one thing i'm happy about all this is that i don't have to wait three years to see the next edit. i hated having to wait for each new pt movie. ady has them out within a year or year and a half.

Its one thing to have different sounds that are consistent with what came before, but its quite another to have an entirely new type of sound altogether.

Its like if Yoda suddenly spoke proper english, or the Millennium Falcon suddenly started sounding like an airliner.

On that note, even the lightsabers sound a little different in ROTJ. I realize I have issues with the sound in ROTJ....

It's funny you bring up Yoda, because in each movie he speaks in progressively more broken English.  It's not bad at all in ESB, he only speaks in "Yoda-speak" about 50-60% of the time.  ROTJ it's a little more, TPM about 75%, AOTC even more and the grand daddy of them all, from ROTS:

"Not if anything to say about it I have!"

Ugh.  Shoot me.  If there's any way Ady can re-jig some of Yoda's PT dialogue to seem a little less gimmicky, that'd be fantastic.

But back to ROTJ - there are a LOT of inconsistencies in that movie in relation to ANH/ESB:

- Imperial rank insignia
- Darth Vader's super-shiny suit
- Darth Vader's lightsaber hilt
- C-3PO's midsection wiring
- Boba Fett's armor

And I'm sure many others I haven't noticed, like Artoo's voice.

 i've noticed the difference in yoda's dialogue also, however, i like how he speaks everything backwards. A problem with that you have? driving you nuts am i?

i'm sure we would've gone with whoever george chose played as anakin. haydan is a good actor. when i saw him in jumper, i think he'd play a better superhero.

For the rest of us who grew up with the original film it was simply the only ending of the film and the way I see it it was a product of its time. To me it would be like removing or replacing The Power of Love from Back to the Future because the song is dated and Hewy Lewis and the News are so not cool anymore.

Sure Yub Nub is 'kiddy' but uh that's the Ewoks. If one didn't realise that an hour into the movie the ending isn't going to save it.

Personally I like Yub Nub because I think it's funny (I'm laughing with it not at it) and it's so ridiculously upbeat how can you not like it.

 i saw the OT a hundered times and i found that the new ending actually opened the galaxy somewat. yea we knew endor was won, but how did the other planets react. i think its pretty cool that he added that and the music also. the "yub nub" just doesn't do it for me when i look back on it.

he prolly thought the original anakin looked nothing like hayden and that's why he put him in there. plus i think he was trying to tie the PT in more with the OT.

I'll say I think the Obi/Vader 1 in ROTS is great... up until they start swining on vines over lava and things just get ridiculous. I think the moves, and the speed, and the saber and force attacks up until then are awesome. All that CGI near the end felt like gilding a lilly.

 i agree on the music. when i hear it, it just shoots emotions up in me. i don't think the duel was great though due to the fact that it wasn't really a duel 'cause luke was only trying to bring his father back.

The swinging i barely remember, but the gliding on the service droid platforms, that kinda bugged me.

Definitely rough, but I like it a lot.  If it's edited exactly like that, with slightly more sinister music, and a convincing stormptrooper head, that would improve the scene tremendously.

 i'm gonna have nightmares.

man i was reading the posts and i thought it was gonna be good! it was better! :)

i'm really tired right now and bored so just go with me on this.

of the six films, which do u believe had the best lightsaber battle? For me was the phantom menace. the music, the intensity, seeing the saber go through qui-gon and this maul getting cut in half. awsome! not to mention that darth maul was the greatest sith out of the entire saga.

one thing i'm glad they got rid of in the 2007 version is luke's screaming on the way down. it barely sounded like him and somehow didn't match up with the expression on his face as he was falling.

i know we've been away from hoth for awhile, but i recently just read ESB novel again and found something. when one speeder is shot it steers into the face of one of the AT-AT's and blows the head up. idk if we want to add this. i just thought i'd throw it out there.

i looked back on the scenes with the fight happening write outside the emperor's thrown room, and that's cool, but the problem is that the sheild generator is up during that time so the battle has to be a little farther away. it definitly should be closer though so we can see more then little specks moving and blinks.

the scene that will take him forever to do is the battle of endor. there's so much u can do with it. i personally would like to see the corvets doing something. maybe even something similiar to episode III when the republic ship and general grevious's cruiser are bombing the heck out of each other. that would be cool lookin'. :)

one thing that always bugged me in jedi is that at the sarlac pit when luke is slicing the guys up, where the hell is the marks? it looks like he's missing them. also when he deflects the blaster fire back at the one guy on the barge, the laser hit above him and he acted like he was hit. that scene needs a lot of help.

i know u guys already talked about the executor crashing scene. i was thinking of putting new music into it from when anakin escapes the droid control ship as its blowing up. as after he blows the generator listen to the music in the scene to the end and tell me wat you think.

wat is said in the 2004 dvd is actually the original line that is said in the novel. btw, there's a graphic novell called vaders quest which leads him to find luke and knows from that point on he's "skywalker" vader's obsession is totally based on making his son join them to kill the emperor. its been wat he's wanted since episode III. plus its the sith nature.
