STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Something i forgot to mention a few weeks ago was that when i went to Memorabilia in November there was a seller with my Revisited ANH for sale as a 2 disc set. Now strangely enough the second disc was supposed to be the bonus disc and was called "Deleted Magic: Revisited" and my Adywan logo had been taken out from the cover and replaced with "Orange Cow Productions" instead. Gotta say i was pissed off and reported the guy for selling bootlegs but they didn't seem to bothered about doing anything and i didn't want to kick up a fuss because i had my daughter and her 10 year old sister with us. Now i wasn't going to bother mentioning this but then i noticed that there is now a new version of Deleted magic with "Revisited" added in the title. This got me wondering, especially with a certain ex-member of these forums being know for selling other peoples edits. Seems strange to me that it would now contain "revisited" in the title and i saw my edit being sold with this as the bonus disc. The only thing i can't figure out is why was my Adywan logo removed and replaced with "orange cow productions"? Or is that just the name of the dick-head group who are making these bootlegs to sell?

Dude, the guy is making profit off of YOUR creation, the one YOU envisioned, bought things for, etc., and he even had the audacity to remove your NAME from it.

No matter who was with you, if I was in that position, I would've said something for sure! Imagine how shocked he'd be to have the actual Adywan himself approach him.

Just noticed a slight goof, not sure if it's been corrected.

Somewhere right around Vader's "With our combined strength" line to Luke, the angle switches between in front of Vader to above him and Luke. During one of these changes, Vader's outstretched hand goes between closed in open. Minor, but it's there.

They all look over-satured, perhaps with the exception of http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb298/rpvee/vlcsnap-2009-12-04-14h52m31s35.png in which case her lips look over-satured, but her skin tone is fine. I still don't think that's how the original movie looked and I'm pretty sure Ady's CC goals are to revert it to pre-SE?

Well I'm just saying that the color can be brought out more to present what at least seems to me like more life-like coloring. And personally, I think that Palpatine ROTS screenshot enhanced looks perfect, but maybe they are over-done to others' eyes.

I must say that, despite color correction and enhancement efforts, how well do they really work? On VLC Media Player, if you boost the Contrast a LITTLE BIT, and the Saturation a LOT, the lack of color in the original file becomes clear. Here's some stills from Adywan's own ANH Revisited to show just how much better still the color could be. The top is the original, the bottom with the effects on:

While this is more 'colorful', I think Luke and Han mainly just look sunburned.

And the other images?

So will ESB:R be that enhanced?

EDIT: Clearly I don't know how to post images here... can a mod help?

Thanks, Ghost and rcb!

1. Should I use the Force theme-BANG-Force Theme intro for all of them, for a saga-wide effect? Or would that be too repetitive/lazy looking?

2. Should I use the Duel of the Fates finale for all of them, for a saga-wide effect? Or would that be too repetitive/lazy looking (or should it be used only for the prequels)?

For the middle part of each, where most of the dialouge is, I'd have different music for each one.

Anyone?

1. Ady made a Yoda puppet?

2. Ady, what is it with you and these "it's split second so it doesn't matter" things? The reflection, the floor... it shouldn't matter how short it is, heck that should mean it's easier to fix because it's not a long shot. You went through ANH and fixed every little thing to make it THE version of the film. Why not the same for ESB?

But i have proved that there should be no reflections. And i didn't fix every little thing in ANH. There were many things that i left alone because they were insignificant or too quick to even notice

And, no, i haven't made a Yoda puppet

You did say that the tip of Vader's blade would appear for a couple frames. But hey, whatever, if you don't want to...

Then what's lighting up the Star Destroyer's bottom?

Also, for all my years of loving the Star Wars films and watching ESB, I never, ever connected the ship that takes off to the Executor to Needa. I always thought that it was just a TIE Bomber taking off... wow, that makes that shot so much cooler now!

Excelent work, Adywan, I'm looking forward to the changes-commentary-track-thing on the DVD next year because I, like shanerjedi, can't even notice all of the changes (for example, I have no clue what changed in the asteroid field, and I've loved the movies since I was four).

You actually could open TPM with the crawl suggesting that Naboo has been invaded and then pan down to the Queen's ship escaping the blockade.

I think that'd be too abrupt. By that scene in the original film, we already know the characters and their personalities. With them just being thrown at us so abruptly, it would be too hard to get into it, imo.

What if, when we first enter Coruscant and see that long shot of Valorum and Palpatine on the landing platform, instead of the exciting music we have, we have that dark monk-choir-thing from ROTS ("Palpatine's Teachings" on the soundtrack)? There are no real happy scenes that take place on Coruscant, or at least not many, and I think having a darker-toned introduction to Coruscant, the place where all of the galaxy's screwing-over comes from, might make it more serious. Especially since our heroes are going there because of a dire situation in the first place.

You are welcome. :)

There is a thread about Empire Strikes Back Revisted: http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/STAR-WARS-EP-V-REVISITED-EDITION-ADYWAN-NEW-TRAILER-AVAILABLE-NOW/topic/9060/

You can find updates from Adywan in there, though these past few weeks, there have been merely suggestions and excellent picture-ideas as opposed to actual updates. I'm sure that more news about Adywan's progress will come though! At some point somewhat recently, he did post a screen capture from his computer showing how much of the film was done, and how much was left. He was very close to done!

I think he means he is inserting Adywan's cut scenes back into Revisited, and making a German language edition of it. Is that correct, Zen? As to your search for Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi Revistied, Adywan is still making Empire Strikes Back Revisited, it is expected to be released next year. He has made a brand new Wampa monster, a five foot Star Destroyer to do model work with, he is really making it excellent! But it is not done yet, and he has not even begun thinking about Return of the Jedi yet, I think.

I hope this helps! :)

But is that really a fix? Or is it Ady pleasing the fans? I think Ady's right in this case... It's not needed.

If there should logically be a reflection there when there isn't one, no matter how small, then yes, it would indeed be a fix.

So should i add just the smallest tip of Vaders lightsaber to just 1 frame? Because thats the sum total of frames where you may even see it

If you want your edit to be complete and definitive in terms of fixes (something that I believe you started Revisted to do in the first place), then absolutely, you should add that tip to that one frame, and anywhere else it might be needed.

I like that idea about reflecting light in those tubes behind Luke, too, but I'm just starting to become a frequent poster here and I don't want Adywan to hate me, lol.

Well, i've just looked at the whole sequence and that is the only shot where you may even see a reflection from the sabers. But upon a closer inspection the most you may even see would be the tip of Vader's blade. Here's a very quick sketch of the reflection

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

As you can see, Lukes stance is leaning forward and tracing the line of the leg that we can see , the line of the floor light and his other foot which is off the side of the floor light there is no way you would see Luke's blade at all. So, is it worth adding just the tip, even though you may not even see it anyway? I don't think it's worth it

It depends just how correct and "realistic" (as realistic as Star Wars can be) you want to be with your edit. If you intend for this version to be as definitive as ANH:R, then I would say that means adding even that little bit of reflection, for the sake of completion and so that you can say that you're the first one to fix EVERYTHING in one of the most popular and famous sequels of all time in one of the most legendary film sagas of all time.

That is SOOOO much better. That shot has bugged me for so many years now, that even just a fixed picture is awesome. Thanks!!! Now if Adywan can do that, I'd not only be very impressed (because I have no idea how the above image was even done), but also very happy! lol

The helmet has already been fixed. It was a nightmare to do in motion but i managed to pull it off in the end (after tearing most of my hair out. lol)

You've heard this hundreds of times, but you're amazing!!! How on earth did you do the helmet in motion? With reflections and everything?!

I can't wait for this to be finished, but I know that patience is needed. How long does it usually take for a fanedit to appear on the page with all the Rapidshare-jDownloader links? That's the only place I know to get them, and I when ESBR gets up there, I want to get it ASAP since Jdownloader takes so long to begin with.
