What if someone else had played Obi-Wan instead of Alec Guinness?

Yeah, that would be something to see. Also, I wish I lived in an alternate reality where Lucas didn't have a dispute with the Director's Guild and Spielberg directd ROTJ.

It would have been awesome if David Lynch had done ROTJ, but he did Dune instead. I think he would have been better off doing ROTJ, because it seems to me that everyone who didn't like Dune (the book) or didn't read it, didn't like the movie. Even he didn't like it...

If David Lynch had done ROTJ, it would be such a... weird movie. We would have John Hurt as Anakin, badly deformed behind his mask ("no luke am i not an animal, i am your father"). Luke would have weird psychedelic alucinations throughout the movie. It would be in black and white, mostly black, and there would be 10 minutes of dialogue in a 2 hour movie.

Do they even exist anymore? (the unaltered theatrical version of the Original Trilogy)
Time
I'm guessing yes. I belive they have the whole original film intact and preserved somewhere.

I've asked a question some time ago and I didn't see the reply, I'm not sure someone ever did: let's say I own a movie theater and want to book Star Wars on it, so I contact lucasfilm or 20th century fox, whatever, and ask for it. They'll send me the 1997 version or the 2004 version?

So the petition is either an all or none situation. It's either posted in its entirety or not at all.

Well, he could state that "for database space reasons, only the last 10 thousand signatures are visible. if you are george lucas, works at lucasfilm, or something like that, and you wish to see every signature, please contact us at..."

Well, they don't know what they're doing here.

I know you can configure proxies on IE, but that is one of the things they did block, I cannot access Internet Options(and I really don't know how to do it another way).

So I just downloaded Firefox.

Oh! OK I got it now...

As for the petition, 68,000 signatures take up quite a bit of SQL space. If we are indeed going to be posting loads of new content and hopefully attracting more traffic for the forum, it might be time to retire the petition. The petition was once the driving force behind the site, but I think it might be time to move on.

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! DON'T GIVE UP THE PETITION! DON'T LET LUCAS WIN!!!!

If GL wins... we all lose! Unless he declares it a tie. Then GL and we lose. But, if we win... GL also wins. So it's a win-lose-lose-win situation. I'm... uh... I'm confused...

Jay you could make a copy of the existing confirmed signatures, remove those, and continue with it. People don't have to know who was the first person to sign it...

If anything, he's being a bit overly optimistic of Gates' fortune. He ain't undershooting it in any way, shape, or form.

Well AT LEAST someone has read the previous posts and understood I meant 8 million multiplied by the confirmed signatures. I know he's a freaking billionaire, I'm not that stupid.

Funnything is, that on one of the computers on which I installed Firefox, I changed the Firefox icon to say Internet explorer and I dragged the IE icon off the screen...

But someone appearantly prefers IE, because they keep deleteing or renaming Firefox and and putting IE back where it was. (I wish so much I could just delete it.)

1- It is a browser, even though it is mixed with the os kernell. It interprets html and support client-side scripts, so by definition, it is an internet browser.

2- Why didn't you also change the Firefox icon to IE's?

3- Maybe there's a startup batch script?

Now that I think about it, I belive you were correct. I think that "to throw" is actually "tirar" in spanish ("para" is "to", so you might have a translation problem there). I'm not so good with spanish verb conjugation, it can get very confusing even for latin language speakers, but I think it IS "tiré". The only thing I would correct there is "una". "una puente", as "puente" is a "feminine" noun.

EDIT: I just checked, it IS "un puente". Oops. So I guess you made no mistakes... Muy bien señor Chaltab, hablas español muy bien. Mejore que yo.

My school's computer's are all networked together and run off the same T1 connection line. Most of them use IE, so they are constantly bogged down by viruses that get through the firewall, despite all the security. I've Installed Firefox on every computer I could.

That's good. I wasn't defending IE, I was just saying that it could be done on IE too. Pretty much on every browser.

You DO have public transportation where you live, right? I know a lot of people in their mid-30s who dosen't even know how to drive and dosen't want to. And I agree with them, cars are nothing but a waste of money. Why do I have to drag 2 tons of steel to move 10 miles, where I work, twice a day, and using as fuel something as expensive as gold?
