I'm so confused...
I'm so confused...
Huh?

Thats for all your support guys. It has been really helpful.
Unfortunately Mum passed away in the early hours of this morning. She died peacefully in here sleep which we are thankful that in her last hours she felt no pain. It's hit us all really hard but i have to remain strong for the rest of the family. It is likely that i won't be around for the foreseeable future while we make all the arrangements and everything else that needs to be done
Thoughts and prayers for you and your family, Ady.

Thanks guys:)
Things took a turn for the worse and the doctors have moved her to a private room and told us that there is nothing more they can do for her. She's being pumped full of morphine and is slipping away fast. I'm just preying for a miracle. So i'm sitting here with a bottle of southern comfort getting totally hammered. Sorry if i don't rely to anyone's questions or suggestions for a while
Drinking is no way to deal with it.
Still, very sorry about what's going on. My thoughts are with you and your family.
What happened to that holophonic sound idea?

How about these ones: (just right click>"view image" to see them full size)
Those are great, too. The helmet looks a bit off in the upper-right one, but to use the upper portion of the upper left one, or all of the bottom one (though that would take extraordinarily difficult cutting) could also look great.

I needed a full body shot without a lightsaber not from a video game in high quality. (Original Size is 2200x3400) If you can find another one, let me know.
Well..... it's not full body, and I think it's from Force Unleashed, but it's VERY intimidating nonetheless and could be made to work very well, in my opinon:

Ady, how did you make the new Emperor hologram? It looks like entirely newly filmed footage, which is impossible, of course...
He used Footage from ROTJ's Emperor and the lip sync is from ROTS emperor.
WOW. It's seamless, that's amazing!

Looks awesome. Could've used a more intimidating picture of Vader, though.

Ady, any change to give to this off monitor some sublte light/life like the other monitors we see in this or other hoth scenes?
Also wondering if there is a way to make the panel box steady(like you did with the holo table) to look more solid. Now you can argue that they have too look cheap and fragile because the rebels were in rush but just saying...

Wow, with your posting of that screenshot, I just had a thought: What if the guy's (general's?) hand was digitally changed to not be on the chair, but on Leia's shoulder? Kind of a symbolism of sorts that the Rebellion is Leia's only family left (as far as she knows) because of the Empire. Might be stupid to some, but I think it could add much more personality and closeness to the Rebellion.
So I'm new to this in terms of edits being completed. How are they obtained? PM, fanedit.org...?

There's a lot of room for improvement here. My issue with it is that you've, figuratively speaking, just shown me EVERYTHING that happens in the movie. Nothing is left to the imagination. You've got lengthy clips from every duel in the film. It plays more like a scene from Star Wars: A Musical Journey than it does a real trailer. Tighten things up a bit and I promise it will go a long way.
The official trailer kind of gave everything away, too, so I didn't think it would be that big of a deal. I suppose that the duel clips are a bit long at first, though I tried to make the clips continually get shorter and shorter as DOTF got more intense.
I'm going to make trailers for the others in time using the same audio set-up (minus the part with all the talking, that will have music from the respective film being featured).
Only thing that has me wondering about a holophonic ESB (would this be the first 3D sound movie?) is the question of where the music will go.
Terrific idea! Anyone and everyone should listen to "Digital Barber Shop", but with your eyes closed and headphones! It's beyond freaky and cool.
Cool. :)
Is everyone in this thread going in the credits? O_O
Alright. Just thought I'd throw my idea out there, haha. :)

I haven't watched it in a while, but I believe that he's just adding all the text there at once, but if you watch it, there are video clips before the "22 Years Later" part. That may have been from the now dropped prologue, though, so...I'm not sure. ;)
"You throw names and terms at the audience right away that they have no way of understanding"
*cough*The Phantom Menace*cough* :p That's exactly how I felt sitting in the theater. I sure wasn't there to see some confusing political thing, but that's what I got!
Even some clips before "22 Years Later" can't possibly set up everything.
And just because the Phantom Menace was like that doesn't mean this Renascent project should be. In fact, isn't one of the purposes of this revisioning to help the prequels a bit?
I'm sorry to have all this critique so close to the project being done, just trying to help.

Turmoil had engulfed the Galactic Senate with several star systems having declared their intentions to leave the Republic through a Separatist movement led by the mysterious Count Dooku.
The Jedi Knights, guardians of peace and justice in the Galaxy, were
becoming overwhelmed. The Senate proposed creating a Grand Army of the Republic to assist them. Senator Amidala was returning to the Senate to vote on this critical issue.
22 Years Later
Rebel Starships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire and its ultimate weapon, the Death Star, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet.
Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her Starship, custodian to the stolen plans for the Death Star that can help ensure the safety of the Galaxy.
See, that's better, but if you want to treat this edit like a whole new version of Star Wars, something anyone could pick up and watch (instead of just Star Wars fans like us), you need a MUCH broader introduction than that. You throw names and terms at the audience right away that they have no way of understanding, and although I understand that you're trying to introduce the whole flashback concept immediately with that "22 Years Later" thing, a general audience would just be confused as heck, wondering where an Empire and some kind of Rebellion came from (even if you do show these facts later on).
My two cents, at least.
How different is the opening text? Because the original clip on Youtube had some grammar issues, if I remember correctly.
EDIT: Not Youtube, that first 2:30 on Megaupload in the main post. How much has that been changed? Because it wasn't much for an introduction to the whole saga.
EDIT 2:
Here is how I would change it (grammar/ease-of-understanding wise, not introduction-to-whole-galaxy wise):
Turmoil engulfed the Galactic Senate when several solar systems declared their intentions to leave the Galactic Republic itself, through a Separatist movement led by the mysterious, former Jedi warrior, Count Dooku.
Meanwhile, young Senator Padme Amidala, of the planet Naboo, returned to the Senate to vote on the critical issue of creating a Grand Army for the Republic, to assist the overwhelmed Jedi peace-keepers.
Twenty-two years later...
Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire.
Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia raced home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate space station of a weapon with enough power to destroy an entire planet. These plans were the galaxy's only hope to insure safety and peace once again....
Maybe those are too long, but they're clearer and the tense is kept the same.
Have you changed the opening you have posted in the main post at all?
Just had a thought while watching the Rancor scene in ROTJ on Spike.
When Luke is in that alcove with the door in the back of the Rancor's lair, it would be impossible for the crowd watching above to see him in there, yet instead of looking for him, they keep on cheering.
SO... what if instead of the crowd watching through a cage, they're watching a viewscreen on the floor showing what's going on inside the lair? It's not improbable for there to be cameras in the unseen areas of the lair, and it would make the scenes of the crowd watching a lot more interesting.
In my opinion, at least.

Are the other 720p files from a 30-year-old movie? ;)
Good point. haha

Was that rescue clip really full 720p?
yes, why?
It just didn't look as 720p-HD-ish as some other 720p files I have.
