yea, but that was prolly the last thing on his mind at the time. he was just excited to get his movies done.
plus, people could've care less how close the DS2 was to Endor when it blew up. Obi-wan in ANH said that it was the size of a moon.
this is almost as annoying as arguing with my dad about there being inhabitants on mustafar and how Anakin and Obi-Wan should of died of heat stroke! :p

back to the Endor halocaust, i don't think it should really be a big deal about what happens to the death star debris and explosion. we're not watching star trek, though i'm a trekkie, so we don't care about that stuff. all we want is the fighting and storyline.

For those of us bothered by the Endor Holocaust Theory, are there any suggestions for averting this? Showing that the Death Star debris remains in orbit rather than crashing down to the moon would be sufficient and probably the best way of doing it; if someone's extending the finalé over several months, the formation of a ring system around the forest moon from the debris would be enough to signify this and would make for some interesting eye candy to boot.
from what i understand is that the rebels intercepted most of the debris before they hit the moon. that's EU however.
still, most of the debri i would think would burn up in the atmostphere.
i had a dream that this was all done. the film was so awsome! then i woke up and i was dissapointed. :(

by tatooine-ish, do you mean more of what it looked like in the PT or in ady's Episodoe IV revisited when R2's in the canyons?
i like it, only thing is the smoke stack looks out of place for the entire scene. but the canyons and stuff makes it look more like Jabba's palace would be in a much more secluded area.
it would make a lot more sense. like when the cockpit opens have a branch or two fall, or have debri fall of of R2 or something. the only evidence we really find that the XWing was on the planet was luke pulling snakes and seaweed out of his engines.
for a lamp that thing sure doesn't light up much. i've always assumed that it was used to look inside close spaces. it seems like it would be a flash light or glow stick more then a lamp.
off topic question but when luke uses the force to get his light saber in the throne room, does he try to kill the emperor and vader stops him, or does he mean to strike at vader?

Uh, if that mock up is to violent for star wars, then they need to go back and take out the burn marks from ROTS
