi II now. It went straight to video. Forget about Bambi, there's the masterwork of Bambi II now!

10 Other Things That Han Shot That Didn't Shoot At Him First
Time
Okay, I just had the pleasure of seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark on an awesome big screen in an old, cool theatre in the Castro of San Francisco last night. And it was a new 35mm print! Could see Indy's reflection in the glass. Let me say, it ruled!
Harrison in many ways plays Solo and Indy the same way a lot of times. The scene with the saber waver in the market-place is one such scene. Greedo was ONLY pointing his gun at Han. And the saber waver meant no harm, he was ONLY demonstrating his peacable saber twirling in jest. Imagine if Lucas (he can't now, can he?) altered THIS magnificent moment of comedic, but violent, joy by having Indy NOT shoot the guy! The very idea. IT'S THE SAME FREAKING THING THO!

The Most Boring Commentator Ever
Time
I can't listen to too many commentary tracks. It's too much of a time obligation. I wish I did have the time for good ones, or funny ones tho. I liked one that was put together for the Star Wars classic DVDs. On Star Wars someone's talking about seeing Star Wars for the first time with all the Lucas employees, and that after they'ed seen it, it was an amazing feeling, because it was really good, and no one had realized that was the movie they had all worked on. It wasn't recognizable until the first viewing. Makes me want to go watch Star Wars with that in mind.
