I finally found something that dosen't wotk on FireFox: this web intranet interface I'm developing for this client simply do not work on Firefox. I'm not sure what the problem might be, but I asume it's badly formatted javascript - which unfortunally must remain like that since it's server-side generated. I also realized it's not possible to edit the propertie formname.elements[n].style on client-side with firefox (to make a textbox red, for instance).

I'll try to publish an example of this, and you'll be able to see for yourselves.

I think TheSessler here got the answer, but I must say...

"They would not convict a man if it meant sentencing an ...." well, since it ended in "an", and that means it starts with a vowel... So it's not "child"? Sentencing a child? A child did it?

A zombie?

An alien, from outer space?

Anne Frank impersonator! No?

Uh the president? The queen of england? I heard she can sell opium as much as she wants, can she kill?

OK it was Bond! He is a 007, he has permission from M to kill! He killed Blofeld and confessed with a smile on his face and a martini!

Mistrail? Perhaps a double jeopardy? The pre-cogs were seeing an echoe? John Cusack manipulated the jury? Al Pacino was yelling "No! You're out of order! This whole trial is out of order!" at the court? Tom Cruise was blinded by the sun and shot a friend, and on the trial he said "I think I killed him" and they replied "I don't think so."? He was the executioner? He killed Jonh G.? Suicide by cop, perhaps?

It's either double jeopardy, he was the executioner, it was in the middle of a war, he was some sort of a terrorist, or suicide?

Oh I know, it was a dream!

I'm not taking it lightly GundarkHunter.

Please, this test I mentioned here cannot diagnose someone, you can score 100 on it and still be someone normal.

Yes I do realize some of those syntoms are somewhat vague and could be seen in lots of people. But still these are just some common synthoms that could identify this problem. I don't have some of those synthoms described in those articles, I don't have a good memory and I'm not really anti-social although I'm not "mr. saturday night party"; but I do feel my mind works on a different "direction", I fail to understand what people are talking sometimes, I fail to read "between the lines", I cannot identify someone's voice over the phone, I do have compulsive hands and legs movements, numbers and patterns obsessions, and such other insanities.

What I wanted to do here is to warn people about it, to let people know. Like, if I had aids, I would create a post about it and warn people everyday to practice safe sex. Unfortunally I don't know much about it myself, only what I've been told and what've read about it...

And yes I know everything will turn ok, I have a milder form of it, so I can live a normal life with it (as I've been doing). I might seek treatment, but for some reasons I'll have to do it with a different doctor.

Well I think I've made my point already, so uh... perhaps this thread could be killed. I think I'd rather not talk about it anymore, not on a personal point of view.

What would you like to see in a scifi/fantasy web site? The time has come for a change...

OK there are pros and cons about this issue. Now, is there any chance of achieving anything if we keep the signatures? If there is, if we KNOW how we could acomplish that, then I say keep the signatures. If not, we could STORE then somewhere and remove that feature from the website. Of course, Jay's got the final word.

About the SQL commands I said, it's basically like that: (free SQL lesson everyone!)

DELETE FROM SIGNATURES - will delete every row from a table called signatures, asuming the signatures are stored in a table called that
COMMIT - will confirm the operation and effectively delete those rows
DROP TABLE SIGNATURES - will remove that table from the database

(Always perform a delete before the drop, so you can be sure it won't have any impact on stored procedures or something like that)

Ratings creep and the rhodian who flunked out of the stormtrooper academy.

So GL is pretty much lying right? They should ask someone who edited the film with him, so we can know what really happened.

GL using the "Greedo shooting first" thing to tame down the movie and get a PG? Well I think he would get a PG for it today. Remove the blood in the arm cutting scene and you got yourself a G movie.

Maybe he could have done like Scorcese did for Casino. He shot a head vise scene in which Joe Pesci crushes this guy's head in a vise, he made it as violent and gory as he could so the rest of the movie would be tamer in comparision and used it as a sacrificial lamb. They would rate the movie NC-17, he would remove that scene (which he didnt mean to include anyway) and they would re-rate as an R. For some reason, they rated the movie R WITH that scene. Scorcese even had to remove some of the more graphical parts of that scene before release (and it's still quite a violent, disturbing scene)...

Maybe GL should have done the vise scene with Owen Lars and some stormtroopers:

"Owen Lars, listen to me. I got your head in a f(BEEP)ing vise. Now tell me where are those droids you bought."
"Arrh... Arhh... F(BEEP)k you! F(BEEP)k you you motherf(BEEP)er!"
"F(BEEP) me? F(BEEP)k me? Take that you motherf(BEEP)er!" *squeezes his head, one of his eyes pop out*
"AARRGGH... f(beep) you! Kill me... Kill me... KILL ME!"
"Kill you? F(BEEP)ing s(BEEP)thead... TK-421, do this guy a favor will you?"

Do they even exist anymore? (the unaltered theatrical version of the Original Trilogy)
Time
I remember seeing in 1997 a comparison between how the original negatives were, and how good they looked after the restoration. It was scary to watch. We are lucky the movie wasn't completly lost or something, studios only began to properly keep their movies in the early 80s.

But DanielB didn't they restore the original negatives? Don't they now have at least a copy of that original film fully restored? I mean, I know GL dosen't want it to be released at all, but he NEEDS to have the film properly preserved! If he decides to change the Jabba scene again, he'll need to work on the original scene, he can't just superimpose a new Jabba there, he'll need visual information of the background. For him, it's like a canvas he can add his CG insanity, he needs it. I say it's restored and fully preserved, locked somewhere.

I've been diagnosed with this syndrome. I wonder if anyone else here might identify himself/herself with the symptoms described there. I always knew I was legally insane, well, now I REALLY am...

I'm posting this here because I think it's good to let people know about it, I didn't even knew such condition existed until today. I might declare this a dead thread later, if it dosen't serve it's porpouse.

This is so weird... Just 2 days ago I was looking for a copy of the dustin hofman version of "death of a salesman", which I first watched in a saturday night at 2am, about 8 years ago... And now he's dead. As I've mentioned before, celebreties tend to DIE when I read about them, see their movies or look for their material... So be careful Charlie Kaufman (I was just reading about him).

It would have been awesome if David Lynch had done ROTJ, but he did Dune instead. I think he would have been better off doing ROTJ, because it seems to me that everyone who didn't like Dune (the book) or didn't read it, didn't like the movie. Even he didn't like it...

If David Lynch had done ROTJ, it would be such a... weird movie. We would have John Hurt as Anakin, badly deformed behind his mask ("no luke am i not an animal, i am your father"). Luke would have weird psychedelic alucinations throughout the movie. It would be in black and white, mostly black, and there would be 10 minutes of dialogue in a 2 hour movie.
