Not everything has an exact explanation. It's more like an abstract paiting, you can explain how you feel about it and what you belive it means, but there is no definitive answer because no interpretation is wrong. Remember when the Force had no real explanation? Wasn't it a lot better then today's midchlorians? I rest my case.

THX 1138 - What a Special Edition SHOULD Be.

I can't belive I'm hearing this from someone who opposes the Star Wars SEs! It's not a question of improving the movie or not, it's about preserving the original films... While I am able to watch the original SW, and I did, I will never watch THX1138 in its original form, and I never did.

An article of lies and disgust - George Lucas talks re the 2004 OT SE DVD release...

OK, so I'm guessing it is NOT illegal to download and distribute the original trilogy at all, or even sell it. Why, those movies never existed, and movies that does not exist have no copyright. So I'll download it, burn some DVDs and give them to people who want to buy the Lucasfilm DVDs.

I don't know about you, but I REALLY want to watch the Three Stooges with all-new computerized colors and synthetizer soundtrack right now. And I want to burn every other black&white copy.

Pink Floyd Concert

I know that australian band, they are one of the best, I've listened to their live version of Dogs, and it sounded so close to the album version...

I don't belive Pink Floyd will ever re-group again, and I don't think Roger Waters is going to tour again - he was here in 2002 and I missed it . But who knows, maybe one day they might do a world tour again, performing classic songs such as Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Echoes (my favorite song), every songs in Dark Side opf the Moon and Wish you Were Here, Dogs, Confortably Numb, and then Echoes again...

You're not supposed to understand 2001 like that, it has a different meaning for each and every one of us. That's the whole beauty of the movie, it's like listening to a symphonie and someone saying "Oh, what the composer meant by these notes is that he has lost a loved one and his coutry went to war and the winter was very cold that year and...", no, in fact, we get our own feelings about it, and understand it in different ways. Some songs that make you depressed can make other people happy. In that same way, you cannot "explain" 2001, you can try to verbalize what you understood by it.

yippi..
im not alone

Lost in Translation is very good, it's more like a haiku poem than a film... Way better than the overrated "The Virgin Suicides", Sofia Coppola's previous film. And of course, the soundtrack is by Air, great musical group.

PG-13 Revenge of the Sith

I don't get why people think just because a movie is rated higher by the MPAA, it will be a better movie. Just because it's more violent doesn't make it better.

Can't him film a PG-13, or even something close to R, and still get a PG? I mean, he's George Lucas, bad filmaker or not, he has GOT to know some people that can work it out for him...

I still wish to see a NC-17 Star Wars movie, based only on violence, with no foul language or sex.

I don't think talking about religion gets people against each other. I'm a catholic, but I don't follow strictly the catholic doutrines, I'm more of an agnostic. I apreciate every single religion there is, I think there are fascinating things in judaism and budism... If someone gets mad or violent or fanatic about their religion, then that person has problems, I mean psychological problems. You can come to me and say "catholics are all a bunch of stupid people", I'd just smile and say "Oh I see, and why?".

And since I'm posting this, and I'm in a hurry right now, lemme ask you guys something: in north america, when you buy a car, the only fuel you can use on it is gasoline? Are there other options (besides diesel, that's for trucks)?

I belive his decision don't involve this thread at all, at least I hope so...

It's not hard, really, as a matter of fact it is quite easy to learne. The verbs are conjugated in a very simplified form, there are no "gender" thing in words as latin languages have, it is almost as easy as esperanto, I belive. The most difficult language to learne as a 2nd language are those that does not involve the ocidental alphabet (A, B, C), such as arabic or japanese. I'm trying to learne japanese by myself, and it has been very difficult with all those polite forms and adjective tenses and 30 thousand kanji characters and stuff.
