My Generation Rocks!!
Time
Please do excuse me if I'm wrong here, I might be, but it seems to me that americans are too hipocrite when they talk about politics. They yell out their extreme-hardcore-right or their centered-right position (there are no strong left-wing parties in america), and oh boy, they'll run over whoever disagrees! Michael Moore will ignore the guy who made "M.M. hates america" and deny any interviews as he was some sort of god; Bill O'Reily will avoid any confrontation, tell his oponents to shut up, and when they have a point against him, he'll cut their microphones out. Everyone has a position on this, sometimes unjustified: sometimes someone is a republican because he's family and fox news told him so, sometimes someone will be a democrat because the internet and liberal newspapers told him so. There are no real concearn on the issues, it's mostly allegorical: "oh, I'll vote for Kerry because he supports the medicare reform, I have NO idea what that means and I've not been to a hospital in years as I'm rich and can afford my own doctors, but I'll vote for him", or "I'll vote for Bush because he freed Iraq, I had NO IDEA what or where Iraq was before 9/11 and I don't understand the middle east politics, but he did one hell of a good job". And then, as the election comes, it's one big parade, one big joke. People don't care to vote, people don't care to know more about their candidates, they don't care if the voting system is horribly corrupt or insanely inefficient. It's one big TV reality show, and everyone is invited to be a part of it.

Of course, I don't mean ANYONE here. People here (except someone who has been banned recently) are political active and know what their saying. And if I offended anyone, well, I meant to offend republicans AND democrats equally.

If this gets to be confirmed on episode 3, there will be a lot of angry fans.

Bush and Nuclear Proliferation

Sometimes I think about how is this all going to end. It will, someday. As a rope that has a start point always has an ending point, human kind will not go on forever. But how, how are we going to end? Apart from the obvious meteor theory (which could happen tomorrow or in a billion years), the only possible scenario I can imagine is a nuclear war. It will probably happen someday.

Einstein said once: "I don't know how we are going to fight World War 3, but I know how we are going to fight in World War 4, with sticks and stones." I don't agree with him. There will be no one left.

Many, many people hate Michael Moore, and I think that basing the title off of the title of one of his shameless propaganda pieces could alienate a significant number of potential supporters. That, and Moore is just a total piece of shit and we shouldn't associate ourselves with him, he's a shameless propagandist with no credibility, why would we want to guilt ourselves by association to that? Anyway, there is plenty of time to come up with titles, that is the least of our problem, let's worry about getting this project off the ground first. We don't need a title until it is done, let's get it started!

I know, it was a parody of the Michael Moore title. Also, it's a title most people know as being of a documentary.

Sure, let's!

Add this to the horrific battles of island hopping and you have a problem. Estimates of 5 million men needed for the first wave of an invasion. Another thing to remember is that this was a country that was behaving as brutal to the people around them, if not more so, than the germans. IIRC death estimates on the US side alone ranged from 1-5 mill. I have never seen stats on the Japanese side of the coin. Either way that is disturbing. Disturbing, but not as disturbing as the idea of Hitler having his own, which was under developement.

I have heard and read on inumerous ocasions the opposite, that Japan was ready to give up. The whole Japanese surrender agreement has been written before Hiroshima. In fact, all those evidences of the japanese military ready to give up were somewhat hidden of the general public so that the bombing seemed justified. OK, I agree that it might sound justified, a bomb that killed millions of inocent people in a horrible way so that other hundreds of thousands of blood thirst soldiers didn't die with a bullet in their heads, sure why not. But what sickens me is that some people are actually PROUD of the bombings. Proud.

The Things We Hate And Love Thread .

I used to go to the coutry side during summer vacations back as a kid/teen, to our family's old farm, and I watched a pig being killed to be eaten later. What really shocked me wasn't the screaming pig, or the blood and the organs coming out and running through the muddy grass, but the smell coming out of the pig ("I thought this things smell bad... on the outside..."). When that smell came to me I couldn't see anymore of it, I almost fainted. About 8 hours later, I was eating that pig, with no remorse. About a week later I've watched another pig being killed, but I stood still and watched it all. So, when people tell me "oh how can you eat meat, those cute little animals", I tell them that story: if I was strong enough to see it and eat the pig later with no problems at all, then I allow myself to eat meat, guilty free.

I know that I said I wouldn't bring political discussions here again, but this is not realted to politics, bu to human life.

I still can't imagine why could anyone support any kind of nuclear armament, even those hardcore right wing conservatives. It's so stupid it's ridiculous. As Carl Sagan said, a cold war between two nuclear superpowers is like two persons dipped with gasoline to their waist, one with 2 matches, the other with five (the M.A.D. theory thing).

Watch "Dr Strangelove" if you want to see the abusrdity of nuclear war
Watch "Threads" or read "When the wind blows" (I'll post the link of it later) if you want to see the horror of nuclear war

Now, is there ANYONE here in favor of the USofA or any other country getting more nuclear weapons?

Lazy, lazy Lucas.

Well, but thanks to the DVDs, we know this will not happen, and that probably Jar Jar will not die on episode 3. Vader destroying a planet by himself would be kinda ridiculous, I mean not even Yoda would be able to do such thing, but it would make some sense later: "Don't be so proud of this technological terror..." you know the rest.

There was a Star Wars Tales Comic Book a while back with a story about Luke Skywalker and an apparition that he kept seeing and fighting. To make a long story short, the apparition was Darth Maul. A scientist had taken the two halves of his body after the events of TPM and placed them in a Bacta Tank. Inside the tank his body was connected to a vast array of wires and electrodes that kept his brain alive and thereby his connection to the force. As a ghost he kept appearing and attacking LUke and various people. Of course, Luke found the scientist in his laboratory he simply cut Darth Maul' life-support, end of story. I just wanted to tell you that to show that you weren't the only to think that DM may have survived in some reincarnated state. That story was published in a comic book authorized by Lucasfilm itself. So, next time someone tells you that there is no way that DM could have survived, maybe you could point them to the nearest book store to pick up a copy of the SW Tales to prove them wrong.

Shoot and you think that MY ideas are weird????

George Lucas APPROVED the above mentioned crap oops I ment pulp.....

+ It's REAL funny how serious some of you take Star Wars - guys it is just a series of neat movies... you know, moving pictures that tell a make-believe story. So there is no need to throw on your Star Wars costumes and throw a fit over mere fan speculation.

It's official. Star Wars is no better than Dragon Ball Z, now.

The Next Superman
Time
New Superman movie? Hmnn... Seeing this movie after what Cristopher Reeve did with the character will be like Joel Schumacker's Batman compared with Tim Burton's. But the good thing is McG is no longer attached to the project! It would be filled with chemical brother's music and bullet-time scenes. Drew Barrimore would be Lois Lane, Clark Kent played by Hugh Jackman and Superman played by a fully CGI character.

Gah, I twisted my right wrist yesterday, and I can't write with my right hand without getting some real pain, so I'll try to write shorter posts...
