What is everyone’s view on the “prophecy?”

If you think about it, Luke didn't do much at all. He simply let himself get captured by the Emperor and looked out of the window while the Emperor laughed of him. Then, he was atacked by the Emperor, and THAT made Vader think twice about the whole thing and throw the Emperor down the vault. So, even if he was not much of a Jedi, he was the one who brought balace to the force and who defeated (even if unintentionally) the Sith Lord.

Luke's ROTS Review (plot holes included)
Time
I've seen it again on saturday with my brother - which was cool because I didn't go out with him in years - and my previous analysis is kept. Good film, and best of the prequels, but NOT as good as any of the OTs.

Two things bugged me on the second view:

1- When Obi-wan is looking at the security holograms, he mentions Palpatine as the "Emperor". How did he know?

2- Anakin didn't look like he really needed the breathing apparatus his suit provides. He was screaming and all... I think Anakin should've been even more deformed/destroyed, unconscious and unable to breath for his own.

RotS is Anti-Bush?

Jesus H Christ people, let's not make this a political thread... It's like saying Dragon Ball Z is pro-Blair, it's ridiculous. Instead of discussing if Palpatine is a liberal or a conservative, discuss politics with political films such as "Bulworth", "All the President's Men", "Fahrenheit 9/11", "Dr. Strangelove"...

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF GEORGE LUCAS
Time
I have a Mad Magazine spoof of Star Wars back from 1997 SE. It has the "Star Wars Macarena", the "Hoth AT-ATs race", and more ideas for changes on the SE, such as inserting a scene with the SW cast in a coffee chop a la Friends, having the Gimp from Pulp Fiction torture Han Solo in Bespin, having Luke and Vader fishing together in a father and son moment... It also had never before released Star Wars toys, such as Yoda's love nest, the gay bar in Mos Eisley, and Jabba's toilet seat.

Boxtop mistake!
Time
OK this is my Vader cereal fanfic. Enjoy.

"Vader grabs a box of the cereal, and looks at it, puzzled. He sees his face on the box, but he can't read what's written, as the letters are not even similar to aurabesh. He opens the box slowly, and finds out a bag with some sort of cereal inside. He shaked the bag, confused, and opens it.

Vader then sees a bowl and a milk bottle. It becomes clear to him what he must do. He puts on some cereal on the bowl, just a little. Looks at the bag, loks at the bowl, and then puts in some more. He throws the cereal bag over his shoulder, and grabs the milk bottle. He looks at it, trying to decipher its meaning. He opens it, and slowly puts the milk over the cereal. He puts the bottle on the table, and grabs a spoon.

Vader looks at the spoon, looks at the bowl of cereal, looks at the spoon again. He slowly moves the spoon towards the cereal, and inserts it, diping it into the milk. After a short pause, he begins to move the spoon around, mixing the milk and the cereal.

Then, after a while, Vader grabs some cereal with the spoon, and slowly moves it into his head. he then realizes that there's no way he can put it into his mouth. He moves the spoon away, then moves it closer. He almost goes for his helmet, to let it off, but Vader suddenly gets pissed of the whole thing and throws the cereal bowl to the floor. He moves away, asking for a imperial officer nearby to clean the whole thing."

Well, I'm actually more likely to say something offensive or stupid on real life than on the internet, because I tend to read what I just wrote, and if I feel it's something stupid, I don't press enter and just delete the whole thing. When you say it, you can't go back, but writing it's a whole different thing. Of course there's the whole thing of being anonymous, but the opinions I've stated on the internet ARE my opinions, and if you ask me something I've said over a forum or a IRC chat, I'll confirm it.

3 critical issues

I graduated in december 1999 (over here, the school year goes along with the calendar year), and I'd gladly help, unless you don't need any more interviews. I am from Brazil, it could be interesting for your paper to have someone from an outside country and a different point of view and way of life, but of course you probably can't use someone from a foreign country because it's out of the context and stuff. Anyway, if you need help, e-mail me at my login name (right below my avatar) @yahoo.com.br - I'm not actually writing the e-mail for spam reasons of course.
