slumberdore: Sended PM from DL links.
Yes, like the stuff. Very good quality vhsrips.
Screens from hungarian commercial tv broadcast versions. (Preview screens from filehoster site.) Its darker than other vhs releases?? (4:3! not 16:9)
My question: This '80s years and '90 years before THX release and 1991 WS TVRIP versions contain reel change markers??
This screens fromn previous days found vhsrip copy:
And the scene contain .44 Magnum audio effect:
This stuff old PreANH '77-80 bootleg version?? Hungarian 1993 rental vhs* versions contain magnum audio effect.
This French version from the vhsrip of the scene: https://sendvid.com/hlm69zui
This Hungarian 1992-93 rental vhs version of the scene: https://sendvid.com/tvfbmk42
*This audio originally created by Pannónia Stúdió from years 1984 and broadcasted by MTV-1 tv channels.
UPDATE: This French vhsrip publicated by Krissz, Malkitty and Knightsoft.
Please send request from original publisher from rereleasing the stuff encoded using x264 codec or original RAW (MPEG2/DVD5?) digitalization. (900kbps xvid too small from picture size. Min. 1500+ kbps required from codec.)
Here is the beginning of the french end credits.
It’s funny to see that in the penultimate frame, we see the english credits and then in the next frame the french credits are there. And the stars background is not the same too.
I suppose that it must be so in all the foreign ending credits.
The LDRIP or VHSRIP?? Found different (WideScreen) version vhsrip copy from net.
Video (Check, 00:14-00:16!): https://ulozto.net/!3GYrRq8keS7O/star-wars-iv-la-guerre-des-etoiles-original-non-remasterise-vhs-1977-ending-crawl-avi
New EP4 WS France VHSRIP found from net. Try it Google from searching. (Lenght: 1:55:46) This different lower quality than from youtube clips. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFg6iMK3ikM)
Update: Downloaded. 688*346, 900kbps, 25fps, Xvid, Dolby AC3
As promised here are shots 71-80, No DNR:
This is HEVC again, but this time using the MainConcept encoder which should be better than Handbrake.
This Encoder barely bad, smoothing/killing fine grain and encoding latency. Optimize from grain and 40+Mbps datarate. This 16Mbps bitrate too small in 4K. Previous HB versions 60Mbps sample encodes better and great quality.
Used MPC-HC from playing/capture the image. (and very old P4 PC. :S)
Have a look at these preview trailers on youtube and compare the framing with the Blu-Ray/DVD -
Some scenes, which were shot using 70mm (2.20:1 native) are slightly cropped at the sides. 90% of the film was done on super 35. And no, not all VFX plates were done on 70mm. Many plates are Super 35. They are all open-matte.

Star Wars '85-87 Australian TVRIPs found from net.
sample from EP4: https://ulozto.net/live/!7KSbo8izvPBU/star-wars-atv-10-1-11-85-mkv (Other episodes not downloaded.)
Better quality encode/source available? This *.MPG files original captured files or reencoded versions? (~2.5-3GB/episode) And available MP4/OGV format. (~630MB-900MB/episode)
UPDATE: This few MBs downloaded various MPG file and analyzed. Min. two or three pass denoising process required the footage. This MPG files 480*576 res. and ~2500kbps data rates, strong compression artefacts.
… There was a sample from the narrated version of Empire on YouTube but it isn’t available anymore. (I saw it in the 80’s, never owned it).
This sample (YT-rip) archived, available?? Pls upload the sample.
A Csillagok háborújából is létezik/létezett többnarrátoros változat. Kissebb eséllyel, ez MOKÉP-es mozi/tékás verziója is lehetett a filmnek. A Jedi-t, a '80-as években állítólag szinkronnal (Pannónia!?) is ment a mozikban.
Full denoised/x264 compressed (test!) version rls available in few days. (1.55GB)
Send PM from get DL links.
Csillagok háborúja- A Birodalom visszavág (1.rész)[Hungarian Voice-Over German ESB]
This hungarian narrated version?? The video archived?? (Deleted from YT.)

Your samples look great, and I don’t think there’s much more quality you can wring out of this capture. I would love to see your finished results, so please PM me when you’re done.
PM sended. Full x264 version available.

Yes, my capture of this was down and dirty like I detailed at the time in this very thread. No sharpening or other “enhancements” were attempted. The only thing I did was resize the image to the correct aspect ratio (for 16:9 encoding on DVD). This was done at the encoding stage in TMPEG Enc. This is probably where the deinterlacing was applied, but I it could have been in my capture device. I just don’t have the tech knowledge to tell.
I did send the raw files to Antcufaalb but am happy that someone is attempting to make this a little more watchable. Are you doing the entire film?
This RAW files format? AVI/MPEG2/Lossless compressed?.
Yes. Asked from X911 this movie 99% done, fixing minimal denoising/other glitches for 1-2 small (few seconds.) scenes. This movie probably available in future days. (uploading speed very slow.) And sending PM from DL links from future time.
ESB TP Ending crawl (Video Collector version) different deinterlace methods used, created two variations.
This V1 and V2. Poll these stuff, which better? (V1focused from reducing interlace glitches.)
SW 1977 Catnap sample: https://ulozto.net/!RQ8Qh3kK1/sample-mkv
This full x264 encoded Catnap RIPs available. ESB TP coming soon. (OFF: And 1982 Rental Starkiller VHSRIPs x264/HEVC versions available in few days.)
ESB TP sample*: https://ulozto.net/!pACuiHJpE/esb-tp-sample-avi
My reasons for DVD5 source:
- This movie not properly (over)sharpened --> pixel noise
- RAW MPEG-2/Lossless digitized --> X --> Authorized DVD5 release not properly resized, (de?)interlaced --> various interlace glitches.
*Interlace glitches fixed (not all! focusing these deinterlace filters from fixing.) And vhs noise removed. (probably ~95% or higher, remained very low noise) Pixel noise very minimalized.
RAW screens from :F:L:I:M:S:I:P:L:A:S:T:😄:A:T:A:B:A:S:E: site. Checking RAW vs. Denoised version.
Quick questions: Two ROTJ bootlegs available from usenet. This VideoCollector and Treadwell releases. Which is better version?

7 minutes sample video (watch or download): https://ulozto.net/live/!L5eiA8rPK/ps78-nfp-v1-5-x264-avi
Used files, VDub: PS78-v6.vdscript (if I remember correctly), NeatVideo: PS78_new profile.dnp file and PS78_v1-5.nfp file. This DNP file, Device Noise Profile file. This NFP file, Noise Filter Settings file. This clip encoded use from my neighbors Core-I3 machine. 😄 (6* faster than my PC. Rendering rate ~5fps)
Please tips from better deinterlacing and fine tuning denoising settings.
Hello. This Deinterlace methods correct?? (VirtualDub)
telecide 1.3.0 (all unchecked, treshold: 0)
2dcomb 1.0a (YUV/interlaced)
Deinterlace - area based v1.4 (tresh 27, edge 25, blend)
AlparySoft Deinterlace (Are based motion estimation) v2.0.295.060413 (This filter ShareWare!)
Neat Video V2.22 (Progressive, Temporal, 1, -40%, Intra-frame filter: used preconfigured Device Noise Profile and various Denoise Filter settings) This filter Demo/Shareware!
MSU Denoiser v2.5.1 (Auto, Bilateral, Use GPU, automatic noise…/careful noise… unchechked, Spatial 5-10, Photometric 80)
Very high (or low?) frequency noise not totally killed. This Denosing very hard, minimally killing small/low dimmed details from images.
PS78 RAW (MPEG2, grabbed from Vdub)
PS78 Denoised (grabbed from Vdub)
My PC extremely old and slow. Rendering rate 1-1.2fps! (Two Disc VOB files joined from one MPG file, without reencoding and frame accurate editing. Size: 8226710 kB, required codec from saveing cleaned video use MJPEG. This MJPEG version encode from finally xvid/x264 AVIs/MKVs.)
Newest PCs (Core-i3-5) rendering rate probably ~5-10fps calculated. This various Vdub filters not Multithread(ed) compatible/version. (except 1-2 filters)
This stuff downloaded from previous day.

A Jedi visszatér narrátoros verziójából van teljes VHSRIP kópia a “Pozsgay”-féle verzióból is. De, nem publikálták, tették fel a netre. A YT-on is volt fent belőle sample.
Az, itt megnézhető: https://ulozto.net/live/!PjS84xS87/star-wars-a-jedi-visszater-narratoros-verzio-pozsgai-jozsef-tolmacsolasaban-mp4
A másik két részből is létezik narrátoros verzió. A Birodalom visszavágból női narrátoros verzió létez(ik/ett).
A narrátorosból részlet, a YT-on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vscT7r9Yusk
Found another version VHSRIP screen captures from net.
