I also thought that the Mandalorian Super commandos would have been the clones . They were described in the Empire Strikes Back novelization as a group of evil warriors defeated by the Jedi Knights during the clone wars .Since the novel was “official” , I presumed this was a hint at what the prequels would be .

ah , that is one in a series of pastiche novels , Robert E. Howard , the creator of Conan only wrote one novel length Conan tale called The Hour Of The Dragon and numerous short stories in the early 1930’s for the pulp magazine Weird Tales . there is a collected edition I encourage you to seek out , the tales are far superior and I am willing to bet will get you hooked http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33482.The_Coming_of_Conan_the_Cimmerian

this is AWESOME !!! flows very well and makes me want to see the movie again and yet keeps a lot of surprises unrevealed . nice job pulling it together from all the different sources . looks great in full screen on my display .

I thought the backstory from the original movie novelizations were going to be all true , that Uncle Owen and Ben Kenobi were brothers , I thought we would see the Jedi fighting scores of Mandalorian Super commando’s , I also thought the Jedi would wear a uniform like the black one Luke had in Return Of The Jedi .I thought Ben Kenobi would help Luke and Leia’s mother hide the children and she would live as well .I also thought Anakin would actually have started out a a navigator on a spice freighter and that is how he would meet Kenobi .I also thought they would be good friends as stated in the original movie and not the bickering we see in the prequels . The Clone Wars animated series fixes that relationship to a degree , and I think it was a great show , I just wish the Movies had done it .

started watching Stranger Things On Netflix, I am child of the late 70s and early 80s and the show gives me the feels big time . The kids on the show give an accurate portrayal of early 80s childhood .

Thank you for your reply Ronster , it is one of my favorite films as well , it does take inspiration from the stories of Robert E. Howard such as A Witch Shall Be Born which it lifts the crucifixion scene from as well as Tower Of The Elephant in the scene where they infiltrate the tower , However ,in Howard’s Conan ,he is never taken as a slave from his homeland as a child and leaves Cimmeria out of wanderlust and of his own free will. I wanted to make an edit that skews a little closer to Howard’s vision and make it like an old time silent movie and gave it a sepia tone and dust , grain and scratches for an oldworld feel of the hyborian age . For the first seven minutes or so , I merged some of the scenes of Conan as a youth from both the 1982 movie and the 2011 reboot to flesh out the narrative . And I thought Jason Momoa did a good turn as Conan as well ,he just needed a better script and direction , but I am Just partial to the original as I grew up with it and have seen it hundreds of imes . I love it as is , but wanted to share a new take on it .

my two cents on worst characters…Jaxxon Jax and Hirog the Hiromi from the original Marvel comics run . I love those old comics but the run was book ended by some awful characters in the end .
