STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Yes. He sounds very PO'ed when he says "Bring My shuttle".

And the SE dialogue sounds like it was recorded in a tin box.

edit

When I first saw ESB SE in theatres I seriously thought the new line was done by the voice of Vader for the SW radio plays, Brock Peters. But Lucasfilm said it was James Earl Jones.

Oh cool. Yeah, the landing platform one is cool.

If there were a way to have the musical cues match up better in the cut, then I'd wouldn't complain about Vader's shuttle to Executor.

If the score blends better. Right now the ESB SE is too choppy with it.

I think the SE Vader's shuttle to Executor is just 2 shots.

Might not hurt things.

But does it really add anything?

Seriously, beyond seeing the shuttle go to the actual ship, is it worth the addition.

Part of the problem I have with many of the SE changes were things Lucas went way overboard with in the Prequels, namely fx shots of ships zipping back and forth and landing. After awhile, it loses the human element and becomes boring.

That's why I went off in the prequel thread about prequel landing shots. Show us something different for once George. Can you maybe show Anakin and Padme landing and Geonosis and maybe looking at each other? Something different.

Instead, he used fx as a storytelling crutch too many times.

But anyway....back to ESB:R

Again, having recently studied both takes, with and without this SE addition, I feel that this addition is minimal and subtle enough that it doesn't detract from the flow established in the film at this point. The 'Falcon-Tie Fighters' chase hasn't started yet, so it doesn't clutter that sequence, and I feel that it makes the transition from 'Vader-on-Bespin' to 'Vader-on-Executor' more palatable, whereas before (due to the time apart from seeing Vader) it was slightly sudden when he appeared on the bridge of the Executor.

I have to respectfully disagree. They chopped the score up with the new cuts for one. Secondly, when Vader says "bring my shuttle", we know where he's headed and it aint on vacation.

And Vader disembarking from the shuttle.......did Lucas really think we wouldn't spot Jerjerrod at the bottom of the ramp?

And the shuttle landing scene takes way too much time and completely disrupts the flow of the Falcon-Tie chase...and the music behind it.

See....intense chase...chase, chase, intesity, music swelling, slow ROTJ outtake, chase ,chase, intensity rebuilding.

I'm going to get behind bingowings suggestion that Maul and Greivous = the same person.

If done correctly( a tall order I agree) it will strengthen the entire PT narrative IMHO.

edit

What if Mustafar is a hideout for the Sith and the buildings and everything are sithy?

Sidious could send the seperatists to hide on what they think is a safe haven, his own hideout.

Nah. He'll pull a Lucas SW SE and let the finished Jabba scene sit on the shelf after it was finished at the end of 95, despite advancements from Dragonheart and other movies to make it look better.

The original SE Jabba animator, Steve Williams, asked George over and over if he could adjust it in '96 to take advantage of the new advancements in lip animation, namely the Cari software developed for Dragonheart.

Gee, I kinda went off on a tangent there didn't I?

That idea sounds very cool. Maybe add some sith trappings to the background.

It would be like, as you said, a sith temple in space. His home away from home.

Damn, what we could do with ROTJ.

Remember that art by McQuarrie and Johnston showing Vader's temple surrounded by lava?

This reminds me a bit of Ridley Scott's Legend.

Oh the straight walls you don't like behind him.

Well you could always do the angle thing. It would create some additional uneasiness in the viewers. Better yet, just have a black void behind him with a beam or something.

Make it creepy.

I remember being creeped out when I first saw monkey emperor back in '80.
