Hi all, any info is greatly appreciated! Also, if possible don’t flame me too much… 😃
In N/A, Annie (1982) was released 2 times on BR in the past year or two.
From what I’ve read, there was a 70mm 6-track print of Annie (1982) and the 1st BR release is missing some sound effects. See here and here.
Does anyone know if any DVD/HD-DVD/HDTV/BR versions retain the 70mm 6-track sound? I may be able to check if I know what to look.
Please note, I haven’t heard anything regarding the more recent Target-specific release of Annie (1982) BR.
Thanks and cheers!
Edit: A post from long ago in this subforum also mentions this. From what I understand ‘Dolby Stereo’ != ‘6-track’ audio.
Hi fellow 2001 ASO fans!
I've seen this movie countless times (via SD TV, DVD, & BR).
Does anyone know if any HDTV 2001 ASO broadcasts have the audio panning in-tact?
For the 2001 ASO BR video, what are some major differences (if any) that can easily be spotted? I've read that the space suits are a different shade in the BR, however the DVD Beaver screen-shots look fine.
Regarding the audio, there is a Disclord post on QQ that confirms the panning on the original DVD and the remix for the BR. http://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/showthread.php?15100-quot-2001-a-Space-Odyssey-quot-Laserdisc-Criterion-Box-set-GREAT-SURROUND
Hi all, 1st post here. This forum and thread are very informative, thank you!
Others are probably more knowledgeable, however I'm looking for to gain karma points and if anyone has questions about PC-based digital audio/video editing/delay/encoding/multiplexing, PM me. Please note, I don't have a LD player, LD's, or knowledge of SPDIF or demodulators.
Also, I'm looking and still haven't found it, however it would be great to have a list of films (perhaps made since ~2000) that never had a DVD/HD-DVD/BR release with original (or very close to it) theatrical sound.
Cheers!
Edit: This thread (mentioned previously) has more details on DTS soundtracks not yet released.
Also, in case anyone missed this mentioned previously, the JP BR DTS may be good. http://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/showthread.php?15135-Jurassic-Park-Blu-ray-amp-Original-Audio
