"Skywalker? Are you related in some ways to Anakin Skywalker? Former slave/pod racer?"
"Not that I'm aware of... Anakin Skywalker, eh? Wait a minute, that's my father!"
"He IS? Man... didn't you hear about it? He became Lord Vader."
"Oh crap! I better change my name fast... to... Anikin Starkiller, how does that sound?"

You think maybe Lucas got some ideas from it? (hint hint-nudge nudge)
Yamato had a big influence in science fiction and in space battle sequences, but I doubt GL ever knew about it... or maybe he did, didn't he used to live in Japan in the early 70s?
Motti, Tezuka was the father of modern manga and anime...

There was this campaign by Nokia here, in which they presented the life of unusual people, like a man who only walked backwards, a man who thought he was invisible (he went to a ping pong game and started playing with the ball in front of the players), and they conected in some way with the cell phone, the man walking backwards see the cell phone on a store and walks foward to see it, for the first time on his life, the invisible man discovers he is not invisible when they take a pic of him with the cell phone. It's not "ha ha" funny, but it was pure genius.
There's the famous ad, with an elderly couple sleeping on a dark room, and a bug starts to make some noise, you know, "bzzzz", and the old man gets a can and starts to spray to kill the bug, and they turn on the lights, and there's spray paint all over the wall.
The bizarre ad by Sega, with the poor ping pong player in China that played with his ears, and since he was a kid he was pulling his ears to make them big... cant explain it, you gotta see it to belive it.
And another one, I think it was a X-box ad, which featured a woman during labor work, and she shoots out the baby out of the window, and it flies over the sky, screaming, and it gets older, and its a kid, then a teen, then a man, always flying thru the sky, screaming, and when he gets old he lands "puf!" on a open coffin. And it ends with "Life is short" on the screen. Thought that was cool.

where do you live in brazil, if i may ask.
I don't know what's so awesome about it. It's a place like any other.
I did see that movie, I enjoyed it very much, I like that kind of gangster-movie, altought I must say the reallity is not that brutal and violent, and the real people involved were not so young as the actors cast. It was supposed to be set during the 70s and 80s, and they speaked like it was 2001 (something non-brazillian viewers would not notice). My favorite brazillian movie is "Boleiros", which narrates 5 or 6 short stories about soccer. Unfortunally it's completly untranslatable, and audiences outised Brazil would never get the jokes.
I live in São Paulo, it's probably 3rd or 4th biggest city in the world, I think it loses to Tokyo, Mexico City and NY. It's about 480km away from Rio de Janeiro.

RRS I'm not, I can't cook at all.
Here, McD's ads are translated to something like "Love it all very much", which sounds better, and allows word permutations. But I hate McD's, and I hate TV ads.

Ewoks could be served with a light salad, or maybe potatoes, never serve Ewok meat with anything warmer than the cut of meat itself. And always serve red wine with red meat (beef, pork, ewok); you should keep the white wine for the fish, chicken, or mon calamari. What a romantic evening, a candlelight dinner with your loved one serving "Ewok a là mode du Sith", with some fine red wine from Coruscant, aged 25 years pre-ANH, with some Kenny G on the stereo...

Like that joke, which I belive is from Groucho Marx: "I have the heart of a 14-year-old boy. It's in a jar, wanna see it?"
